Having looked back at Inside Out 1 I noticed something that I found quite interesting. At the climax of IO1 Riley becomes apathetic and can't feel anything but in IO2 Riley becomes overwhelmed with too much emotion, the latter almost being an inversion of the latter. I noticed a few other inversions between the two moves as well... - in 1 Joy is accidentally ejected from HQ but in 2 she is deliberately ejected from HQ - in 1 Joy and Sadness have to work their way TOWARDS HQ but in 2 Joy, Disgust, Anger and Fear are actually travelling AWAY from HQ - in 1 Anger, Disgust and Fear remain at HQ but in 2 Sadness is in HQ for much of the film - in 1 Joy tries and FAILS to return to HQ through a recall tube and pushes Sadness OUT to avoid the core memories turning blue, but in 2 Joy actually pushes Sadness INTO the recall tube whom then SUCCESSFULLY gets back to HQ - in 1 Joy (with Sadness) gets back to HQ through the sky, in 2 she (with Anger, Disgust and Fear) get back through an underground tube - in 1 everyone (particularly Joy) essentially says 'Riley NEEDS to be happy' but in 2 it becomes Riley WANTS to be happy, essentially going from Joy Riley needs you to 'Joy, Riley wants you'
This scene makes us remember our Anxiety Attack moments. I remember the day that I have a terrible anxiety attack plus Overthinking back in December 2018, I spend over a week 24/7 suffering that kind of emotion. My Anxiety Attack is much worse than Riley’s.
I went to go see Inside Out 2 in theaters. My heart started pounding very fast and I got frightened when I saw the scene where Riley had her first anxiety attack. I’ve done some research about anxiety attacks and they can be hazardous to your health. I haven’t had an anxiety attack before but I do struggle with anxiety
I don’t get anxiety attacks very much because I control my anxieties, but I’ve dealt with people who would constantly have one. So, this scene gave me chills.😢
Panic attacks and anxiety attacks are a little similar, depending on the intensity of your palpitations in the heart rate. I once had a panic attack so extreme that it was very tough to fight my mind and control my palpitations. Like Riley trying to fight her mind but Anxiety was putting way too much pressure on the console, it was too much for Riley from bad memories and thoughts hurting her so much. It’s like the mind gets corrupted like that whirlwind protecting the console from any other emotions.
I actually love ending scenes wear the heros are at the mercy of the villain instead of the other way around. And the villain needs to CHOSE to stop. This scene made me think about hiw scary it would've been if it sadness and/or anger gave Riley a depressive episode.

Amazing intelligence in so successfully creating these emotions in animations!! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL🏆 CERTAINLY Oscar worthy!

As someone who gets them this scene was a pretty accurate portrayal. The sad part is that once you start getting them, they become more frequent

Anxiety...you can't control someone just to protect them. It's all about free will.

Wdym "I sadly don't get anxiety attacks"?
@@gheata_playz874 Because most people my age would get anxiety attacks every 10 minutes while I actually control my anxiety.
@@loganthevillager9176 and you think that's a bad thing why?

Anxiety is like the Devil of Riley’s emotions
Yea IK Right She Created a Tornado THAT ANXIETY ATTACK WENT HARD AF
She's not exactly like the devil. She meant well and her love for Riley isn't misguided or twisted, she just doesn't know when to stop.
Shes not the devil, she has good intentions that lead to bad outcomes, same thing happened in the other movie
Of ALL of us
Yea! Joy was also pretty harmful! She was displaying exactly what toxic positivity is!
