They are two talented women..Bonnie & Kathy, can you imagine what fun a weekend with them would be like😊 glad you got some much needed rest, see ya tomorrow 🤗😘
I was immediately captivated by your snowy scenery. Gorgeous. Once again, the books you highlighted are very inspiring. You have an enviable collection ❤
Glad you were able to get some much needed rest! The snowfall looks so lovely, we haven’t had any substantial snow in the NYC area in quite awhile. I miss it. Hope you have a warm cozy night! 🫶🏻
Love embroidery and have some of Kathy’s books/patterns also. It looks like all the talented ladies live in Oregon! I should have stayed there. And oh how I wish it was snowing at my house instead of rain! So pretty!
Always enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee or tea and going through books like these if only to see the beautiful pictures. Makes me want to take a short road trip to a nearby town that has a thrift/antique store with an upstairs full of these kind of craft books. Pretty soon I'm going to have to add on another room for all these books I have collected over the past few years from watching you. Enjoy your day. Glad you got some good rest. 🛌😻😻
Thanks again for sharing so many ideas - I can’t decide where to begin. I think that’s so funny that your cats go outside in the snow! Look forward to seeing what’s next!
I love seeing your beautiful outside pictures, just so peace-full. The view reminds me of the years I lived in Newfoundland as a child! Love all the books you showed, by luck I have then all except What Once Was Old. Very pricey on the secondary market! Kitties are always so precious. Your red work is coming along beautifully! I started one thread a day on an embroidery WIP that I first worked on many years ago. You have inspired me! I want to do the red sampler that you did but might put a Victorian red work embroidered ladies quilt before it. Shirley
Today’s video brought back many memories for me. My older sister taught me how to do hand embroidery when I was 12 years old (many, many year ago). So needless to say I have been with needle in hand for most of my life. Thank you for showing the beautiful works of Kathy and Bonnie.
Beautiful snowfall!!! I have all the Kathy Schmitz books and the All For Fall book. I love embroidery and these ladies have unique patterns. Now I’d like to find more of Bonnie’s books. It’s just a joy to look through them. See you tomorrow!!
Thank you for sharing more of your library with us. I did not realize that Kathy and Bonnie had published so many different books. Another mission when visiting those second hand and used book shops.
I am definitely interested in your stitch cards and can’t wait until you show us. I have several Kathy Schmitz patterns and will check out Bonnie Sullivan.
Another perfect video for the season! I just love listening and seeing all the goodness! I do love Kathy Schmitz and Bonnie too.. such wonderful things to create.. Enjoy your day!
I have quite a few Kathy Schmitz patterns but didn't know about her sister. Now I need to look for some of Bonnies books. 😊 It's lovely to see the snow - we seem to get less and less each year here in Delaware. Thank you for all that you share!
Enjoyed seeing the books by Bonnie Sullivan and Kathy Schmitz...I have the fall book by Kathy and have stitched a couple of Bonnie's wool appliqué patterns. So very talented.
Will have to look at the books. A couple look familiar so I will have to ck my library of books. Love working with wool❤ very interested in your stitchy cards. I use to create stitched xmas cards, but its been years. ❤🥰🎄
Lori - so enjoyed seeing the pretty books of would appliqué and quilts. I was able to find and order A Change of Seasons for myself and my sister - we will enjoy those! Thank you for another lovely Vlogmas! Glad you’re safe from venturing out. Sleep is good and I’m glad you can catch up a little on your sleep. Be warm and safe!
Great to see you Lori! Can you tell me your kitty names again please. Thank you so much for introducing us to Bonnie Sullivan and Kathy Schmitz. I don't remember ever hearing about them. Those books are lovely. Thank you for your daily videos. I've been thoroughly enjoying them. Take care!
Cannot wait to see your one red thread project completed. A very tempting piece to start. We do have the same taste. I have been following both Bonnie Sullivan and especially Kathy Schmitz for years and I have all of her books that you shared. Fun Flosstube. Happy Holidays
Lori I had to laugh when you told your story of the day & falls alseep.Because that story is a page out of my book!😂 I started out embroidery from school. Then went to cross stitch. Just face it I love anything to do with my hands. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.❤
What beautiful snow! Here in Mississippi that's a rare sight. I had forgotten that Bonnie and Kathy were sisters. Two talented ladies and I love both of their work!
Thank you for showing us another great craft to learn. I always wanted to make something in wool, its a great craft to learn. I will have to order one of those books.
The stitching reminds me of Crabapple Hill. Those are really nice books. I liked all of the red cabins on the cover. I bought a flannel quilt kit at J J Stitches in Sun Prairie, WI this past summer. I should really sew that in January for some real coziness.
Thanks for sharing the books! I have Kathy's FAL book, but haven't stitched anything from it yet. You are definitely inspiring me to get out some of my older books and give them another look.
I’ve made many of Bonnie Sullivan pieces, but I substitute homespun fabrics where she uses wool. They still turn out pretty. You have quite a collection of their books, many of which I haven’t seen. I’m going to hunt down the French one, as I have so many yards of French General fabric that would play nicely her designs. Thanks for another great video. ❤
I LOVE to get my favorite books out and just sit down and look through them. Dream of all the things I want to make. It feels cozy to me. Think of which stocking I would like to stitch up next❤❤❤
I'm a big fan of Kathy Schmitz and Bonnie Sullivan too. I've been working on Kathy's Jolly and Bright redwork Christmas ornaments the last couple of months. I was hoping to get 21 finished to give to each of my children, their spouses, and my grandchildren this Christmas, but I should have allowed myself more time. Oh well. There's always next year.
I pulled a Laura Duet and schoomed right over to Amazon and bought some of those Kathy Schmitz embroidery books. They were all reasonably priced except the Yuletide one. It was pricier (of course). Thank you for the heads up. I love to do embroidery as well as cross stitch. Happy stitching.❤
The sisters were new to me so thank you for showing their books and patterns 😍
Thanks for sharing these talented sister designers. Such beautiful work.

Glad you were able to get some much needed rest! The snowfall looks so lovely, we haven’t had any substantial snow in the NYC area in quite awhile. I miss it. Hope you have a warm cozy night! 🫶🏻

If I won a lottery, I would have a huge library with easy chairs, a fire, and endless tea and cocoa, just so I could sit and go through my books.

Thanks for watching!
the snowy view of the back canyon is stunning and i can't believe the kitties want to go outside.
Oh, it’s their happy place … chasing things that fly and scamper. They’re both ferocious hunters and come from good barn kitty stock.
I love Kathy Schmidt, her little stand up animals. Her designs are beautiful. I must order One of Bonnie’s books. Beautiful talent.
Oh I can't wait to see your finished snowman applique.
I’m looking forward to seeing your finish of the BBD’s stockings. You are so close!
