Loved the analysis man! I've been going back and forth with whether the middle part of the forehead is a closed eye or not so it's nice that someone else thinks it could be. I also want to mention that the cupping of hands between the figures on the mural is exactly the same as the twinning dragons featured on the door, which I feel like is some huge symbolism. Especially since the one used in the logo is different, instead depicting the ouroboros.
The third eye has eyelashes at the bottom, so I doubt it's some sort of jewel or crown, and compared to the closed lotus flowers it fits thematically like I mentioned in the video (and design-wise that being would look way cooler and Divine with a third eye as well) And the hands do seem like that, the same with the symbol just above it. Man, this game will be cool. Finally the Zonai are here! (And hopefully they are indeed the Interlopers, they definitely seem to be pointed in that direction)

Found this channel and video thru NBC's latest video. He was right about how this is the most complete analysis out there, or at least that I've seen. I wanted to add the 2 mysterious towers found in Hyrule (the one which replaced a windmill and another further in the distance) look like the 2 on the sides of the mural depicting the godlike character. Another is the similar design of the the bird glider and the shapes between the lightning shapes from the shrine quest. The only thing I would kindly ask for in the future is a "loud noise" warning at the beginning of the reaction where you screamed like a madman, lol. Great vid!
PS: I also heavily believe there are more connections to TP in this game, but I see a lot from SS as well... which makes me think about more than 2 time periods and/or realms playing a role here.
There is actually another zelda Analysis video i watched yesterday (i have a lot of fun watching TOTK theory/analysis videos, so i try watching as much as i can) that i recommend watching if you still want to find some detailed analysis! the video was 48 minutes long, about, and by the end of it i felt as if there was nothing left to watch, because it felt so complete! Of course, videos like this filled me in on even more info in which i feel is vital to the game. i believe the channel is GameXplain. i recommend checking it out! (but yes, it's insane how ZL covered so much in just 20 minutes. that's incredible!)
For the double Ouroboros keep in mind one off them in the Zelda title is bent backwards unlike the one you showed for the example where both "snakes" are just mirrored but "biting" the other's tail. Their mouths are close too
Theory time. 6:38 The figure on the right is Zelda and the figure on the left is the Twilight Princess (Midna). The spoiler in the title that Aonuma was talking about is the word "tears". Midna's tears broke the mirror of Twilight. In this game Midna's power is needed to help Link and Zelda take down Ganon.
Soooo… I’ve been going through the old Vortexxy videos and I’m starting to get a feeling that the Shadow Temple, Arbiters Grounds, Hyrule civil war, Royal Family betrayal of the Sheikah , and the lens of truth, are all clues. I’m also starting to think the figure we see is Rauru (Kaepora Gaebora) or SS Zelda’s father (Gaepora). The owl connection is too big for me. HAS to be the sage of light and if the Tears of the Kingdom are indeed tears of light… 🤯

At 8:17 we also see lamp type pedestals w the same closed Lotus shown on the Green golem shown earlier I'm also interested to see more people including the fact this sequel wasn't planned in their theories. Sure, the lore can still exist and be alluded to, but it might change the interpretation a little bit

