Crop plots only hold the seeds that specificaly say crop plot. basically all the 'function' plants, turrets, healing, trap pods

This was helpful but I am confused because I had pipes 2 blocks above the actual crops and everything I planted still disappeared

You'll also find it'll only go 7x7 west and south. north and east go 6.
