Imagine that. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Another Enicar survivor prepped for new adventures. Keep up the good work champ. Btw: I love how your restoration videos combine workshop reports and storytelling.

Glad I found your channel. Going through the vids as we speak. I'm liking the Enicar content too. They've gotten more attention in the last few years, but imho still a very underrated brand with a great history and watches.
You are right, the Enicar market has shot up a lot in the last few years. There will also be a 3rd edition of the Discovering Vintage Enicar book coming soon as well.
Wonderful restoration! Love the vibe you putoff while i watch your videos. Good luck on growing your channel.
Cheers!
Thank you very much! I do try to make the videos as engaging as possible for people 👍
Really enjoyed this video. Great story. Photography and commentary are excellent. Comments regarding processes are gems. As a result of your instruction I am getting close to completing my own project. Thank you Matt. Keep well.
Glad you enjoyed it Ross. I'm looking forward to hearing about your completed project watch 💪
Nice one Matt ... congrats with the growth of the channel you and your channel deserve its a great channel !!
Thanks man, super freshly appreciated
Just found your channel. I know nothing about watches but I sent my old festina chrono bike away for a service. It’s not a luxury one but I love it, especially compared to the new ones. Anyway I started watching watch videos and yours is the only one I subbed too. Keep going you do great work.
Paul
Welcome aboard! Thanks very much for your kind comment. All watches are meant to be enjoyed so great to hear you treated it to some spa treatment. Thanks for the sub 👍
Really great presentation Matt ! We know your watchmaking skills are excellent and your video editing skills are second to none. I particularly appreciate your explanations of the parts and process and both the disassembly and re-assembly of the time piece along with the commentary of the history of ownership. Thanks for all of it. Cheers 🍻
Wow, thanks! such a nice comment. Glad you appreciate the videos 🙌🙌
Enicar has beautiful watches! I have a non dive model I love.
Yes they really made some stunning models with great designs. They were ahead of their time for sure.
HB just keeps getting better! video Mat, love seeing the channel grow. Cheers! 🍻
Much appreciated Turbo 🙌🙌👍
Enjoyed it. Great story, keep up the good work!

Great video you got lots of competition out there but from what I've seen you're in the top five.
Wow, thanks! Top 5 is a big statement though. I do try to make the channel and videos as engaging as possible though 😀
Wow! What a video full of history and technic at the same time.
Happy to follow you 🪐