I've wondered why Zelda and Gannondorf had clans supporting them, but never Link. I really hope the Zonai are connected to Farore and the Triforce of Courage.
I am glad I watched until the end. I never noticed the whirlwind over Rito village until now. If something major takes place there, then maybe it also signifies that Rito is the central location of the new (expanded) map. What if the map goes beyond the North and Western border enough to make Rito the center of the world map? As much as I want new territory to explore, I doubt my theory holds any water. Anyway, good video. Enjoyed it.
I share your excitement, Zelda Lore. I know you ZeldaTubers have been starved by Nintendo for good Zelda content but they finally gave you guys something to sink your teeth into. All the frustration will be forgotten as the game is revealed to you. I think we're gonna touch on the mystery of the Lanayru/Gerudo Desert & what caused the descendants of Groose, the Gerudo, to split with the Hylians. All of whom once belonged to the people named the Skyloftians. Everything points to the Interloper War that led to the banishment that created the Twili. There's a link between the Gerudo, the Sheikah, & the Twili that has not been explained. And I believe the Zonai (as well as the Zuna) are connected to the Interlopers. There's a REASON why Majora's Mask reminds you of the Fused Shadow. There's a REASON why the Sheikah Eye is on the back of the Fused Shadow. There's a REASON why the Sheikah splitting allegiances is a secret cause of much of the misery in Hyrule. There's a REASON why the Twili remind you simultaneously of the Gerudo AND the Sheikah. There's a REASON why Ganondorf & Twinrova knew so much about accessing the Sacred Realm kept secret by the Royals. There's a REASON why Veran & Onox share motifs with the Twili & the Gerudo's Iron Knuckles. Something happened before the Kingdom of Hyrule was established or happened BECAUSE the Kingdom of Hyrule was established. It has something to do with the Triforce & whether it was for ALL Mortals or a Select Number of Mortals. ALSO I think we'll get insights on both the Wind Tribe AND the Sky People AKA the Oocca. They are ALSO connected to the pre-history and/or post-history of the Interloper War. That eye on the back TotK's Link shield is VAATI's Eye not the Sheikah Eye. And we may find out if the Vaati's Eye & the Sheikah Eye share connection. Tears of the Kingdom will be a Lore Bomb, that much I can tell you right now. So you'll be happy, Zelda Lore.

I think I know what is happening for the Rito and Gorons, Ritos are being submerged into a big hurricanes and Gorons are infested with heated malice, making the thermal source poisoned, what we can imagine for Zoras and Gerudos is same scenario, as malice lightning or regular storming on Gerudos desert, with a lot of sand storm of course, for Zoras it can be ice related, all of the Zoras domain is totally iced, it can be the cause of the mountain near the domain, or a big cloud of malice on top that freeze the Zoras domain to death, or maybe it's not ice related but as it is for thermal source for the gorons, poisoned constant rain that keep the Zoras out of the water because all of the water is cursed by malice
The malice lightning for the Gerudo is GENIUS! And Zora's Domain being frozen makes total sense, as well as malice water! The Zora need water to survive.
The Zonai are the Twili! I always said it. There are too many similarities and connections, this can't be a coincidence. I am 100% sure that there is a strong connection between the two tribes. The thing difficult to discover is what is this connection. How they are connected. Hopefully Tears of the Kingdom will explain this to us. Also it would be a joy for me if the twilight realm returned in Tears of the Kingdom. I always loved the twilight realm, and Twilight Princess is my favourite videogame of all time!!! Just to not keeping it for myself. It could be posible that we will be dealing with "Song of Storm Paradox" with the new Link arm, in a sense that maybe and just maybe we will not know its origin.
this probably won't happen, but just for fun- imagine if they brought back the Mogma! i mean- if they bring out caves and such, though i feel like there is about a 1% chance they'd bring the Mogma race back. but still, fun to think about the possibilities!
This is the most in depth review of the trailer I've seen! Great job! I might have noticed something: the symbol right in the middle of the platform the being stand on, on those Zonai monumental inscriptions, looks like the shape you can discern in the sky robot chest with the lotus flowers on its shoulders. It looks like a frog head to me. Or maybe the Bluepee's mask. Just my two cents!
So after going back to some of your older vids , I have an interesting idea and a different theory. Maybe the deity depicted in the mural is actually Toan the diety you suspected is the deity above all, creator of "Force. As you pointed out previously Toan is associated with the idea of purification, which seems to be a central theme of this game. To also bolster this theory in the delay video footage, we see link at a alter with an orb of pure "Force" or light. And one more thing the spirit that you think is the avatar or representative of Toan in twilight princess has has horns with 3 ridges perhaps similar to the character in the mural. What do you think about this.

