Happy Sabbath from Crestview Florida and Fort Walton Beach Seventh Day Adventist church.
No, it was the great moment of divine separation. It appeared as if He did but that was the apex moment of His paying for our sins, a moment without the Father.
@@Martins913 We have NOTHING to do with Koresh and his "BRANCH DAVIDIANS", we suggest you do more studies along this line. The Branch was an offshoot of Ben Roden and his Branch theology. Davidian Seventh-day Adventists were the "original" Davidian group and were founded in 1930. Roden stole the name way back in late 50's early 60's.
Gethsemane is where the great separation took place beginning the three days and three nights sign of Jonah and it lasted until the resurrection.

Happy Sabbath Pastor Doug!🙏📖🗡
Happy Sabbath

Pastor Doug, Very in-depth explanation of Jesus’s words of seeming abandonment by His Father. I tend to think that Jesus felt this for one brief moment on the Cross. I believe that Jesus was well aware that His Father had Not abandoned Him, but for that moment the Father could not look upon His beloved Son, bearing the sins of the whole world. After all, Jesus “became sin for us, who knew no sin.” God could not bear to look upon His beloved Son in all His suffering, now apparently tainted by sin. But it was for a mere moment that God turned His back. Jesus, though never doubting His Father’s love, for one brief moment felt pierced by this turning away by His beloved Father, and uttered His cry of desperation.
Very well explained, and expounded on. I well knew about Psalm 22, but I was not aware of some of the other referenced verses. I'm glad I didn't pass this video up just because I "already knew it".
Happy Sabbath
God bless 🙏
When Jesus ask why he was forsaken I think he was feeling the pain of being completely abandoned by God, no redemption.

Thank you Doug God bless you and your family, Happy Sabbath Everyone!

He most certainly did not!!!
Dear brethren fellow citizens of heavenly kingdom and the saints of God and heavenly family forever, if Jesus lost His faith on the cross we will be lost forever beloved. He kept His faith with His father in prayer and there is no love, He can't help Himself because I love and I laid down my life for you. Amen! What a wonderful Savior we serve? He conquered death the greatest enemy for man and the devil swept west. Praise the LORD. Amen!
Happy sabbath 🙏🏾
I think it’s a misnomer that people think Jesus went to hell. He said to the one thief ‘Thou will be with me in paradise.’ It sounds like he went to Abraham’s bosom which is separate from hell.
Please Pastor pray for my family🙏🏻❤️

