►A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17-19, then went part-time ever since, holding 'day-careers' like chef (red seal papers), spiritual health care while raising a family. As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, playing International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I mostly abandoned the prog genre in the '90s but have returned to it now with vigour 30 years later. My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i explored grunge, pop rock and alternative, alt-folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electronic as well. Recently i found shoegaze and lo-fi as well. I have a home studio that is ramping up for lots more music so stay tuned.

Agreed. Really think Thom and Jonny have been doing some of their best work these past few years, whether it be solo, collaborations, scores, and The Smile.

Read the room is my favourite of their songs I think. Saw them live in the 3arena a few days ago and they opened with this. Awe
Haha, I was there too. Did you think the mixing was a bit off at times? The desk was off the side of the stage, is that normal? Like, when Thin thing was playing, I couldn't hear Jonny's guitar bit very well.
I liked the second one better than the first.

I gotta include In Rainbows but yeah man. It’s fucking exceptional. Teleharmonic is just…. Everything I’ve been wishing Thom would lean into, lyrically, melodically, it’s like they made this album designed to my specifications.
Don't get me started which is a new song the smile have played live sounds like it has some good potential. So does just eyes and mouth.

Thanks so much for this, Dean. The guitar in "Read the room" for some reason, reminds me of Beethoven, classical music, in the opening riff. Very cool, along with the time signature, well spotted.
Read The Room could be a Yes or King Crimson tune.
kinda reminds me in a way of the later Talk Talk records, not sonically necessarily, but the feel of it
It is very difficult to judge Thom yorke’s work on a 1st listen. It is all so original and different. It usually takes about 3-5 listens to really here and above all appreciate Thom’s true genius. And also start hear Jonny’s and all the other musicians incredible contributions….I’ve been a Radiohead and Thom fan since 1995….Easily the greatest band around today and possibly ever, and Thom….he is the Einstein of music 🎼
They are remarkable and inventive...a true modern wonder, doing amazing music.
Almost a lost am station out of a mythical country somewhere between the Congo and Mali, North Africa just in from the smell of the ocean and the hot sand west coast. It just has a lofi veneer with a hint of of rush on the outro of Read THe Room.
I have no idea who this drummer is but this album has the tightest most creative drumming I've ever heard in my life

I saw Sons of Kemet live - absolute fantastic band! Love them!
Check out all of Shabaka Hutchings, Tom Skinners and Theon Cross' solo projects aswell. Including Owiny Sigoma band, Skinner was a part of them and they were supporting Atoms for Peace on tour back then.
Amazing band, going to see them 20th march Glasgow, can't wait 👍
