Always appreciate your reviews. Very thorough. Also appreciate that you are a real person with a real-world job, who gets his experience of bikes from daily use, and not someone who just cranks (haha) out the utubes with minimal knowledge. Invaluable. I share your attitude re the non-removable battery.
'Had delivery of mine two weeks before Christmas. I am delighted with its performance, comfort, and quality of parts and paint. One thing I noticed in some YT reports.... people holding cameras were riding one-handed. I confirm now that it is directionally very stable for a bike with such small wheels. The tyres are quite chunky, and probably help, but the castor geometry seems to be excellent. I get even more stability if I have a small, loaded rucksack hanging on the handlebar in front of the steeling column, which is pretty handy for light shopping.
Great content Brian! You have shown another fantastic use for e assist! For a long time I was a purist and thought ebikes foolish and wasteful. It really has applications for people with limitations of mobility, injuries, or beginning their journey to fitness or car free life. You definitely show the value!
Great vid Brian ,informative as usual. My other half has an e bike (Raleigh e step away) which has allowed her to come cycling with me when the weather is right.Down side is its as heavy as a tank.
Great review. Love the indepth ranting on the dislikes of the bike. The folding aspect in relation to the small wheel size is a disappoint for sure. Makes you appreciate the Brompton even more.
Good report, with some great observations. I just ordered a D3 Pro. I will get a cable lock that I can thread through the frame, saddle, and a policeman (!) so carrying the seat around is not required.
@@vasildimitrov1906 Sorry for the late reply. Yes.... Mine was delivered about 2 weeks from the order. I am extremely pleased with its performance and comfort. It is also very nicely built.
@@jadams3427thank you for answering, I actually got mine too only took 4 days to arrive big surprise as there are many bad reviews but honestly this bike is great quality for what we pay
I ride a L3, it's been all over Mexico. The range is amazing, 100 miles easily with some pedalling. When tired, I fold it and put it under the bus. Amazing company.
I fully understand the reasons given, and the cost...But like many things, I tend to lean to quality with things I really like. I am enamoured with Tern Bikes, Center-drive Bosch motors & eletronics, gates belt, really quality stuff. Yes, they cost as much as used cars...I don't have any of them, I'd have concerns over the weak-link center frame folding over time as well, but they also make a model that is I believe HSD which is still low profile, but doesn't fold, those things are beasts and can carry a load! But they are all $$$$$...If I ever live in a bikeable community, I'd consider ditching my car and getting an e-bike! Great review on this machine. That's the first I've head of an e-Bike with a battery that can't be replaced! Careful of battery fires with those inexpensive bikes!
Nice review Brian I have the fiido d3 pro myself although you can't just whip the battery out for charging you can get a replacement battery from fiido oh also I have changed mine to mph dont know if mines a newer version it doesn't come with the pump
Thanks for the excellent review. Nonremovable battery is a dealkiller for me. Actually, am looking at the zizzo eforte... have you been able to try that?
Cheers, mate. A clear and concise account of this little bike. As a 5'5" old chap, who wants a cheap run around to help me get fitter - would you recommend it?
Is a cheap folder frame, a HILBERAIZEL $115 bike off Amazon, worth upgrading over time? The bike itself, as it comes, isn't a good bike, I know, but the frame seems solid enough to pass U.S. customs crash tests. Would like to replace everything but the frame. Have chance to buy a beat up used one.
I thoroughly enjoyed the honesty of your review Brian, but was left with the distinct feeling that it was built to a price and the non-changeable battery is the biggest dealbreaker. Let's be honest, no one's going to hollow out that tube - the bike's landfill once the battery dies.
What does assisted speed max out at? Something like the British 15MPH? I think my electric Brompton is better in every way, but for the 15MPH speed limit. Oh, and it's not cheap.
I've been checking the, Ray Learns To Film, channel. From Singapore. There are so many Bromton clones over there it makes your head spin. Beautiful machines and most parts interchange with Bromton parts. Even there, they are expensive still.
We made a bet on how many times you would say "guys" in this video. My wife was the closest when you hit 28. Lol Nice review with many pros and cons. I have to be honest, the concept of electric bikes seems pretty lame to me. Bikes are so efficient by simply pedaling. Unless someone has a serious disability or extraordinary commute, I don't get it. I've commuted 10 miles to school, and 12 to 30 miles to work (one way) by just allowing for time. Granted, there were always showers and lockers available. The biggest con I see for this bike is stability. More power/speed is asking for trouble here. We love our Zizzo Fortes. Thanks for your insight. I've simply upgraded components as the cheap ones wear out. The latest was the same crap pedals on this bike. I found some real nice all metal CNC cut folders on Amazon.
LOL, it would make a good drinking game😂. Yes I myself don’t really ride electric bikes…. Only under specific circumstances….like being hurt or if I have a fancy shindig I have to attend and I don’t want to be sweaty when I get there. I’ve got a review I’m filming on the Zizzo Marino coming soon.👍
Great video! i have some questions since i'm about to buy one: do you have an electric scooter? like a xiaomi one? do you think the breaking have same effect that breaking in a scooter? do you consider this a good bike to go and back from work, 10km away?
This confirms that an electric bike is not for me. Realistically, no electric bike would be able to handle the mileage I would need it too. Whats worse is the state would require insurance and / or titling if it goes too fast with pedal assist.
I have asked in a fiido owners group on Facebook about this (battery) and was ready to cancel my order right now. But seems you are wrong that the battery cannot be replaced, that would have been a deal breaker for me. I’m in the UK and we deal in mph, all in all you slated this bike I’ve got it on order and the after-sales suck and they have chose Yodel as the carrier who are the worst delivery company to have ever existed.
you cannot purchase this bike : internal battery ... often these cheap bikes have rubbish batteries ... it will last at most 12-24 months. Crazy design. Also if you have a rear blow out an hearing its very difficult to change. AVOID. Good video.
Apparently he’s incorrect you can replace the internal battery. Overall I’m no longer sure I want this bike so on delivery it may be going straight back.

Hi i have the same bike and I have a question about a stand for this type and whether it can be moved somehow thank you
Can you adjust handlebar height?
Hi Brian , Great review as always.
How is your knee now - did you have any medical attention/medical insurance ?
Given the choice between being stuck in a bus or underground or the train and riding a bike I will choose the bike as well.
Hoi.i had a broken hip and my folding e bike realy helped me to recover from it and walk better.nice
Will you review Zizzo E-Forte?
It looks to be much more useful than this bike. Just a Forte with 250W rear motor and small battery for 41 lbs

Get a small extended padlock which you can slide short or longer for the seat. Weighs almost nothing.
