How to make Korean ramyeon (Ramyeon: 라면) aka ramen

This is the best way I know to prepare ramen, called "ramyeon" 라면 in Korean. I chose spicy ramyeon, but you can use nonspicy if you like.

when i firstly came to US 6 years ago, I couldn't enjoy the American food or American-Chinese food at all. I felt everything was too sweet, and I craved for salty and spicy food because of my strong taste XD. One day, I found this Korean Shin ramyeon and I ate it for straight two months, like 2 or 3 times per day. Then, I was like so tired of Shin ramyeon for almost 2 years since after. Haha, old university memory though.

I'm guessing a lot of Western foods have way more sugar added in their food than Asian countries. My mom-who's Chinese-always talks about how desserts are usually too sweet for her, although not for me. I guess I've gotten used to the super sweet taste, so it depends on what kinds of foods you eat growing up

I love how they sell Shin Ramyeon everywhere, my Korean dad always made it for us growing up (in Canada)...and then when I was living in Scotland for a few months, I found Shin Ramyeon and made it for myself and it reminded me of home :) In addition to egg and green onion, I like adding a bit of baby spinach, sesame seeds, and a touch of sesame oil - Delicious!

There's spicy Japanese ramen and non-spicy Korean ramyeon.
Reham Rantisi To each their own, but Japanese ramen is more brothy and the noodles tastes like almost nothing. I especially don't like Japanese ramen with thick noodles. Not my kind of noodles but I love me some spicy Korean ramen. The seasonings feel just right, and I love it so much with cheese.
How is that less boring... you basically just had to put the noodle in the water, and boiled it for a few minutes, then put all the seasoning packs in. It’s done , ready to serve. To me, that’s a really boring cooking experience.
No matter how full my stomach is, my mouth always waters when I watch you cook out of the Korean recipes. Amazing food. Learning how to make good kimichi too.. :)

MMMMmmmmm, Shin Ramen. My husband and I met in Korea, both in the US Army. We absolutely love this ramen, and I love your channel! Now I can make the dishes we fell in love with (especially Gimbap and Bibimbap!).

Apparently, some Koreans like to put processed cheese into their ramyeon right before serving. The cheese melts into the soup, and gives it a very creamy and surprisingly delicious flavour. You should try it!

I love Nongshim ramen. Around 20 years ago, a friend from Korea introduced it to me. Since then, I always have it in my pantry for those days that I don't have time or the energy to cook. When I throw the egg in the pot, I give it a very fast stir for the egg to dissolved, that way the broth ended up thicker. Nongshim are my family favorite instant soup. Always happy to see your videos and learning from you. Thank you!

looks good hehe. I'm the only one in my house that eats Korean Ramyeon. I think I am the only one within an hours drive as well since the shop ran out a moth after I started buying it and we had to get them to order more in. :)
I make it a little differently than this. I fry two eggs in some butter first then some bacon or meat left over from the night before put it in a bowl then in the same pot add 1 1/2 cups of water noddles and veg packet some fresh or frozen veg and 1/4 to 1/2 the spice(It's summer so too hot for it all.)and some stock. :) Place on lid to cook then serve and eat :)