I like your theory about the three Shiekah tribes a lot and I hope it ends up being true, but I see a big contradiction with it; all pure blooded Shiekahas are albinos and the Luereleians who are very heavily impled to be descendants from the Zonai are Samoan looking brunettes.

It’s just I LOVE Zelda, I’ve played since the first game, my only tattoo is a Zelda tattoo. I am about as big a fan as you could get. But I would never scream like that at a trailer haha. It’s maybe a cultural thing, like seeing Americans going wild during movies in the cinema but that never happens where I’m from.

I never even considered the fact that the Zonai could be another skeikah offshoot. that's so genius. There's definitely something big story wise that is being hidden from us I think with all the Twili and Skyward Sword connections, and I think the game is gonna have some great timeline implications. Why have Zonai architecture suddenly replaced Sheikah ones? Where are the Divine Beasts? When did Death Mountain become infested with malice? Why did the Zonai stone carvings depict these seemingly "new" moblins and bokoblins? So many questions. It might be farfetched but I still feel like there's some time shenanigans going on and I still feel like there's an intentional distinction between Link in the champion tunic and Link in the green garb with long hair, especially if we start out as Link with the champion tunic. It might just be a time skip thing, but imagine if we end up going back to the time where the Zonai were actually roaming Hyrule and its skies, it would make sense why their stuff is all around now in lieu of the Sheikah, and why we're potentially seeing older redesigned creatures. Perhaps the things we're seeing replacing the Sheikah tech aren't "new", but "old" things that were there long before. Probably wrong, but just my own imaginative ramblings!

