I got my tattoos long before I knew who God was. He still loves me and one day he will remove them for me.
Amen
Amen. That day is soon to come.
Such a wonderful faith you have. God bless you! Hold on to your faith!
You good and God loves you
Since it’s not written that he will remove them therefore that’s your job or death will.
I’m covered in ink! I got them from 18-24 years old. I was saved when I was 27 and will never get another one! I regret them deeply but I know I’m forgiven ❤
Jesus loves you! :)
Amen Heather. I'm sure they are amazing conversation starters allowing you to share your faith with others. Blessings.
Amen! God looks at the heart. God bless you and keep you 🙏🏻
Same.

Pastor Doug's delivery of the Bible is clear and concise always giving scriptural references. I am not a SDA however I am a Christian and have grown in my Christian walk watching the Man of God. Thank you Pastor Doug.
Nothings warmer and brighter than the Sweet Gospel of Christ
Thank you for covering this subject from a biblical perspective! I have a tattoo that I got when I was in my 20’s and did not know the Bible has verses against it. I have repented of it long ago and have told others about how wrong it is. Praise God that He is merciful to those who sincerely repent. 🙏
That's how the devil can deceive you. Sins are perceived as "not that bad" but even if you do not know GOD still judges and there is a reason why even the small things can prevent many from entering heaven. This is the devil's biggest secret. Demons love ignorance. Many celebrate pagan holidays with "Christian intent" just because they don't know that Christmas tree is giving praise to a pagan GOD of fertility all the way down to the dressings and contributing to Halloween in any way is sacrilegious...but people don't "know" ...GOD doesn't take this in to account because we have everything accessible to not be distracted and be aware of it all. The word of GOD and revelations of Jesus Christ was here before everyone currently born. You did not know, sure but this is a price we can pay for not being interested in the Father after age 7. We are all given a choice it's up to us to listen to the voice inside saying what inherently isn't right.
Before I became a Christian I was going to tattoo my husbands name on me when he passed. Holy Spirit spoke to me on the day I was scheduled to go. I'd already gotten a tattoo in my youth and felt ashamed of myself, but felt since it was in a place no one could see it I was ok. But since I wasn't a Christian it never occurred to me God could see it and my shame should be with HIM, not others. I didn't get my husbands name nor any other tattoos and shorty after Holy Spirit stopped me, I became a Christian. Baptized two years ago today.
Amen. May God keep guiding your convictions through the Holy Spirit, He’s always talking to us about even the simplest choices.
Glory 🌟
I would never get a tattoo. They are very ugly to me. God Gave us beautiful clean bodies. It is like putting garbage in your nice beautiful home!!
It was not God the Holy Spirit. God doesn’t care if you have tattoos. Bachelor is a liar.

Out of ignorance I got permanent makeup and was told it fades over time. When I got to know the truth, I instantly regretted it. I went for lazer treatment to get it removed and it was painful and expensive. There is always a price to pay in the end, most will pay a spiritual price.
I have micro blading for my eyebrows. I don’t think this counts as regular tattoos. It’s something that’s made to look natural. Not like an unnatural marking.
How can you stop baldness naturally
@@agabadelick9256 you probably can’t. Have to get hair plugs I guess
Pastor Doug, could you do a short presentation like this on gambling, sports betting, etc.
Thank you! Happy Sabbath!
yes Please! my son loves to gamble and tells me if I can’t show him it’s a sin by the Bible then he will not stop because it’s not wrong!
Not a popular message among young Christians these days, but truthful nevertheless.
Never understood tattoos even from non-religious perspective: people don't mind putting graffiti on their bodies while keeping their cars super clean with not even a single bumper sticker. In fact, if you were to ask them, let me paint the same tattoo you have on your body on your car, they will refuse. They value and keep their cars in pristine, original condition than they do their bodies.
Amen🙏
This is such a short and straight forward message to know what is wrong and right; however, we live in a world where human behavior is selfish, and it gets worse with each passing day. To fulfill the desires of the flesh and find excuse to live in sin is easier than to die to self-daily in order to follow Jesus. Let us not forget, there is victory in Christ Jesus...as Paul stated, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." Blessings
Love these 12 minute lessons filled with scripture and valuable info. I get more from these then many hour long presentations from other ministers. Maranatha! :)
Acts 18:24-26 (24 Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, competent in the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord. And being fervent in spirit,4 he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.)
