One tips when mixing directly on the airbrush cup, pour in the thinner first then the paint… so no risk to clog your nozzle with un-thinned paint, just my 2 cents 😉
HOLY SHIT FRANKMUSIK! Bro I had no idea you were into 40k this is amazing. I'm giga-late to the party but this showed up in my recommends and I am just blown away!
Yeah I keep forgetting to turn off the auto setting in my camera for the end shots. The auto setting is keeping things too bright rather than the lighting being too bright. But I feel you. Thanks!
lol paying people to paint your army for you >.< like i get it, you want an army that looks nice and not everybody has the time or skill to make it happen. but to me i feel like playing the game is actually secondary to painting your own minis in warhammer :p take a little bit of time, start small and build confidence. it might take you forever and the first few might not look great but there's just something special about having an army you painted yourself
My client used to work for GW and had painted many of his own armies. He is now a Doctor and does not have time. I agree with your sentiment, it just doesn’t apply here. Thanks for watching.
I don't know if this is a problem with a low-humidity area like Arizona, but I've found that using PVA glue for basing means the entire basing material will separate and fold up off the base! I've been able to superglue it back down, but like you I now only use superglue for my basing material.
The organisation boxes are a great idea. I'm thinking that's part of what's "upset me" over the years and why I needed a break. When I get back into it I think I'm going to take a leaf out of your book, organisation being key as I go. Sorry for all the comments today, been binge watching haha.
Binge watching is the future! Honestly the big game changers for me were just making each step smaller instead of overwhelming myself with a fully built model. The idea of painting a fully built model fills me with dread. Especially complex stuff like Death Guard etc. I know the pros can do it just fine. But as a beginner I prefer the sub assembly method for now.
Hey MoMo thanks for the question! I would use a scalpel for a nice accurate puncture. Pierce the plastic then twist the blade a few times. The use a “hand drill”. Easily picked up on eBay / amazon
Thanks for the question JC. This track is called GTMH and this is the instrumental version. You can find it on the “Carissimi” album which is my second to last album released in 2021. New video is being recorded at the moment. Been a hectic 2023 so far. But getting back on schedule at last. Next video is a bigger version of a BFG model. It’s taking ages to paint. But hopefully worth the wait. Cheers for sticking around!
would love to know the track that plays during the building and painting process as well! it's very chill and I'd love to have it for my own building/painting playlist :)
Funnily enough it’s the same song but really really slowed down and had a ton of reverb added. I only do this for backing tracks to these videos and as of yet have not rehearsed then mmm separately sorry DJ.
I’m new to warhammer looking for a faction to start with, why don’t ppl generally like tau? I hear there’s all kinds of hate for that faction what’s the problem? Ppl don’t like being gunned down from a distance? Lol
Hey! So the problem is generally speaking rules. The same can be said for factions such as Dark Eldar and Eldar too. I would collect and paint what excites you and keeps you invested in the hobby. I don’t play the game personally so other peoples gripes are not much concern. Good luck!!
I’ve been collecting since 1994. I appreciate the models and the lore. I actually collect a game called “Epic 40k” that is discontinued but has a thriving community. It’s great for beginners as the scale is 6mm instead of 28mm. So less commitment initially. Check out my other videos if you’re interested!
People also kinda don't like how Tau began as the "good guys" of the 40k universe. This has diminished with the addition of vaguely Orwellian elements, but some people still don't care for the collectivistic themes. Nevertheless, they're still one of my favourite factions in 40k.
Yep! You don’t need to paint to a very high standard as it becomes very expensive due to time spent. That’s how you make money. Also a client asks how in depth they want you to go. Do it as good as you can while still making the most of your time. That’s how any good business survives. Go make some money! But if your comment was just to be snarky then at least you know you can still go and make some money!
@@BUNKER6 Oh! One thing< iw oudl recommend picking up some white/blue tac and just covering aroudn the arm nubs and pin, makes it so much faster no scraping haha.

Totally. I sometimes do that first but in this case forgot to. Great advice none the less! Thank you!
@@BUNKER6 If you add 2-3 drops of drying retarder in first and also some into the colour mix it will even take longer to clog the nozzle.
Great idea! I always wondered what to use that stuff for 😂
I love painting in sub assemblies. I hate all the preparatory work though, and then putting it all together is super stressful
It’s definitely a pros vs cons dilemma. Some things about complete builds make things easier and then sub assembly can make other aspects easier.
HOLY SHIT FRANKMUSIK! Bro I had no idea you were into 40k this is amazing. I'm giga-late to the party but this showed up in my recommends and I am just blown away!
Ha ha that’s me when I’m not doing this fun hobby stuff. Thanks for watching Richard!
I also use the hobby/organiser box method when assembling minis, it's solid 🤘
Hell yeah. Thank you for watching brother
This is the method I've been needing to see someone do. Well done! Numbering the kits you want and bin them to do them all at once - brilliant!
Factory line baby!
Great job. The models at the end are over lit and it’s drowning out your beautiful work.

Amen!! PVA is good for scenery stuff once it’s sealed for sure. Super glue is super for a reason ha ha
Fuck, I thought Tau miniature has socket and plug like Japanese figure 😮😮😮
With Warhammer it’s 99% glue assembly
These 9points models are getting more love than my 200 dreadnoughts
Appreciated 😊

Where did you get that pilot hole tool? I've been looking all over for something like that but can't find it. Thanks!

Thanks for posting this guide. I learned quite a bit from your process.
Thanks Paul!
Sick beats nerd me

How did you keep the pin hole in the base open?
I just made sure not to put any glue too close to the hole :)

Just seemed like a lot of pandering to the Asian market. Ironic that they hit them with the fish communists. A little on the nose.
I thought T was for Tau until I realized that Humans are food for the aliens underground! Now I realize that T is for 'Torture'!!!!! Heeeeay YEAAAAH!
Watching this video, I have realised I am already at commision level of painting apparently 😂

im trying to find your pilot hole tool
You need to search for “pin vise hand drill”. Thanks for watching
"A lot of pros mix their paint outside of the airbrush"
...
oops
Did I say that?! I don’t obviously because I’m not a pro lol.
@@BUNKER6 I don't either I didn't even know that was a pro thing until you mentioned it
A guy called Angel Giraldez does it. It makes sense I guess if you’re mixing colors a bunch. You have a bit more control it seems.
Painting Epic or we riot
Sorry I know I shouldn’t have made this video 😭

Appreciated. You have a comfy new year!
