Trying to install this from a Ventoy created flash drive doesn't seem to be working for me. After getting into the desktop the installer won't open.

Audio not working well in my Ubuntu Laptop and wifi not working in HP Desktop. spent days to solve these problems and no success.
The upgrade was a total failure for me. I had to do a clean install.
I'm a brand new Linux user. I tried Ubuntu 24.04 yesterday. The icons were all massive so I changed the scaling from 200% to 100%. It left a black box underneath the window I had open and some flickering effects on screen. I eventually managed to clear the graphical glitches and then tried to install Chrome browser. It wasn't found in the app store and when I tried downloading and running the Deb file from the official site I was left staring at a whole load of files. I don't think Linux is for me if this is what I have to put up with 😢
You should use 22.04 LTS. It still lets you install deb packages. I'm currently running it and it's the best LTS version I have ever used. Wait for 24.04 to get some updates and then install it.
Also it's been around for two years now and it's really stable

No BTRFS option in the installer?
No, and in addition the new installer does not generate subvolumes for @ and @home any longer which breaks timeshift if you don‘t do it manually.

My experience installing Ubuntu 24.04 on Virtualbox is beurk. Less than minute after login in, it make Virtualbox crash every time. I did not have the intention of installing it right away, but testing is now kind of impossible. i am keeping Ubuntu 23.10 until the end of it's cycle.
Thought it was just me my gnome.service keeps failing.
@@Daltonson The weirdest thing is that it's giving me an error message that Virtualbox is trying to access part of the memory that cannot be written but when I go look further it's related to "nvlddmkm" which is related to NVIDIA. Anyway, it's never recommended to switch right away to a new OS. It's better to let the courageous early adopters find all the bugs. I am sticking to the 23.10 version until July. Have a good weekend!