This is only my human opinion based on the above scripture:
As christian, we should be empathised with other christian who work to spread the word of God; sometime they may not do a great job but as a brother in Christ we should have a spirit to contribute and not just expecting to take.
12 minutes of Bachelor the butcher waterboard torturing scripture.
God bless you Doug bachelor and you teachings, happy Sabbath everyone.
I was taking about this to our Sabbath School last Night. It's a blessing to now see a video about it. We are to imitate Jesus, not the customs of the world. Have Jesus written on our hearts, not our forearms.
The origin of the tattoo is from pagan religions who believed that their bodies were temples of the gods....so they wanted to "decorate" those temples. Once you know the meaning and origin of the tattoo why would you WANT to get one again?
This is exactly what I think. It is a form of worship towards self, and that is pagan.
So many times in my 20's I went to get tattoo's. So glad I chickened out, each and every time.

Happy Sabbath Pastor Dough Batchelor. Thanks for this wonderful sermon.

Thank you so much for making this very clear. I have so many people that I need to share this with.
I'm a navy retiree who first joined up in 1957. Many of us were proud to serve and got tattoos of the patriotic type, or some that said "mom" or one guy had twin screws tattooed on his buttocks. We did it because we felt macho. Years later after much embarrassment while working as a civilian for a major company and marrying a wife that hated in particular the one on the forearm. She convinced me to have it removed, which I did at a relatively high expense using the laser treatment. This was in 1995 that I had the procedure, to this day I have occasional pain in that area of the removed Tat. I'm repulsed with the concept people have accepted as normal to have them. It used to be only criminals put them on the neck, now more and more people are thinking this is cool. The bottom line for me as a Christian, I believe the "powers to be" and you know who I'm thinking of, is setting up for the acceptance of the "Mark" that is for an implant or some form of identification. In my opinion it would be no big deal for the ones who have ink or implants to have another insertion. It saddens me to see such sheep, just following along without thought.
The Mark of the beast is not about a computer chip or a tattoo. It’s not a physical mark that can be seen. It is a decision made by one’s self through freedom of choice. That decision is all about worship. Will you worship on the holy day of the Lord, and keep gods Sabbath holy as he commands in the fourth commandment. Or will you worship on a man-made day, Sunday, a day that pagans influenced the Christian church to make the day of worship. Satan has tripped and confuse the minds of millions and millions and billions of people. And on the seventh day god rested, he blessed it and made it holy. When something is made holy it is sanctified. Sanctified means made holy and set apart. The seventh day was set apart from the other six for a day of worship. I hope this helps. Read revelation chapter 13.
I got one and wish i did not get it Thank you pastor well done may God bless you and yours

U changed me and my children for the better. #3 which pertains to this episode....I have many tattoos....I regret them but what do I tell God? Will He forgive me. I think the scriptures in Leviticus are rules to live by and others are for respect for the Lord. My children eat meat but out of respect they do not eat pork or certain seafood. Dr. Russell Blaylock posts medical reference to the danger of the tattoo ink (which contains heavy metals) migrating to the lymph nodes (trying to help by concentrating the heavy metals and removing them out of the body through the lymphatic system). If the lymph nodes are busy pulling out the ink, they can't do their job of pulling cancer cells out of the body,The lymph nodes are impaired, and the risk of breast cancer escalates.
Thank you for the guidance.
Just one more comment...it is so awesome to hear a teacher who is not afraid to speak out against something wrong that has become so popular. I hear other teachers doing the opposite and leading the sheep astray! There is only ONE way to know God's will and that is to study His "whole" word.
I once walked to a beauty salon to tattoo my eyebrow ie permanent eyebrow shape, upon getting there I saw a woman on the couch stretching her leg as a sign of pain. I just walked out and never looked back. I thank God I didn't.

Thank you for bringing some more clarity on this from scripture. I already had something against it and knew it was in the Bible not to do it, but I didn't know the words were this clear.
I heard from someone who had a tattoo that it is also addictive. That's one more reason to me that it is not good to do this.
I think the hype doing tattoos started much earlier. When I was a child (they are actually still around) there were those tattoo stickers that would stay on for quite a while. It's moulding the idea that it's cool to have an image staying on your skin. My mom always forbid doing it. I'm glad she did and I'm doing the same for my children.
