The patience from Tani here is incredible. This is principled play of course, but its just cool to look at this example where Tani doesn't get sloppy with pawn advances or short term material wins; instead what is optimal in the long-term is what he chooses to do.
You've mislabelled the White and Black players in the screen banner. It would also be helpful to know what the difference is between a FIDE Master (FM) and an International Master (IM).
A FM has a requirement of reaching 2300 elo and no norms (a performance of a high level) and an IM has a requirement of reaching 2400 elo and needs 3 IM norms.
My apologies. The banner on the screen is incorrect. Tani did indeed have the black pieces in this game!
What about the title, is he an FM or IM?
Good question. I also want to see more games by Tani.
Idk if that had anything to do with it, but it also would have been nice to have black's perspective.
Tani's is a FM, he'll be an IM soon.
Very cool that you got to meet Tani after covering so many of his games.

Such a classy introduction. I love the chess community.
Nice game. I was wondering how Tani was doing.
On the video screen Tani is on the White side in the comments on the black side. Which one is correct? Apart from that detail, a superb game, thx!

Coyote is a fan of a Chess Dawg channel - I know it is not exactly nice behavior and is very politically incorrect - but I am laughing my ass off :D