Ok, I had to take a DEEP breath before typing this, because I don't know if you'll ever reply to this or consider this to be a legitimate theory, but I'll post it anyway. Before I do though, I have to say that I'm a HUGE Zelda fan, and it's very dear and near to my heart, and ever since I've been learning more about the Zonai recently, the Zonai are starting to remind me more and more of the Chozo tribe from Metroid {more specifically Metroid Prime}. As a matter of fact, Zelda and Metroid share something interestingly similar with each other, both of their two core tribes are as follows, The Legend of Zelda - Zonai and Sheikah tribe, Metroid - Chozo and Mawkin tribe, and not only that, but both of these two tribes have a truly significant presence AND impact on the main character/protagonist of the entire video game franchise, Samus Aran - Metroid, and Link - The Legend of Zelda. Due to Samus having both Chozo and Mawkin DNA, she's able to utilize and wield the highly advanced technology, agility, and superhuman feats of the Chozo, Plus, her iconic power suit that's permanently fused with her body was designed by the Chozo themselves, and she also has physical combat prowess, reflexes, AND strength just like the Mawkin. Link on the other hand utilizes and wields the highly advanced alien {more on the alien technology later} technology of the Zonai, and he also utilizes and wields the ancient yet highly sophisticated and mystical technology of the Sheikah. Oh, and something else, both Samus and Link are able to harness unimaginably powerful abilities with their arms, Samus went through a truly extremely aggressive metamorphosis and transformed into a full blown Human Metroid due to her having Metroid DNA from a Metroid Vaccine in order to overcome the X parasite that had infected her {of which she can now absorb effortlessly}. In the first reveal trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, {which was initially known as " Breath of the Wild 2 "} Link's right arm was shown being fused with some green ethereal energy {presumably Zonai related} and now his arm looks superhuman, his fingernails are now basically claws {JUST LIKE SAMUS'S claws on her fingers when she becomes a Human Metroid}, and he can now manipulate and control time itself AND objects by just a flick of his right hand, and he can also travel straight through solid objects with ease, and who knows what other powerful abilities he can now wield? What's my point? Well, there seems to be a lot of dissimilarly similar parallels between the Zelda and Metroid universe. In other words, a ironic oxymoronic paradox, two completely different universes with dissimilarities that contain " mirrored " similarities but aren't supposed to, or simply put, two juxtaposed universes with seemingly cryptic synonymous connections that aren't supposed to exist simultaneously, but yet they are. It's profusely difficult to try to explain, but that's the best way I can sum all of that up. Now onto the " alien " technology aspect of Zelda that I mentioned earlier, this will be brief compared to my previous extensive soliloquy about Zelda and Metroid since I don't have sufficient knowledge on this nearly uncharted territory of Zelda lore. Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, apparently in the concept art for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there was plans to include " alien " phenomena in Breath of the Wild but that idea was eventually scrapped. Interestingly enough, this isn't the only time that " alien " phenomena has been alluded to or merely mentioned in The Legend of Zelda franchise, in fact, alien beings had outright APPEARED in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask {I've never played Majora's Mask myself, I've just watched gameplay of it from others}, and Link had to shoot them with a bow and arrow, or else they would abduct the cows and Romani {this is of course obvious if you've played the game, I just included that for good measure👍} and she'd wake up the next morning sitting down in complete oblivion and confusion. Anyhow, I'm probably the ONLY person that's ever thought about this, but when you factor in all of that, would it really be far fetched to consider the possibility that the Zonai tribe could in fact be an alien race? And could the Zonai themselves be somehow related to the Chozo? I say this because in Metroid Prime, the Chozo are nowhere to be found, but you see an abundance of remnants and motifs that are directly related to the Chozo, just like how the Zonai are nowhere to be found in the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild but their existence thereof past tense is clearly present in many areas of Hyrule. Could they truly be related? Who knows? At any rate, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is shaping up to be THE game of the century, I just thought I'd provide some interesting and in depth insight into the ever-so elusive and mysterious Zonai, and the virtually -improbable- nah impossible connections between them and the Chozo. If you managed to read THIS far into this analysis that I humbly attempted, then you a real one dawg😎. God Bless and GodSpeed🙏.
Regarding the green spirals we see on the surface. While its possible they work as portals to the sky, I think they will have the same function as shrines; they will be openings to underground cave systems. I believe the shot we've seen of Link using the falmethrowing shield takes place in one of these caves.
I already know the exact reason for the tornado that engulfed rito village. Revali finally snapped after being called Ravioli one too many times xDD behold, the true magnitude of Revalis gale!
What if that clip of link climbing the tree root was either part of the lost woods or something similar to the trial of the sword. What I’m going off of is that the environment is hazy and has that bluish tint with particles in the air, like the lost woods without the fog. The other thing is that the clip looks almost as if it was taken in a room with outdoor elements on the inside like the trials. The biggest part I want to point out though is the new thing on links hip is not present in it. The capsule thing is likely not connected to the tears shown around what I think is hylia in the carving because there are 8 slots and 7 tears, therefore showing it might instead be energy capsules for links new arm’s abilities. His capsules not being present there could mean 1 of 2 things and that is either he just obtains it later, or it was taken away before he entered the area, similar to how champions abilities cannot be used in shrines or the trial of the sword. Another detail I noticed while I was typing this was that link is climbing up the side instead of using his arm to clip through or his reverse stasis ability which would both be much mor efficient. Sooooooo…. Yea what do u think about it?

The Zonai worship dragons, whom in their culture represent courage.
Dragons represent courage, owls represent wisdom and boars represent power.

They are ALSO connected to the pre-history and/or post-history of the Interloper War.
That eye on the back TotK's Link shield is VAATI's Eye not the Sheikah Eye.
And we may find out if the Vaati's Eye & the Sheikah Eye share connection.

