What a beautiful spirit and a blessing for the people in that building.
I know a custodian that has received many thank you notes from students. He even has done scholarships for students in the past and talked with them and has given support to many people. I wish that someone would recognize him and show him how much he’s appreciated. ❤

I was just talking about this kind of thing with my retired teacher friend. She retired at the end of last year from teaching 2nd grade. I was an Admin Secretary at the middle school. I became disabled 11 years ago. There is nothing I miss more in my life than those kiddos. I loved each and every one of them. I would do the same as Captain Ray. I would buy things, food, dance tickets, clothes, yearbooks, prom dresses for graduation, you name it, and I've bought it. We, my friend and I, were trul 7:30 y there for the kids. It's not the paycheck like so many others. We both are sad and really miss our kids.
Captain Ray is one of those people. He's there for the kids! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The impact he has made and is still making on these young people is invaluable.Hearing what those young people had to say about him and what he means to them, was so touching. God bless this man!

safe when they need someone to confide in.
They may be the only one who a student feels cares what is
going on in their lives and need a sounding board.

Mr Ray looked like he would of taken the cost of the trip and called it a day. Awesome man
It means the world seeing custodians be recognized for more than what they do every day. There’s so many custodians across the world that even working in County properties, school districts, private properties, and nursing homes, who never get recognized for the great work they do.
After 35 yrs as a head custodian people do not understand it was the best job anyone could have. I miss spending two hours everyday in a cafeteria full of kids. In all those years one thing never change. The children.