Yes, you are right.
In Australia in 1970's when you bought chewing gums a sticker of some kind of tatoo was wrapped around the chewing gum.
So children used to buy the chewing gum to get the temporary tatoo sticker which you wet with water and then put on the body part you like.
This temporary tatoo stayed on you fir few days and then gradually washed off.
I remember this clearly.
That was the indoctrination of Tattooing on children.
Devil works on the young ones first, because they are easiest to trick.
@Doug Batchelor I may not always agree 100% with you on certain topics but, I do believe that you honestly preach what you believe and that is HIGHLY RESPECTFUL in my book. We LOVE YOU GUY and KEEP PREACHING THE GOSPEL. You and your family are in our prayers!
Outstanding. I really appreciate how you put this together. It answered my questions. God bless.
Wonderful way in which you tackled a sensitive topic with compassion and honesty with biblical evidence 👏 I was tempted several times to follow peer pressure when younger to get a small hidden one- thankful my conscience (aka Holy Spirit 🔥) stopped me to win the struggle
Leviticus 19:19-28 is dealing with pagan religious practices. The previous verse commands not to “round off the hair on your temples nor mar the edges of your beard.” The context of all of this is for God’s people not to practice the religious rites of the pagan nations.
No one in your church ever comes to your house to make sure that when you plant a fruit tree that you don’t eat the fruit for the first three years, give the fruit as a praise offering in the fourth year, and then tells you that you may eat the fruit in fifth year (Lev 19:23-25) *Notice the speaker skips these verses when he goes over things that are still rules that are still binding and says “It’s in the same chapter, friends!”
And no one checks your hairline and your beard when you enter the church on Sabbath and asks you if you are trimming it in honor of the dead. And no one worries if you sow two different kinds of seed in your vegetable garden (verse 19) But if they see a tattoo of a flower on your ankle you’ll never hear the end of how much danger your salvation is in.
Tattoos have always been given in different cultures, in different eras of time, for different purposes. Some cultures gave tattoos as marks of social class, marital status, distinguishing members of one tribe from another, to mark an achievement, or even as a punitive measure as a mark of shame. In other words, tattoos have different meanings and purposes from culture to culture. In Leviticus 19, the tattoos being mentioned are meant as tattoos associated with worship of pagan gods. To simply write it off as a blanket statement against all tattooing, for any reason, in any culture, and in any era of history, is a bit of an overreach at best and legalism at worst. I feel really bad for other commenters in this video who seem to still be feeling some sort of shame or worry over the fact that they got tattoos years ago. If you feel it was a mistake, I would not tell you that you were wrong, but just remember the grace and mercy of God and you have nothing to fear.
JUST , Amen…….
Thank you Doug.
I was waiting for this sermon because I have a 2 tattoos 😭😭 I feel so bad 🙏🙏🙏 I was born Adventist and I know that getting a tattoo is a sin 🙏 I want to get rid of my tattoos. But I don't want to cut my skin anymore 🙏
You don't need to remove them to be accepted by God. We all make mistakes and fall short of the glory of God. Thank God for his mercy. I know many Adventists who have tattoos who either got them before becoming Christians or even while they were attending the church. The Holy Spirit convicts us all of our wrongdoing and when He does, repentance should follow. The fact that the Holy Spirit has convicted you is amazing. God knows your heart. There are ways to remove tattoos but that can be costly using laser removal. One of my good friends now just covers them up when he attends church. When he is in public, and they are not offensive tattoos, he uses them sometimes as a conversation starter and share his faith.
Just my two cents but I doubt that getting them removed is necessary. Getting a tattoo may be a sin but having a tattoo is probably not. Just like having lied in the past is not a sin but continuing to lie is.
Id rather bare the scars of cutting the devil out of my life than bare the marks of rebellion.

I'm 62 now. Never got one.
Yes it is.
I'm reminded of Ray Bradbury's The Illustrated Man. Years ago, those navy men who sailed the world, and got a tattoo of an anchor, or a heart with "mom" on it, those are understandable and allowable to my mind. They went into port, had too much to drink, then got a tattoo. But today's culture... man, I tell you, when the skin gets old and wrinkly these body coverings won't look so artistic then.
I have 2 and I immensely regret it, but I use it to teach my children to please learn from my mistake and not get one.
