My Course: SIMPLIFY TO THRIVE: simplifytothri...
🎉Currently on sale for 48 more hours!!
In this self-paced, 8-module course, you'll learn how to clear the clutter from your home in a way that truly lasts. We’ll start by identifying what matters most to you, shift your mindset to see the beauty in less, and then dive into practical, step-by-step decluttering. If you're ready to create a home that feels peaceful, intentional, and easy to maintain, this course will show you the way. Let’s simplify your space-and your life-together.
Here's what some of my clients have said:
"When I watched the intro videos before the modules, I actually started crying from a weight being lifted that I didn’t know was there. I had no idea how much I had been holding on to so tightly in my life emotionally and physically, and the toll it was taking. This course isn’t just about decluttering a closet or two. This course truly is designed to cleanse and reset the mental and physical. It breaks down so many lies that we have been told as women in our society. It gives you support and such great encouragement. I looked forward every day to logging on and doing my modules. It was a form of self-care. I honestly found that because of the financial investment, I was even more determined to take the course seriously and challenge myself. If you commit to this course you will walk away the best version of yourself.”
    -Ashley S.
"Simplify to Thrive has been a beautiful blessing in my life. Margaret is a great encourager and she has taught me to be gentler with myself through the process of decluttering. I’m taking it slow and steady because it just seems to work best for me right now. I’m also learning to take a pause after a bigger declutter to enjoy and get used to the space that I’ve made. This is not always easy, but I’m trying. I can’t thank Margaret enough for being honest and real and making me feel like I’m not alone. I enjoyed the whole course, it’s filled with wonderful gems!"
    -Samantha W.

I have grandchildren and we only have a few things for them to play with. Too many choices and they are just overwhelmed and don't really play!! I love seeing my granddaughter pretend cooking in her kitchen, playing with her baby dolls and building leg towers. We need to go back to the basics of more simplistic play. Thank you Margaret for this video. God bless you and your family!❤❤

Things will definitely get easier with the stuff for kids over time. I have been a minimalist for nearly 19 years now, and when my oldest was little, we had a lot given to us that I over time would give away to other people. By the time he was ten and my second was eight, they only had LEGOs and a trainset. That was it. My now 16 year old STILL plays with his LEGOs (very creatively builds things), but now the 18 year-old has a computer (with restrictions) and that is it. He draws. He is my major minimalist child (only likes wearing black and grey for instance - his choice). My 16 year old likes stuff but is good at limiting things, but man does he want more, so we are teaching him about that since he will be getting a job soon (my rule for my kids is they have to have a job at 16+). Then our youngest is a toddler (age gap surprise baby)! We just don't have much for him at all because I learned what works and what doesn't work from when my older two were little. You learn to balance and see what should stay or go per personality. I think it helps is that I implemented a rule. They share a bedroom and they could only bring one toy to the living room at a time. It looks like you have a whole playroom, so that would cause them to want to have a full mess there filled with things and in their bedroom too. They will make things travel from place to place and won't use it all. Your kids are still young enough to learn a lot and understand it over time. I love your little library by the way. Very cute. You did a great job decluttering it all and I can see the overwhelm in your eyes!

I just did this last week! My toy rotation is phenomenal/great success. I separated the toys into bins based on their type of toy. I then put colored circle stickers on the bins and the same on the calendar by weekly. They only play with one big bin (and sometimes one little bin) weekly. It helps clear my brain from being bogged down from the decisions of it all. My 3 and 2 YO are now able to clean up the toys easily because they all go into the one bin. AND they have played so much more creatively this week and with so many fewer toys!

Such a satisfying before and after, but most importantly, thanks for sharing that the kids will be OK (and even better off) with fewer toys. Its been our experience too.
    Congratulations on 100K :)
And how great for you guys to be getting into home soon. That's an exciting happening!

Same with my two daughters, they have great imagination and use everything for their play. e.g. They cannot have only one doll each...they often play about school, so they take out about 8 of them a care about each, crazy 😅

I actually hear this a lot with girls! I talked with a momma who brought her young daughter into the process with her! So interesting and she even said her daughter understood the concepts. I know there's a lot that goes into that, but just wanted to share that success story! Amazing how different girls and boys were created!

I have a 3 year old boy. I recently left him with his books, balls, and stuffies. His floor is almost spotless.
When he saw he didn’t ask where his crap was. He said “wow!!!!!! So much room! Thank you mommy!!!!”
And now his baby brother has more space to crawl after him while they make their caves.
    Toys are such a scam!

Oh and you said you’re moving from an apartment to a home. That’s so exciting!! But I just wanted to remind you (and me) that just because we are in apartments doesn’t mean this isn’t “home”. I’ve been trying to shift my mindset too. This is home too ❤ but congrats!! We hope to get that house and backyard soon ourselves 😊

I think I might do toy rotation too, I often feel very overwhelmed by all the toys, stuff, books. The visual clutter is making me anxious a lot. I already did one of my children's room and their closet, and ended up taking a cabinet away, filling 1 container worth of blankets, baby stuff that's not worth keeping, sleeping sacks that are too small for my youngest, old muslins and such. And another big bag of stuff I don't intend keeping. Sadly the 2th hand market is flooded, so you don't get a very good price back on your investments, but for now, I can take them to goodwill and see what they do with it. 😊 as long if it's not here in my house. 😂 and still have a lot of sorting to do ❤

I’ll be sharing in one of my next videos!! I’d be happy to share now:
      Figgy play couch,
      Magnetic tiles,
      Lego bin,
A few soft sport balls(soccer, basketball),
We have a baseball tee that he hits balls from,
      Play silk,
One of them has a nerf gun,
      2 trucks for my littlest!
-also still finding those suction arrows and found a few items under their bed too that are lingering(I’ll send those to the shed this weekend if they aren’t playing with them)

@margaretmatheny thank you for taking time to respond 😊 I have enjoyed your channel for several years now. My children are similar age, but 2 girls and one boy! Our toys are pretty minimal compared to anyone I know (basically just 6 cube shelf totes that are categorized and then the toddler has another bucket, but he plays with the girls stuff too), but it's still overwhelming. I always look to see what you're doing with your kids stuff and family habits for inspiration! Thank you for providing motivational and Godly content 🥰

Hi. Totally get that! I just type in "best homeopathy for cough/flu/any symptom" and a few of the top homeopathy sites usually pop up for me. They have explanations of each homeopathy and how it could help a specific symptom. I was able to dive in because of this little method. For instance, there is a different homeopathy for each type of cough--it gets detailed, which for me was such a relief! I know exactly what to pull out when it's a mucusy, congested cough. You've got this!! There are lots of good homeopathic accounts to follow on IG too.
