Oh Lori! Your family is gonna love the French General bedroom! And there’s nothing like the anticipation of them coming to spur you on to finish whatever it is you want to get done! Then, you might want to think about taking January off and just do “Lori things” while you regroup! It’ll be fantastic and lots of wonderful memories will be made! ❤
The bedroom is phenomenal. Love the simplicity yet decorated beautifully. Your view out the windows is beyond exquisite. So love every moment of visiting with you. Merry Christmas.

You have made your French General bedroom so cozy and inviting! Can’t wait to see your future quilt kits when they get started. I agree with you, so many quilts to make and so little time. Actually, LOL, I have plenty of time, just have way too many quilts to finish. Take care!❤
That lodge quilt and it's fabrics...oh my. I hope you have time to get started on that. It would be perfect in your great room I think. So much to do, so little time...at least we are never bored!
I love the French General bedroom! It’s so beautiful and sweet!! I have no idea how you get so much done, you’re a talented woman. Thanks for another lovely video. 🥰
Hi Lori, the bedroom is beautiful. French general is one of my favorite fabric lines. You have done an awesome job. That bedroom is so warm and inviting. I can only imagine how excited you are to have your family come and how welcome they will feel. Enjoy your time🎄❤️
Your bedroom looks so cozy and inviting. I love the antique beds and the quilts. You also some lovely quilt patterns and fabrics in your stash. I look forward to seeing all of your progress.
French General is just the best! I love her books about jewelry and collecting supplies in New York so long ago. Enjoyed seeing early fabric. The feather tree is darling. I stared at it all through your visit. So many quilts to finish! Good luck with them. Thanks Lori!
Another great video. I remember Thimbleberries. I, too, did a few of their block of the months. Love the bedroom decor. I did notice your finished Pattern Basket quilt. Looks great. Thanks for sharing all your talents ❤
Your house is so lovely! Thanks for owing us around. Your decorating is perfect! Look forward to seeing what else you have in store for us. Have a fabulous day!
Lori, your French General bedroom is beautiful. Stockings are a very personal touch. I have done two cross stitch stockings but my favorite was a quilted one. Years ago I had a yard of cream fabric quilted and then made it into a stocking, so simple.
Your French general room looks so cozy. I love the color choices. That quilt pattern of Christmas in Italy is gorgeous. That’s going to make a lovely quilt.
What a lovely guest bedroom. Those beds are a real treasure! Looking forward to seeing progress on your quilts. I think we all have those projects we purchased while working and in retirement just need to figure out the time to get all those projects done! I made the Shepherds Bush stockings for my family. There are many to choose from and they work up pretty quickly.
Great find Lori on the feather tree. My kitties would enjoy it for sure. I made a lace net daring stocking & backed it in a red velvet! I also did a Christmas tree skirt using the same technique with angles gave it to my sister.Have a great day!❤
Thank you so much for sharing all with us Lori! The bedroom looks beautiful. I love Christmas in Italy! It's definitely on my list. Can't wait to see what you do to the feather tree. Thanks for sharing your the sweet and innocent sleeping kitties! Happy Holidays!
Once again….a home run video! I bought a new sewing machine at the beginning of COVID. It was a fantastic price at JoAnn’s! I have never used it and you have really given me the inspiration to get to quilting again. Beautiful fabrics!! That Lodge quilt will be fabulous!
@ it is. I have a few antique quilts made by family and unknown people. They are such works of art. Trying to clean up my crafting space and hope to start in a few weeks!
Wow great to see someone else has kitted quilt projects waiting for the whatever to get them done😂 Love me some french general. The spool tree has just sent me down a rabbit hole(thank you) I have tons of various sized spools and am thinking of a set of these on a shelf. Look forward to your vlogmas each day as I need the joy and distraction it brings. Also loved those twin beds!🥰🎄🥰 Take care Lori❤
The quilt in those French General fabrics is going to be stunning! Also, the bedroom is gorgeous! If there was a way we could add a few hours to the day but then we’d probably still want more.
What treasures you have in the feather tree. Hope you bring us along on your journey to rejuvenate it. The Christmas in Italy quilt design is so awesome. I am not a quilter, but I understand how you buy fabric just because you love the design. I have a huge tote filled to the top with fabric I bought just because I loved the designs. Mostly seasonal fabric. Always thinking I'll make some fabric Christmas trees, stars, or Easter rabbits, etc. I recently had my sewing machine cleaned and am hoping to get it out and do some simple projects. I just want to keep working on my cross-stitch projects and not start in on something else. Like you say.... just not enough time. See you tomorrow. 😻😻🎄🎅⭐🕯
I've been watching your 2023 vlogmas flosstubes. The cooking one from last year inspired me to make the Susan Branch recipe for molasses cookies. Delicious! Enjoy the making--and the eating!
