    Actually very amazing and very informative video man, your a hero even now a year away. I’m planning on diesel swapping my 98 Honda accord with the turbo 601 keeping it fwd and it’s really reassuring that I don’t need to do much internally to get 200 Hp out of it

      Most our stuff is for customers and only a small percentage want to show there builds. And then it's time 🤷‍♂️ the companies with no clients can afford hours of material online ever day. I can't 🙈

    How durable is the stock rear differential and automatic transmission in w124 and w201? 200hp in a 601 must be quite a bit of tourqe even if they are rev happy/ cheers

      606 turbo headgasket, m103 valve springs and forged rods much like the ones we sell. Then you can run 5-600hp every day and abuse it.

    Hi mate, I heard you saying putting low RS pump, can you repeat please about the difference. I though the higher rs (like 203) are the best because of the better cam.

      A 200-RS pump is "better" in the chase for maximum power. But that's not the normal om60x guy. The normal guy want his 400hp and a good daily driver. Then nothing beats 8mm elements and low-RS pumps. Much smoother, much more drivable, much better in every way!

      Send your injection pump out to Dieselmeken in Sweden for upgraded 7.5mm elements. That's it really...

    I live in the us im looking for a om601 or om602 should I get non turbo version or turbo version Ive heard om602 is the best out of them.

      Regarding 601 you have to import a turbo version because they where never available stateside. The 602 turbo is common and the better (easier) choice.

    I just bought a 1991 300d W124. Its mint inside except the headliner and the needs some paint. But it has low mies. only 101k. Im wondering if there is any write up online on what I can do to the engine to give it some more power. its soooo slow rn. barley any power. The previous owner straight piped the exhaust. Any advice would be great. I also would love to know what common maintenance I should do the car. Is it same a gas car? Plugs, filters, oil change,?

      I don't know if you have turbo or non turbo but first step is to send your injection pump out for a 6mm upgrade. If not a turbo just find a stock om603 turbo exhaust manifold (Euro preferably) and a turbo that fits. Even with something small like a stock turbo (om603 or om606) it will be an incredible difference.
      Service and maintenance is like any other car.

      @@FtunePerformance Thank you for this advice. Ill research the fuel injection pump upgrade. The engine is the om602 5 cyliner 2.5 turbo. Im going to do an oil change on it today and compound buff the paint. Love this thing. Ill never sell it.

      @Eric in Miami look up Benz Injectors from TX they can build you a good 6mm pump stateside witch saves you the hustle of sending over seas.

    So, I had read the om602.940 had oil channels for the cooling of the pistons, which is what makes the rods weaker. Also, what about the turbo om662? The 120HP one is an om602.940 with a turbo fitted.

      602.940 is a DI engine and not an IDI engine. That's sort of the biggest difference.

      @@FtunePerformance no, om602.940 is Indirect. It is used in the t1 vans and has prechambers.

      @@FtunePerformance Google is wrong, not sure why but there is mixed reports but I own a 1993 T1 can with an om602.940 and it has prechambers. But these were as originally stated, made with oil squirters (I can find the MB document showing this if needed).... And the om662 was based on this engine, made in both NA and Turbo versions. The differences for the turbo version were the larger oil sump and pump and an om605 water pump plus a mechanical pump with alda.

    just get an engine from an mercedes vito it has an om601 2.3 turbo engine ir an ssang yung mercedes 2.9 d diesel it as the w602

      The om602 2.9 is as you know direct injected and runs by a VE pump. Many has been tuned but they don't make tons of power. Good engines though.

      Built 6mm pump and a stock 606 turbo will make that a good driver.

      @tupbup2666 you can buy an upgraded pump from either us here at F-tune, from Dieselmeken in Sweden, Mynä in Finland or Benz Injectors in the USA. All have 4cyl pumps in stock. If you don't want to pay for a new pump core I recommend that you pop the bonnet of your car and look there. There is probably an injection pump on the side of your engine 🤷‍♂️

      You take a 605 gasket and cut off one cylinder. For a 603 you take a 606 gasket... And for a 602 a 605 gasket.