I think I know what is happening for the Rito and Gorons, Ritos are being submerged into a big hurricanes and Gorons are infested with heated malice, making the thermal source poisoned, what we can imagine for Zoras and Gerudos is same scenario, as malice lightning or regular storming on Gerudos desert, with a lot of sand storm of course, for Zoras it can be ice related, all of the Zoras domain is totally iced, it can be the cause of the mountain near the domain, or a big cloud of malice on top that freeze the Zoras domain to death, or maybe it's not ice related but as it is for thermal source for the gorons, poisoned constant rain that keep the Zoras out of the water because all of the water is cursed by malice
The malice lightning for the Gerudo is GENIUS! And Zora's Domain being frozen makes total sense, as well as malice water! The Zora need water to survive.
The Zonai are the Twili! I always said it. There are too many similarities and connections, this can't be a coincidence. I am 100% sure that there is a strong connection between the two tribes. The thing difficult to discover is what is this connection. How they are connected. Hopefully Tears of the Kingdom will explain this to us. Also it would be a joy for me if the twilight realm returned in Tears of the Kingdom. I always loved the twilight realm, and Twilight Princess is my favourite videogame of all time!!!

So after going back to some of your older vids , I have an interesting idea and a different theory.
Maybe the deity depicted in the mural is actually Toan the diety you suspected is the deity above all, creator of "Force. As you pointed out previously Toan is associated with the idea of purification, which seems to be a central theme of this game. To also bolster this theory in the delay video footage, we see link at a alter with an orb of pure "Force" or light. And one more thing the spirit that you think is the avatar or representative of Toan in twilight princess has has horns with 3 ridges perhaps similar to the character in the mural.

I never even considered the fact that the Zonai could be another skeikah offshoot. that's so genius. There's definitely something big story wise that is being hidden from us I think with all the Twili and Skyward Sword connections, and I think the game is gonna have some great timeline implications. Why have Zonai architecture suddenly replaced Sheikah ones? Where are the Divine Beasts? When did Death Mountain become infested with malice? Why did the Zonai stone carvings depict these seemingly "new" moblins and bokoblins? So many questions. It might be farfetched but I still feel like there's some time shenanigans going on and I still feel like there's an intentional distinction between Link in the champion tunic and Link in the green garb with long hair, especially if we start out as Link with the champion tunic. It might just be a time skip thing, but imagine if we end up going back to the time where the Zonai were actually roaming Hyrule and its skies, it would make sense why their stuff is all around now in lieu of the Sheikah, and why we're potentially seeing older redesigned creatures. Perhaps the things we're seeing replacing the Sheikah tech aren't "new", but "old" things that were there long before. Probably wrong, but just my own imaginative ramblings!