Your quilts are going to be so beautiful! I can’t wait to see your feather tree in the future. I don’t have any Christmas stocking patterns. I crocheted my girls’s stockings (granny squares) 45 years ago. Happy stitching!!❤
Your French General room looks so nice. Love those beds. It was fun seeing the kitted quilts. I still love Thimbleberry fabrics. Always loved the colors. Same with Kansas Troubles. The French General fabrics were breathtaking. That quilt will be gorgeous. I know I’m going to have to do a deep dive into my fabric stash and decide what to make in the next year. You always inspire the urge to sew! I hear you on the need for more time when you’re a multi-crafter. There are so many more things I’d like to do and try. I need more hours in the day, and probably better time management. Too many rabbit holes to explore!
Hi Lori ❤ Great seeing you tonight ❤️ I too love French general. I think it was my favorite from the first time I became interested in quilting.❤ Love you guest bedroom. I don't decorate all my rooms. Take care see you soon❤

Love your quilt kits! I have made several fall Thimbleberry quilts and I have a Christmas and another fall one kitted up, which I had forgotten about. Now I need to go find them.😂
I also used to be in a thimble berry club. We made 4 quilts. They were seasonal. I have the Christmas on currently hanging. I regret that I gave the spring one away and long ago threw the pattern away. I look forward to seeing which quilts you get made in 2025.
Hey Lori…the French general bedroom looks so cute. Your family will be cozy staying in there I’m sure! I’m with you on the decorating it is always so beautiful and I enjoy it so much but it is definitely a lot of work. I go a little more simple every year and have given my girls what they want before I donate things. We have our family Christmas today as well as the kiddos Christmas program at church and my youngest granddaughter will be baptized today! It should be a fun filled blessed day for us! Have a great day!
I can see the excitement in your eyes as you complete decorating projects to prepare for your family! Oh, what fun you will have when they arrive! Thank you for taking us along. I hope one day you will get around to making those quilts because they will be so beautiful. ♥
Hi Lori, French General is one of my favorites as well as Kansas Troubles. A friend of mine gifted me several bins of Thimbleberries quilt kits along with instructions and additional fabrics, I had been collecting the Thimbleberries books and had quite a stash, it pleases me that Thimbleberries is still sought after.
Christmas blessings to you and family! Loved your old stockings, the yardage for the quilt club quilt. It seems the older I get, less decorating I do also, and it’s ok….
Oh Lori, The more I watch, the more I find we have so much in common. Furniture, decorations, cross stitch patterns and now Thimbleberries. I was in a club for many years and have several years of block of the month I never worked on. I believe I have the same one as you showed, however, in the other color way. I am trying to destash and they are slated to be sold, but am having a hard time letting go. The box is getting better and better!
Your French General bedroom is so pretty. I too, quilt, cross-stitch and have picked back up knitting. This year I want to add back in a hand applique project. If we only had an extra hour or two in the day, maybe we could get to all of the projects we envision.😊
I love your stockings! I bet they hold a lot of memories. I have made 9 needlepoint stockings, each a different designer but all wonderful. Your FG bedroom looks great!
The bedroom looks very inviting. The possibilities for the feather tree are endless. It is difficult to have enough time for all we want to accomplish.
Great inspiration on the French General fabrics and the Christmas in Italy quilt, that will be fabulous. I have a huge bin of Civil War fabrics or reproductions and as soon as I trim it down maybe look into starting a French General stash. I have 2 Granddaughters that may appreciate the more feminine fabrics. Your twin beds are beautiful and look great pushed together. 🎄☃️🪡🧵❄️🎅
Hi Lori :-)) The bedroom looks great l!! The French General fabric is so pretty the quilt is going to be awesome! I like a lot of different crafts as well and trying to figure out how to fit more into my day!!😊
The wide rick rack is great. Another favorite of mine. You have a spinning wheel! As a fellow spinner, I would love to see it. The FreGeneral fabrics are exquisite. Thank you!
More beautiful decorating! Thanks for the suggestion on folding the wide rickrack. I would have never thought of doing that. I have a couple of stocking ideas. With your love of quilting, why not make quilted stockings? You could make them all the same or you could use different patterns. I think my favorite idea is to use different patterns with the same fabrics or similar ones. Another idea is to use some of that jacquard woven fabric. You could personalize the cuff on each. No matter what you choose to do, I'm sure it will be wonderful.
Beautiful French General fabrics! Love French General too. Lori hope you are doing well now and fully recovered. Women are very strong. Your bedroom is stunning!
Oh I just love Thumbleberries soooooooo much!! I will have to dig through my patterns and see if I can find what I have. I remember that I have one of those 2 sided patterns and maybe I will be lucky and find the one that you showed. I would choose the woodland colors too. Merry Christmastime to you.
Love, love, love all things “Thimbleberries”. Have made a few of their quilts with their line of fabrics. I still have a few tubs full of their fabric! Love your decorations!