I regret mine! I wish I hadn't got these hideous things. Huge mistakes that will follow me through life and into that grave.
Great teaching real servant of God
You know, I've never had the desire to get a tattoo, but I did get my ears pierced. While I've grew up and have always been Adventist and knew you weren't supposed to get pierced, I went to a public school and I was the only girl in my peer group without pierced ears, and I did get them pierced. Now I feel bad 😭
If you believe that God will forgive you then you are forgiven

Countless times i experienced being different because im an SDA but we are the children of God we may become the Sermon or going with the flow.
Thank you for preaching the Bible!
I definitely agree that this statute of not marking our flesh is still in effect and part of God's design laws for us out of love. However Pastor Doug, I respectfully want to point out your hypocrisy. You say many times when talking about God's holy appointed times or festivals, that Colossians 2:14 says that the handwriting of ordinances or the Law of "Moses" is against us! And nailed to the cross.
In this short video you point out correctly that the statutes that involve sacrifices are done away with at the cross and that is correct. Daniel 9:27 is clear about this, that in the "midst of the week" the sacrifice and oblation was done away with. Sacrifice meaning anything that involves the cutting of the flesh with blood (including circumcision) and oblations are food offerings. However, there is nothing in Daniel 9:27 that some holy time is not holy anymore. There were sacrifice and oblations that were also associated with The Seventh-Day Sabbath. And clearly those sacrifices can be done away with, with the time remaining holy. With some fancy words and fancy footwork you try to explain away how Leviticus chapter 23 that starts out with The Seventh-Day Sabbath as God's holy appointed time is separated from the rest of Leviticus chapter 23 where these holy days and holy appointed times are done away with because they have sacrifices associated with them. The fall festivals, for example the Feast of Tabernacles, is the Harvest Festival and it prophesies and foreshadows the Harvest of saved humanity! And the Last Great Day of the Feast foreshadows the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Obviously I am not harvested yet and neither are you. All of the Fall Feasts which we are celebrating right now, if we believe in the statutes in the Old(er) Testament, are a glorious time to spend with our Savior and His Father! We definitely believe in the statutes, judgments and ordinances of the Old(er) Testament except that are the sacrifices and food offerings statutes. But you can't pick and choose the statutes that were simply written down by dear Moses as they were dictated by our loving Heavenly Family. Clearly it is written by one of my favorite authors, that Moses did not form any law.
Evangelical theologians call Seventh-Day Adventists inconsistent because they keep the Sabbath but they throw out the other holy times. And the Ten Commandments are part of the "Law of Moses"!
Written in the first five books of the Bible and then repeated in different parts of the Bible. There are holy times that are daily ( morning and evening prayer/ worship time without any sacrifices ) weekly, monthly and annually. They are at least consistent in throwing them all out. But most Seventh-Day Adventists are inconsistent in just keeping the daily and the weekly. There is no place in the Bible that allows the holy times to be separated like this.
All of the laws in the whole Bible are in the first five books of the Bible which is sometimes called the Law of Moses. In other places in the Bible, they are just being repeated. We cannot throw out the Law of Moses just to throw out the feasts (moed, or better translated "holy appointed times") of God. His holy times, special times for Him to come especially close to us, His dear bride. They were not for the Jews and they do not get thrown out because "the sacrifices were done away with". In Genesis 26:5 Abraham was keeping the laws and the statutes and the judgments before they were written down. Even Noah knew about the statutes as he knew the difference between the clean and the unclean animals.
I totally agree that we should follow the laws that were designed by our Designer for our happiness, out of love and appreciation for everything that He does for us. You shouldn't commit homosexual acts and we shouldn't defraud and we should love our neighbor as ourselves and we shouldn't mark up our skin or commit bestiality and we should allow the poor to come into our fields and glean and we should help the widow and the orphan and the hundreds of other statutes in the "Older" Testament.
Let's be consistent and not be mocked by the Evangelical theologians anymore. Keep all of the holy days and all of the statutes in the Old Testament. It is a blessing that many people experience and many people miss. The Law of Moses ( which is the Law of God) is not a buffet that we can pick and choose and have a strong sermon on why.