I need to ask for your sincere prayer for my 4year old daughter and I. We desperately need a house to call our own, I won't go into great detail on the circumstances as God knows what's going on. It's been a very tumultuous past few years and long story short, we are losing a lot. We haven't lost faith, but I'm terrified I will lose the ability to raise her the way she deserves to be raised as lack of money despite having a good job has unfortunately become a big issue. I know we aren't the only ones and there are many who are worse off, and we pray for them as well. We need the power of prayer from many God fearing people. Thank you all in advance and may God bless you 70 times more than He has blessed us.
@@difficultjourney3216 Forgive me if i took your comment as condescending, but We were married before we had our daughter. I didn't want to share the nitty gritty, but she was conceived by force by the mother, who had been cheating on me, she leg locked on me when i tried to pull my penis out of her before ejaculating. She knew i didn't want children yet, but she thought she was already pregnant by her affair partner (at that time i didn't know about) and wanted me to believe it was mine, unfortunately for her, she wasn't pregnant by him and the beautiful girl is mine. fast forward 3.5 years, i was working a lot as the only one with a job, and my wife developed a meth habit and began sleeping with multiple men while i was both at work, and while i was sleeping, exhausted from my job. I forgave her after finding out about the 4 different men all at once, because i couldn't imagine taking a parent away from a child. A year later, i learned she had continued to talk and meet with one of these men, and she managed to slowly steal over 5000 dollars from my account over time to pay for her habit. When i learned of the continued affair, i left her and because she couldn't control me and have her cake and eat it too, she went to the police, told them i threatened to kill her and her boyfriend, (not true) and managed to take my daughter from me for over 2 months. Spent another 5000+ dollars on lawyers fees, only to have her not show up in court at the last moment because she klnew i had a lot of evidence that she was a liar and everything got dropped. We don't have a stable home right now and all my savings are literally gone. All i asked for was prayer, you didn't have to be so mean spirited about it.
@@difficultjourney3216 Also, unbeknownst to me, she began to resent me for switching to the 7th day Sabbath. She was raised a Southern Baptist, and I was raised Non-Denominational. I lost 1 job, and found it hard to find another because of my newfound convictions, and she really held that against me. My now 4 year old daughter, absolutely adores me and she loves the Lord Jesus. She wails like a child in the fire when our week is over and she has to go back to her mother and the boyfriend for the week. She complains that mommy doesn't pray with her at night, and mommy won't let her give me a call throughout the week so i can pray with her. Just a word of advice. Try not to be so judgmental towards people, especially if all they're asking for is prayer, you don't know what they are going through, and it costs you nothing to pray.
Yes Daniel I will pray for you and your daughter...keep holding to Jesus and claim His Blood over you and your child everyday seek Him daily sweetie God bless you both💞🙏🙏🙏
@@difficultjourney3216 you are drifting away from being a true christian. You are too judgemental when you don't even understand what people are going through. Pray for the Holy spirit to guide you so that you can treat everyone the way you would want to be treated if you were in that position. The kind of christians today are just pharisees and hypocrites. God have mercy!
@@difficultjourney3216 nothing you said resonated with me because it was not applicable. It was judgmental, because you assumed XYZ without knowing the facts. There was no truth that you spoke that applies to our situation. Nobody said you drifted away from anything, unless there was a comment made that is no longer here. I'm sorry to hear you had a rough life, like I said in my original comment, q lot of people have it worse and I keep them in prayer as well. Have a great day and may God bless you.
I was blessed and that's very interesting why he said that so they will go back and read psalms

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
When Jesus asked “why hast thou forsaken me“ it not only fulfilled the prophecy, but it was the ultimate hypothetical question leading men, to comprehend why he was cut off from the Father. He took our sins upon his head in Gethsemane, and carried them to the cross to die for them. The three days three nights sign of Jonah begins in Gethsemane, and this is the sign to show that we are filled with his spirit.
Interesting topic! I'm Qurios to hear

He never lost his faith. I've always taken this as the holy spirit leaving him. Just as the spirit came and abided with him, the spirit left him before death.

*In one of the Prophecy Seminars...Doug shares with us his personal testimony. He mentions also how his own mother had a bit-part (background cast?) in the movie 'The Ten Commandments'.*
*Can you please tells us (or find out for us???) what small scene she is in and what color clothing she's wearing? We just love that movie and would love to know what small part she plays. We think that's pretty neat trivia! Especially considering her son became a Seventh Day Adventist Pastor! thank you.* (Again....be specific as possible! lol😂) thanks again!*

I was very confused at something that is said here, and I went to the transcript of the video to see if I heard right at minute 3:53 to 4:05, is Dough Batchelor saying Jesus suffered in the tomb after his death for the penalty of sin? Because I've never in my life heard that said by an sda pastor . Please correct me if I misheard, and if I did ... what did he say

"Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani" probably means that the Gospel originally was not written in Aramaic, or this remark was left for us by one of the interpreters-scribes (less possible).

Vinegar and wine have similar definitions in the French but the chemical composition is substantially different. The fermentation turns to acetic acid which our body makes some of naturally. - No alcohol in it.
What about EGWs statement of how he could not see beyond the cross?
I read the statement in it's context. It appears that some paragraphs later she describes Jesus enduring in faith. Thus it can be concluded that the paragraph where Jesus appears to loose hope is only trying to highlight the struggle that he had on the cross and not necessarily that he lost faith. And the statement deals with not seeing beyond the tomb not the cross.
