I think she purposely is coming off as a newbie for people who don't know much about wine. Joe and Mario knew how they wanted this to be presented or it wouldn't have gotten the green light. They couldn't get Paula Abdul, so they picked this gal....

The chick’s guest was professional, but her 16 year old antics and facial expressions was so obnoxious that it was difficult getting through the entire episode. I never realized that there were wine “groupies”. It’s a shame this woman couldn’t interact as a mature adult.

How does this chick have this job? She’s out there tasting great wines having clearly done no wine study beforehand. She didn’t even know that tannins soften over time, that’s day 1 stuff right there. Somehow anyone can do anything these days as long as they talk a lot and smile. 👎🏼

This “chick” didn't disclose what her relevant experience is. She seemed to be there to allow the male chef to shine and asked good questions. There is room for everyone, even a negative jerk on the internet.

Jeez what a waste of good wine to open and pour for this unprofessional, obnoxious guest.

If want to spend an excessive amount of money on a bottle of wine and always feel disappointed - always choose Barolo or Barbaresco

Yeah it sucks but there is almost 0 chance that a Barolo is drinkable from a later vintage than 2006 right now. Opening any later vintage is basically an abortion imo and restaurants are constantly serving 2014/15 for the price of what it would be worth if it was ready. Modern marketing has all but ruined a beautiful artisanal product.