I pray that you will allow this post to be read by everyone who reads this thread. I pray for you everyday and the great huge responsibilities that you have and the massive amount of work for the Lord that you do. I know it is not easy and I know that you are under attack a lot. I pray for your health and stamina as you continue to lead people to heaven and salvation. But I pray that one day you will be consistent in your choosing of what you will do and not do in the Older Testament and the first five books of our holy inspired book.
Amen and Amen! And next Tuesday, October 11, 2022, will be the start of Tabernacles - praise God!

Doug I watched cosmic conflict and I enjoyed it
I've messed up. I kind of went nuts when I turned 50 and got a couple of tattoos. I had designed them myself, (no dragons spiders, snakes or devils, I hate that). No one sees them because they're on my back and upper arm. After watching this I don't plan on getting another one any more. So what do I do about the ones I already have? I'm currently 68 and I don't want to make anyone stumble.
I believe it's a matter of conviction. The Bible says if we confess our sins, He's faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This is a matter of faith and how sincere you r with God. He never turns anyone away. We've all messed up before...all have sinned....Just keep your faith and like u said, not getting any more tattoos will be a prove to God you've repented. God bless you Ma'am!!
Stay faithful and at the resurrection HE will give you a new body. However, you will not be able to stop anybody from talking. Just show GOD in your life and use it to be a witness with those who have tattoos.

The tattoos in themselves won’t keep you from being saved. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Some of us may not have visible tattoos but sin has tattooed us. God is very merciful and forgives us when we ask.
Yes it is. Tattoos can also be a sign your demonized
That's how people in Biblical times identified Pagan priests. They were tattood.
Wow! I did not know that.
Hey Brother! Happy Sabbath Blessings to you! I hope to see you online tomorrow 😉. Have a blessed evening. 🌅🙏🏼☝🏼🤗
That might explain why the modern tattoo industry insists on artists getting a tattoo if they wanted respect from their peers.
yes everyone with a tattoo is a pagan priest amazing logic 🙌
Interesting idea...
to know if tattoo is sin we must first understand two important things.
1) what is sin?*
2)Why did God give us his "law"?*
*Sin is anything that hurts God's plan and will, or our body, soul, or mental healt.
I say this as someone who first read the law simultaneously with Microbiology, and Immunology books.
*You tell your small child rules and regulations, not to spoil their fun, but for their protection.
Like running into the street without looking both ways, and taking candy from strangers.
The rules of the law are for our protection.
when I read the law, It made sense knowing microbiology.
Going deeper into studies of the human body I learned that the Ink placed under and in the skin layers triggers an immune response by your body. it's a foreign object and your body works to remove it. that's why they fade.
While I got a tattoo of my wrench and rachet in the shape of a cross on my back with script around it in Hebrew. I was planning on finishing the tattoo by adding the script in Arabic and English.
After knowing the ink causes an immune response, and in the age of weaponized disease and germs..
I will NOT be adding anymore tattoos to my body for any reason.
In short, not necessarily depends on your reason but its heavily advized that you dont.
Yes, tattoos are a sin. Pastor Doug covered it very well. If you have sinned in this manner, repent, and don't do it again.
Made it to 89 without a tattoo, never suffered for it. Did consider it a few times, my cereal number and blood type on my wrists or arms for easier identification and quicker transfusions, but never did and now I no longer live that lifestyle. Glad I didn’t.
Amen.
I'd never be able to pick one.. I don't get it really anyway.. that saved me from tattoos and words on t shirts.
I had a girlfriend for a short while that had them which was fine I guess but when it came time for her to get bored and wonder if she should get another I threw my thinking into the arena and wondered if there was any real point to such a thing plus the expense...
So needless to say she immediately gets a big one as soon as possible and I add that to a stack of boundary tests and emotional blackmail schemes to see if I would kinda chase if she ran or scale a wall if she put herself in a high tower.
It got old.. and frequent.. and shallow...
So it ended and she became a stripper that was eventually diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and all the tattoos were backward badges of honor and markers of failed relationships that didn't survive the "will you still love me if" test that was the entire relationship and person.
So I know atleast sometimes people are decorated with screw yous and verifications of the validity of their paranoid life schema. Abandonment insurance
I have 🙏🏻✝️ tattooed on my neck. I’ve been saved and baptized I will be in heaven
Hi
I have tats and once i found out that Christians shouldnt get ink i stopped . Is this a problem ?
