- Hey guys! A couple people have requested this video, so here it is! I tried to give as much info/detail as possible and keep it real about the application process :)
Btw, these are my just my personal opinions and don't reflect the umkc med program. Also, take my advice with a grain of salt as each applicant is different and therefore has a different story.
Anyways, I hope you guys like the video! I just wanted to share my application to help you guys get an idea about what I did to get in because I know that there are not a lot of videos posted about the application process for umkc's 6 year ba/md program.
also pls pls pls lmk what kind of content you guys would like to see in the comments :)

Excellent video. Anyone who is interested in applying to a combined BA/MD program needs to watch this!
Wow! I’m so glad that this was recommended to me. I’m also a competitive rower in Austin and can really relate to the hours spent on rowing. I’ve been interested in the BS/MD program for the past few months and this video was very comprehensive and helpful! Thank you again for sharing your application
Loved how thoughtful and genuine this was!! Keep it up XX

Thank you for sharing your info Michelle. My son is interested going to a BS/MD or BA/MD program. We are also from TX, San Antonio ko TX. Is it really tough to get in? Do you have tips regarding interview? Please advise and thank you.
It’s not 3.0 ? I called up there and they said I had to have a 3.0 to get admitted into the program
What would you recommed for an international student planning to take a BS/MD program at UMKC??
Thank you for sharing!

Ty for sharing.
Is there any advice for the interview
Thank you for sharing; very informative and enlightening. My son is a junior and only wants to apply to bsmd programs. Like you he is certain he will be pursuing medicine. I’m just wondering if there is any way to find out which residences students from your school matches to. Your input would be appreciated.
thank you! here is a link for the match list for this year (2022). med.umkc.edu/matchday/ if you want to look at previous years you can search "umkc match list _____" for whatever year you want and it should pop up! hope that helps :)
When do results for interviews come out?
Hello! I have a few questions. May I ask what your courseload was for all 4 years of HS? And were you able to get a 35 on the ACT on your first try?
i took the act twice, but I ended up getting the same score both times anyway lol. here's my course high school course load:

@@michellewu5208 You killed it in highschool wow.
@@XTen1000DaysX haha high school was definitely a grind
@@michellewu5208 I did the minimum in hs, it was crazy to see your schedule you posted. I'll be going to umkc next spring :-) finance major. I haven't gone to college ever, and I'm 28. Finishing up community college this year.
I'm from the kc area. This program is by far my top choice and really the only place I want to go. I of course have back ups but I don't really want any of them, at least not nearly as much. I finished my application already. Not sure if this video makes me more or less confident about it
dw each applicant is different and umkc accepts based on a wholistic story. also i have a couple friends that are transfers so there is always a second chance. good luck!
@@michellewu5208 hey michelle what do u mean by transfers? Like transfers into the program? i never knew that was possible
Did you get in? Hope you did!
did you get in?
Does umck accept international students if so what are the requirements
Usually they dont. u have to be a citizen of the US
I'm a freshman and my goal is to get accepted into UMKC! How can I be more open to opportunities around me in Texas?
honestly google is your best friend. i highly recommend STARS though when you become a junior, so that's something to look into
Sorry. Residencies …he is Interested in surgical.
