Always enjoy your great adventures on the trails...sure loved all those ferns! Just such great scenery and campsites... Keep well and hope you are enjoying a great weekend! Bruce and Otis
Sweet start to a great trip, Dan. I really loved that fern growth section of trail. Really cool. Making the trip up as you go. Awesome. Looking forward to your next part. Have a great day.
Thanks! This trail has lots to see on it and changes all the time. But for all the good scenery comes with challenging terrain for sure. One of the toughest in PA.
I enjoy watching other backpackers taking life easy on the trails. The main interest for me is the scenery , campsites , and what that trail is like. A good video is a great reference item for future planning. Or just to see some different terrain so I have a tendency to skip past the selfies.
Hello Dan, nice adventure. That is a lot of mileage. I hope we can get together and do a very short 1 night overnighted this fall. You are right, the views make a hard section hike worth it. Take Care and Keep Exploring The Outdoors.
I agree Paul. I love my poles. They save me from rolling my ankle and spraining it or worse multiple times on all of my trips. They have also kept me from ending up on my butt or face. That is where I see the biggest be if it’s for me.
Awesome video Dan! Can't wait to see the rest in the series! This does seem to be a decently long trip! What kind of weather did you deal with? Any crazy humidity on top of the rain? Any new gear you were excited to try out?
Thanks! No new gear for this one. Starting the first night it rained off and on the rest of the trip with the last day being filled with thunder storms. The humid was the worst in the morning. Then it got better but then the rain came back. Lol. Never ending cycle.
Always enjoy a video of the LT. I'm hoping to finally do the whole thing this fall. Great part1 to the trip. That campsite at the end reminds me of the one at the bottom of the Alpine View area they are set up similar with those benches around the firepit.
Looks like a great one Dan. Now let’s go on one. Tomorrow!
Add to the bucket list! Nice!
definitely worth it. Great but challenging.

Thanks Jim!
Cool hike! Looking forward to the rest! ATB Kaat
Thanks Kaatje!
Nice video. I'll have to add the Loyalsock Trail to my to do list. Looking forward to the next episode!
Thanks! It’s a great trail but is pretty tough. Most of it is ups and downs. Typical PA trail.
Nice. Can’t wait to see ep 2.
Thanks mark!

The climbs on this trail were definitely worth it! A trip with you would be awesome!
Just got some hiking poles, I am amazed on how well they help you hike, keep at it.

+Dragon Roams Thanks! I love this trail and most likely will do it a third, fourth, …. time. Very challenging but worth it.
I did it with my wife ! We did it in 5days 12miles per day
Awesome. The Loyalsock is a great trail!
Nice video. New sub
Thank you and welcome!
I hate you don’t show the camping part, the tents the food etc.
I started to last year. I go over what I took and the food as well as more shots of camping.