Ok, I had to take a DEEP breath before typing this, because I don't know if you'll ever reply to this or consider this to be a legitimate theory, but I'll post it anyway. Before I do though, I have to say that I'm a HUGE Zelda fan, and it's very dear and near to my heart, and ever since I've been learning more about the Zonai recently, the Zonai are starting to remind me more and more of the Chozo tribe from Metroid {more specifically Metroid Prime}. As a matter of fact, Zelda and Metroid share something interestingly similar with each other, both of their two core tribes are as follows, The Legend of Zelda - Zonai and Sheikah tribe, Metroid - Chozo and Mawkin tribe, and not only that, but both of these two tribes have a truly significant presence AND impact on the main character/protagonist of the entire video game franchise, Samus Aran - Metroid, and Link - The Legend of Zelda. Due to Samus having both Chozo and Mawkin DNA, she's able to utilize and wield the highly advanced technology, agility, and superhuman feats of the Chozo, Plus, her iconic power suit that's permanently fused with her body was designed by the Chozo themselves, and she also has physical combat prowess, reflexes, AND strength just like the Mawkin.
Link on the other hand utilizes and wields the highly advanced alien {more on the alien technology later} technology of the Zonai, and he also utilizes and wields the ancient yet highly sophisticated and mystical technology of the Sheikah. Oh, and something else, both Samus and Link are able to harness unimaginably powerful abilities with their arms, Samus went through a truly extremely aggressive metamorphosis and transformed into a full blown Human Metroid due to her having Metroid DNA from a Metroid Vaccine in order to overcome the X parasite that had infected her {of which she can now absorb effortlessly}. In the first reveal trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, {which was initially known as " Breath of the Wild 2 "} Link's right arm was shown being fused with some green ethereal energy {presumably Zonai related} and now his arm looks superhuman, his fingernails are now basically claws {JUST LIKE SAMUS'S claws on her fingers when she becomes a Human Metroid}, and he can now manipulate and control time itself AND objects by just a flick of his right hand, and he can also travel straight through solid objects with ease, and who knows what other powerful abilities he can now wield?
What's my point? Well, there seems to be a lot of dissimilarly similar parallels between the Zelda and Metroid universe. In other words, a ironic oxymoronic paradox, two completely different universes with dissimilarities that contain " mirrored " similarities but aren't supposed to, or simply put, two juxtaposed universes with seemingly cryptic synonymous connections that aren't supposed to exist simultaneously, but yet they are. It's profusely difficult to try to explain, but that's the best way I can sum all of that up.
Now onto the " alien " technology aspect of Zelda that I mentioned earlier, this will be brief compared to my previous extensive soliloquy about Zelda and Metroid since I don't have sufficient knowledge on this nearly uncharted territory of Zelda lore. Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, apparently in the concept art for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there was plans to include " alien " phenomena in Breath of the Wild but that idea was eventually scrapped. Interestingly enough, this isn't the only time that " alien " phenomena has been alluded to or merely mentioned in The Legend of Zelda franchise, in fact, alien beings had outright APPEARED in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask {I've never played Majora's Mask myself, I've just watched gameplay of it from others}, and Link had to shoot them with a bow and arrow, or else they would abduct the cows and Romani {this is of course obvious if you've played the game, I just included that for good measure👍} and she'd wake up the next morning sitting down in complete oblivion and confusion. Anyhow, I'm probably the ONLY person that's ever thought about this, but when you factor in all of that, would it really be far fetched to consider the possibility that the Zonai tribe could in fact be an alien race? And could the Zonai themselves be somehow related to the Chozo? I say this because in Metroid Prime, the Chozo are nowhere to be found, but you see an abundance of remnants and motifs that are directly related to the Chozo, just like how the Zonai are nowhere to be found in the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild but their existence thereof past tense is clearly present in many areas of Hyrule. Could they truly be related? Who knows? At any rate, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is shaping up to be THE game of the century, I just thought I'd provide some interesting and in depth insight into the ever-so elusive and mysterious Zonai, and the virtually -improbable- nah impossible connections between them and the Chozo. If you managed to read THIS far into this analysis that I humbly attempted, then you a real one dawg😎. God Bless and GodSpeed🙏.

Regarding the green spirals we see on the surface. While its possible they work as portals to the sky, I think they will have the same function as shrines; they will be openings to underground cave systems. I believe the shot we've seen of Link using the falmethrowing shield takes place in one of these caves.
I already know the exact reason for the tornado that engulfed rito village. Revali finally snapped after being called Ravioli one too many times xDD behold, the true magnitude of Revalis gale!
What if that clip of link climbing the tree root was either part of the lost woods or something similar to the trial of the sword. What I’m going off of is that the environment is hazy and has that bluish tint with particles in the air, like the lost woods without the fog. The other thing is that the clip looks almost as if it was taken in a room with outdoor elements on the inside like the trials. The biggest part I want to point out though is the new thing on links hip is not present in it. The capsule thing is likely not connected to the tears shown around what I think is hylia in the carving because there are 8 slots and 7 tears, therefore showing it might instead be energy capsules for links new arm’s abilities. His capsules not being present there could mean 1 of 2 things and that is either he just obtains it later, or it was taken away before he entered the area, similar to how champions abilities cannot be used in shrines or the trial of the sword. Another detail I noticed while I was typing this was that link is climbing up the side instead of using his arm to clip through or his reverse stasis ability which would both be much mor efficient. Sooooooo…. Yea what do u think about it?
