I will choose 70.3 because it shines farther than 70.2. In version 70.2, the light spreads wider and more evenly. But in version 70.3 the light is more concentrated and can shine farther

I also have these two in my hands flashlights. I agree with you - 70.2 is much brighter than 70.3. Also 70.2 more floody. Thermal control in the turbo works faster in the version 70.3. The light is more pleasing to the eyes in the version 70.3, but white color displays better oddly enough 70.2. These flashlights are very similar and so different in terms of light.

Ok, so 70.2 is much brighter than 70.3? Is it like that in high mode too? Very noticable? Have 70.2 and wanted to buy 70.3 too but it seems it won't be so much better but for a slight difference in throw? I usually have 70.2 and Olight m2r warrior pro when walking the dog and 70.2 lacks that throw to some extent. I did some screenshots of the review to be able to compare high modes and 70.3 throws better and seems to be brighter in this mode.
Sawadee krub! I was looking for a definitive comparison of the Wurkkos TS-22 4700K and the 5000K and subbed to your channel after watching it. The only options on Lazada were the 5000K and 6000K versions and ended choosing the 70.2 emitter 5000K. The official store did not have the TSS22 70.3 4700K model for some reason.
Anyway, I don't know if I should return the TS22 5000K one because its tint is a bit too yellow compared to the Sofirn IF23 which I had also purchased from the Sofirn store. Wurkkos responded by saying I could buy the TS22 XHP70.3 6000K if I wanted whiter colored light. I replied to them that I was more interested in a longer ranged "throwy" model like the FC13, TD04 or the TS11 with the optional 18650 tube.
Wurrkos promptly sent me an offer for their *new* TS23 5000 lumen (yes, TS23 and not TS22) model with a tactical rear tail switch, instead of the TS22's side button. It uses the same 21700 battery like the TS22.
The new model has a special ribbed thermo-electric ribbed lamp head that helps to cool down the temperature much faster than the TS22. The emitter is the XHP 70.3 HI CRI 6000-6500K LED with a boost driver. There is a new yellow color on the LED that indicates the battery power to be between 50%-75% which I think that other Wurkkos light don't have. So now the LED will indicate green, yellow and red. Advertised maximum distance is 482 meters vs 191m for the TS22, therefore this model
Now, no one on UA-cam has reviewed the TS23 that I know of. Should I go ahead and buy the TS23 or wait until you have compared it against the TS22? It costs more than the TS22 about RM233 (approximately 1,790 Baht) but I get some further discount since I've been buying Wurkkos 18650 batteries from the store, including the TS22 5000K.
Should I go ahead and order the TS23 or wait for a while? Wurkkos is giving me a free nylon holster with the purchase as a promotion. 😀

The Aplos torch you were referring to is the T03 model and its specs are identical to the TS23.
Would you say the Wurkkos TD04 is a good flashlight other than the TS23? The reason I bought the Wurkkos TS22 and not the Sofirn SC33 is because tests reveal that the Sofirn's claims of outputting 5200 lumens in turbo mode is not even close. There's a review which showed that its ANSI lumens was less than 3,000. 😐

Turbo modes - both are impressive. What would you say about the high modes in both? I have 70.2 but I see 70.3 is a tad brighter in high mode and the flood in high is not so narrower in 70.3 than it is in 70.2(?) My impression is that 70.3 is better if you look at how it works in the high mode (better throw = you can see more, but not at the cost of flood).

I got my 70.2 5000k version, i wish it would sustain the turbo mode longer but it heats up very quick. It's a great even flooder though. I also have the SC33 which is 70.3 HICRI which has a hotspot that throws just a little bit more due to the beam profile. I also have the EDC35 which is the best thrower I have to pair with the 70.2 5000k flooder. The SC33 is good for a general use torch by itself. Now i'm considering the TS32 for a more serious flooder. 😂 The bonus is the TS32 spotlight mode will also throw further than the EDC35?