Quality in workmanship: you’ve got it !👍❤️👌Always interesting! 👌❤️👍, 10 K will come faster than you think!
Thanks Johnny, your comment is supppper appreciated 👍
Nicely done video. Great format!
Much appreciated Mike 👍
Nice vid. Friend of mine has an Enicar chrono with a Valjoux . The brand is under appreciated, I believe.
It’s just not as well know yet but definitely getting there. They have quite a few of their high end line with Valjoux 72 movements inside. I have some on the channel
The story of the watch is so cool
Always fresh when a watch has a great personal history. Thanks for watching 👍
@@HorologyBiology yeah every watch has a pretty unique story
Thats a cool watch
Thanks :) It really is
Awesome watch!
I have a 1974 Tudor Prince Oysterdate that was serviced last year. Unfortunately when it is taken off at night and set down it will more times than not stop. within 2 hours. A little tap and it starts back up but may stop again. I wear it all day and it runs and keeps time like it should. Maybe I need a different service center but it seems to me that something is not balanced.
Thanks for watching. It sounds maybe that the autoworks is not charging the watch much at all as once you set it down it runs out of charge quite quickly.
Nice job again your a boss 👍
haha thanks for that 💪💪💪
Well done Mat and what a back story ! They sold Rolex at base PX's at military discount. I was able to visit the PX at MacDill AFB when I was at Tampa Tech in the 1980's. You could do your weekly food shop and pick up a GMT or a Submariner as well.
Thanks mate. So I guess they are like duty free stores or something for military personnel
Good analogy. Rolex had the Commando that was initially only offered at PX's; you see receipts from PX's show up on Antiques Road show now and then.
Hi Mat how's it going sir! great video and it comes over just how much you love this brand i know you have a personnel collection I'm still working on my Certina and finally ordered the pushers for my AVIA chronograph (L 149) not done any watch making in weeks need to get back to it I have more time in the winter, anyway just saying hello and love and support your channel mate.
Andy.
Get back on it mate. At winter is coming as you say so you can hibernate back on to the watches.
I think I'll have a live stream strip down of a Certina later this month.
Don't tease just because I tease you about your give a way lol I never knew about certina but there badass once you get into watches it's a proper rabbit hole though aint it mate once i get them working i would love to know what you think of my efforts i really do like them i got 2 NOS certina Argonaught 220 case dial found hands and have the nos blue swead strap that would look shite if you wore it longer than a week and got the 25-66 movement that they came with it all fits together nice need a dial ring if I'm honest but that can be our secret but dont want to sell them like that AVIA crono what would you never sell if were sharing secrets lol
Andy @@HorologyBiology
Very nice and fresh video ! Thanks mate ! Where du you come from with this accent ? Cheers
Thanks for watching 👍 I'm originally from the UK but I live in NL for nearly 20 years
Ohhhhhhhhh wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thanks for this!!!!!!
Welcome 🤗
@@HorologyBiology it wasa while I did not watch a serious good oldy servicing video on this channel. I have a question: on Chrone 24 some Enicar is in good condition, usually is it good to have trust on these watches ? I usually buy and sell on CR24 but with such pieces a person should be SUPER careful.
@@Voivod74 You should always be careful on C24 or eBay. If they state it was recently serviced just ask for proof or a reference.
Lille...ah that be Rijssel in French Flanders.. In the Dutch speaking part of France :)
haha, the first time I visited Lille many many years ago I was so confused at the satnav sending me to Rijssel when I wanted to go to Lille 😅
Identical with mine from the flea market .🤗🤗Only the lume from the second hand is missing . I bought it some years ago for 250 € .But without strap .
What a bargain 🙌🏼 congrats
I bought a $100 dollar PX watch back in 1990 and I remember in about 2 months the watch eroded into a trashy mess. I don’t know where people were getting all these great deals at the PX it certainly wasn’t at FT Sill PXs. AAFES was out to do nothing but separate young soldiers from their low pay.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻 I didn’t know that
Do you lubricate the rotor bearings? If so, do you use hp1300, or something thinner like 9010?
The answer to this is 100% in this video 👍
Takk!
Thank you Francis 🙌🙌🙌
Hi enicar expert! I have a question about the Enicar 167D movement. Without the automatic bridge installed I can hand wind it, but with the automatic bridge installed I cant.. Is that supposed to happen?
Groetjes uit rotterdam😁
Hey DutchClawz
The AR167D can be hand wound with the auto works on. I'm suspecting that one of the reversing wheels on the autoworks has broken and causing it to jam hence locking when you try to wind it. They are really small pivots on those wheels so it can happen.
Cheers,
@@HorologyBiology Ah, shit. The pivots look okay but I have been struggling with getting it together okay. There is absolutely zero literature or pictures on the 167D automatic module on the internet😅
@@DutchClawz I have a 166 (it's the same as the 167) I'm building so you see the wheel order. here ua-cam.com/video/DqvsZALwNgA/v-deo.htmlsi=tzeWRPcshCFpevPO&t=1912
Hey HB. I was recently given my dad's Zodiac that he bought back in 1961 in Japan, I was told, while he was in the Navy. Would you be interested in servicing this watch? It is in really rough shape.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼 It would be best to email me about it with some pics as well. vintageenicar@gmail.com
ÓTIMO SERVIÇO EM UM RELÓGIO Q PARTICIPOU da GUERRA do VIETNAN 👍👍 🇧🇷
Thank you very much and thanks for watching 👍
:)
👍
I always thought the "Divette" was a womans watch. Is this incorrect??
It's a 36mm watch excluding the crowns from the 1960's definitely a mans watch
Replacing thing cost money, NOT COOL 😂😂😂😂 I keep saying you talk like a biker
lol you so have to let this go haha
So happy to see you work on a Supernice Enicar again, satisfying is the word! 🤗🤩🪐
Thank you bro