I like how Doug brings up the prohibition against consuming blood. Most Christians are oblivious to what they eat. I don't think, however, that the primary reason for the dietary laws (given to Israel) were for health purposes (as much as they were for keeping them separate from the surrounding culture of Idolatry.) It served as protection. Same goes for many of the other prohibitions regarding appearance, clothing, etc..
Great points… what about piercings ?
Poor, sad. thing. . . . . Are they for peer acceptance? Does it matter how they're adorned in hell?
I have a question on this . So my line of work I sometimes get cuts in my skin by accident only does this count as well ???? Which I don’t have tattoos.
I think it is talking about cuts that are made on purpose. Not by accident.
Then there is also surgery, that will give a cut as well. That's a cut that's made there for a health reason.
I don't think that anyone ever got a tattoo "by accident".
But they're definitely is a fad going around nowadays where poor depressed people for one reason or another make cuts on themselves on purpose.
I'm planning on getting my one and only tattoo in a few days. I'm getting one of my deaf son. I found him in his garage after he took his own life. I was not aware of what the Bible said about tattoos. I've already paid half.
I'm getting it over my heart ❤️
Hello thank you for the video personally I don’t have tattoos not one. But please explain revelation 19:16? How do you reconcile that verse? Thank you 🙏
That is very simple if your read the context. It is symbolic language and therefore not to be take literaly as Jesus having a tatoo on His thigh. In the previous verse is talking abour a sword that is coming of His mouth. If we interpret v16 literaly, so we should do with verse 15. But that is not the case, it is symbolic language and does not mean that is okay to have a tattoo.
But is indeed written, it is not on His skin but on the clothes, because he is wearing a robe (verse 13 vesture = robe)
Revelation 19:15-16 KJV
15. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Why it was written on His thigh?
"Not until he fell crippled and helpless upon the breast of the covenant angel did Jacob know the victory of conquering faith and receive the title of a prince with God. It was when he “halted upon his thigh” (Genesis 32:31) that the armed bands of Esau were stilled before him, and the Pharaoh, proud heir of a kingly line, stooped to crave his blessing. So the Captain of our salvation was made “perfect through sufferings” (Hebrews 2:10), and the children of faith “out of weakness were made strong,” and “turned to flight the armies of the aliens” (Hebrews 11:34). So do “the lame take the prey” (Isaiah 33:23), and the weak become “as David,” and “the house of David ... as the angel of the Lord” (Zechariah 12:8)."
@@vaio4908 thanks for that explanation
Short answer: YES!
Pastor Doug, I would like to expand on Leviticus 19:14, I do not think Leviticus 19:14 is meant to be taken literally, although we do not want to do those things literally in which it says, I believe it’s actually symbolic also. It’s to be understood more deeply than what you explain. We shall not curse the deaf meaning we shouldn’t bastardize someone that will not listen to the word of the Lord. And we should not put a stumbling block before the blind meaning that if someone is not willing to obey the truth, knowing the truth, we should not give into that by allowing them or aiding them in committing sin.
It would be like ordering a pizza and having it delivered, and it was a pepperoni pizza, because you do not eat pork, you give it to somebody who will eat it. Somebody who either knows that you shouldn’t eat it, but refuses to obey, or somebody that just doesn’t have the knowledge that pork shouldn’t be eaten. I hope this helps.
Finally...Excellent points regarding the dead. A gigantic amount of tattoos feature death imagery. Another large amount are done as a remembrance to the dead. It is basically a demonic addiction as Doug notes, almost no one has one tattoo. I also believe its a self- centered "art movement" that is based in nature worship. The big Yakuza fish tattoos harken back to Dagon the Fish God of the Amalekites. Most tattoo cannot be seen correctly or even fully by the wearer unless they look in a mirror. then we come to the real reasoning -self-centered ness. And the mirror image is reversed- a trick of the devil. Its as if the person want to take a small walk on the wild side, then the tattoo culture lures them in and they get more an more. We are supposed to be transformed by the renewing our our minds and nor conformed to this world. Back to the art movement, people believe their body is a canvas for them to create their imagery, per Doug's comment, that imagery is destined to fade. The tattooing trend is a very simple example of man's fascination with evil. I do like using more New Testament examples as most people cant handle the levitical examples..Jesus did not come to destroy the law- he came to fulfill it. It will be hard to explain your "heart" when you have skull tattoos all over your arms.
