I’m not into fitness at all but recently started cooking , Im not used to eating many veggies either. Seeing your videos and the way you plate food is very cool. Such a great vibe and always teaching us new things .
I am about 2 weeks into my vegan journey. I’m a CrossFitter/weightlifter and play basketball and soccer regularly. I have been doing a lot of learning and unlearning and your channel has been integral to my success! Looking forward to a life time of whole food plant based goodness!
This is cool to hear. Sounds like you are fueling your training the smart way. It is wild how much learning and unlearning comes with the switch, but it is so worth it. Wishing you all the gains and energy on your plant-based journey! 💪🌱
I have never commented on your channel before, but I wanted you to know that it’s one of my favorites. I am likely old enough to be your grandfather, and I love your content because we older guys need more protein. I am a nutritionist as well but I’m always looking for inspiration from others.
Hahah I thought that part was funny! Glad you liked it too. My bike rides are half looking for cats, half thinking of what I am going to eat when I get home.
Your videos are getting better and better. The way you put it together, the different angles of footage, I know it must be a bit of work. It’s great to watch. ❤
I've been following you for almost 7 years now, you are such an inspiration Derek! Your videos were one of the reasons why I decided to stop eating meat, all your meals just look amazing, your content is just lit! Greetings from Barcelona 🎉
I love your positivity and your style (and your love for the Rav 4, trust me I get it 😁) thanks for being a refuge for positive thinking, nutrition, and health motivation. I think one of the most righteous things we can do is take care of our bodies and be strong and health. Much love from CO!
I like seeing the macros for each meal, have you thought of adding Fibre as one of them? I feel that we don't talk about it enough. Thanks for the video :)
@@Simnettnutritionmate, did u get the questions confused with the compliments?? Your reply sounds like it was written for some Viking compliment, when this guys question was about fibre?!🙃😖🤪

We always thinking and drooling about Simnett smoothies, bowls, tofu, sauces, wow. Love watching your videos even if we can't cook like that right now. And love the motivation and energy you give. I 100% bought those frozen veggies at Costco because of you and they are 🔥🔥 Thank you so much for your videos. I’ve been vegan for 11 years but have struggled so much because I’d been terrified of healthy fats and anything about very minimal protein due to trying to follow a lot of high carb low fat gurus, but it kept me overweight, exhausted and I always ended up binging out and feeling awful. I’ve finally started to incorporate some healthy fats, protein, and healthier portions, and now am able to workout without feeling completely depleated. Your videos have helped so much!
Thank you for letting us know that you make extra for the beautiful Crystal! I often wonder about that. Although I really shouldn’t since you are such a thoughtful and generous person. Thanks for sharing your meal ideas. I am always inspired! 🌱 🥣 🥦🍚

Hey Derek! Got me wanting to try Sky free Tofu. Didn’t know it was such a thing. I’ve been eating more tofu lately with stir-fry vegetables. Even though I’m not vegan. You are the inspiration that got me started eating more plant based foods
Great video and great transformation over the years as well! I always enjoy your videos and food as my husband and I enjoy many similar foods. Eating dates pre workout is something we used to do a lot, and haven't in a while. Decided to pull out my recent favorite dates before our training today. I credited you for the inspiration on my video and will link to this one as well. (It won't change your rankings much, my channel is pretty small still!) I just like to give credit where credit is due, and point to channels I really enjoy. ~Tracy

You are awesome. The message you send accompanied by the science behind good health is so important. I don't eat healthy, but i do eat a meat free diet, going on 8 years now. To me it's about animal welfare, though i still need to fully cut out dairy. I can relate to people feeling intimidated about knowing how to cook without products they've always eaten, but somehow i still resent TF out of ppl who continue to eat animals, while claiming to 'love animals'. Have to face my own hypocrisy in still dabbling in dairy before getting too high and mighty but i guess from my view, it would just be nice if more people at least had any kind of conscience or consideration for the harm caused to bring them the burger they mindlessly eat. Channels like this give me hope that decent people will start to think about acting like decent people.
Mate, I would need a tonne of Vedge Nutrition pre-workout with its concentration enhancing properties to even CONSIDER doing incline bench sit-ups throwing and catching a medicine ball.. You mad-man!! Loved the bike chat- I have a 1992 Kona Fire Mountain! I think a new stem on yours to fix up the handlebar angle would make it perfection! Curious- do you wash your kale - is it pre-washed when they're stood in the water vase thingyo? Amazing meals as always, super keen to try them out :D
That was pretty cool. I would definitely have to cut my portions down as im on a very strict calorie diet regimen right now. These all look yummy to add to my recipe box, especially that smoothie bowl.
One thing about creatine that’s not clear cut is whether it undermines endogenous creatine production (and if so, whether it recovers). I only saw one study on rats and their endogenous creatine levels fell HARD following supplementation. If this is the case with humans too, it’s a potential issue for vegans since we basically rely on our endogenous creatine as we don’t really get it from food. In which case once you start supplementing, you’d have to never stop. It’s an extrapolation from rats, though, so it can be absolutely not the case for humans
Youre just up above me, near Victoria, right? Im in Seattle and yeah, theres definitely been a nice cold spell for the past week+, but its definitely led to some beautiful days.

What’s your view and opinion about processed vegan protein powders that contain certain amount of gums and stevia or surcalose? Just wondering since I’m struggling to find one that doesn’t contain these. Apart from that, amazing video again!