It seems to me that 70.2 has some tint shift from the center of the beam to periphery, right? Not very noticeable on video, but it's there, isn't it? How does it look in person? IIRC, this is an issue with all domed XHP emitters, to different degrees, and it disappears on dedomed XHP HI versions.
Tint shifts are one thing that can drive me crazy))
Hello sir. Yes sir. That's an issue of 70.2 sir. But its fine for me as long as it produces good beam. I just reviewed Armytek Prime C2 Pro Max warm. It is quite disappointing that smooth reflector & xhp70.2 cause a little purple dot in the hotspot. This flashlight is about 120$! It should have clear beam. Foe TS22, very good beam and price. I got TS22 with 70.2 5000K (not High-CRI) - found one second-hand for a very good price. The light output is epic! ))) At first the tint shift bothered me a bit, while I was shining at the ceiling and walls, but once outside, all worries went away. I have other lights with far worse tints that I still consider good lights (Olight Baton 3 Pro NW, for one).
The light, however has literally no punch, it's all flood. In this regard I see a dedomed 70.3 HI in my future. ;)

Does this light still have the auto lockout feature?
I know sofirn updated their sc33 model and you can now turn off the auto lockout, So I wasn't sure if wurkkos did The same thing

I use it with tactical tailcap and you don't have to worry about that anymore and you get temp on with half press.
@@weerapatkiatdumrong I found out how to disable the auto lockout!
All you have to do is turn on the LED indicator on the side switch, and the auto lockout feature is disabled. I find it very odd that this isn't even mentioned in the instruction manual whatsoever, however, I found another review online where They discuss it.
This obviously creates some battery drain, but as long as you charge your lights at least once every couple months you should be fine.
I still think the sofirn sc33 Is a better light than this overall, being able to disable the auto lock out definitely brought the ts22 to the next level!

Thx for your reviews. But I don`t see the significant difference between 70.3 HiCRI and 70.2 in color rendering. They differ a little bit. How is XHP 70.3 HiCRI in comparison in color rendering/beam with HiCRI Nichia 519A/B35AM and GT FC-40? Is the XPH 70.3 HiCRI is more powerful and energy efficient (may be cooler) but weak in terms of light/rendering/beam quality?
Hello sir. Not much different sir. 70.2 is floodier than 70.3. 70.3 is a bit further in throw than 70.2. For cri, my camera can't show much difference but my eyes can see the difference sir. 70.3 high cri has a pleasant tint. If compare to 519a b35am gt fc40, I think this 70.3 is better in colour rendering because it is a neutral white, not too yellow. As being a 70. 3 hi, I think a new version has some improvements. I think it's more efficient than the old version sir. For beam quality, this depends on a gasket and a reflector, convoy m21b xhp70.3 hi has a slight dark area in the middle of a hotspot while xhp70.2 in this host doesn't. @@iceman9874 The performance of tint depends on the environment sir. No snow in my area. I really want to try it with snow. High cri led is good for my forest and cycling. @@weerapatkiatdumrongdear sir. I compared M2/50.3 5000k with M2/50.3 6500k and 6500k is much brighter. I thought simply that the 6500k tin is brighter. But when i measured current battery drain, the 5000k has 5.3A only while the 6500k has 6.8A, by the same 4A driver. It seems that 6500k version of LED XHP50.3 has higher power drain by its design/construction. The similar results are between M21B 70.3 5000k vs 6500k. Both with 5A driver, drain by 6500k was 8.7A, by 5000k 7.7A only...So 6500k versions are brighter not because of tint only, but due to the LEDs power drain as well..
But maybe those differencies are just LED parameters tolerance...

Can you try something? Grab a battery that is about 3.8 V, and compare it with a battery at 4+ V (you could use both lights and swap cells).
I have discovered that my TS22 drops in brightness if you turn it on with a battery below about 3.8 V.
Strangely, this drop does not happen if you start with a full battery and just leave the light on (like in Selfbuilt's charts). It only drops if you turn the light off and then on again with a semi discharged cell.

Hello sir. You can check it when my vdo show a comparison image. However, not much different as you mentioned sir. I asked Wurkkos long ago why not 70.3 in ts22, they said not much different in the result. However they finally built this version because the market needs new leds.
