Jim Henson was definitely a genius, his Muppets were loved by both Kids and adults which is something you don't see too much of anymore, but I find it 😥 that the Muppets aren't the way they used to be because a black and tan rat took a dump on them 😥😪.

@@spongeycraftstudios4371 I know right, I remember watching some of the newer Muppet movies and it wasn't the Muppets. there was this feeling of Garvin, sadness, and depression that the Muppets gave out. it's. like they were trying to fix the Muppets, but the Muppets were never broken to begin with, in other words if it's not broken don't fix it. they should have retired the Muppets after Jim Henson passing.

While I'm an animator, I have mad respect towards puppeteers and stop-motion animators! Physical medium is far more challenging than digital medium, so I have a degree of imposter syndrome as I fiddle with my digital puppets.

If you like the movie, then be sure to check out the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. It’s a prequel to he events of the movie. Made "Cookie Monster" puppet for 6th-grade art project utilizing Mom's leftover craft supplies. Quite proud of my lil'' Monster, so heartbroken when Teach sent me home w/a failing grade - didn't believe I'd made it myself. There were no super-chain toy-stores pushing "Sesame Street" merch yet; heck, "Tickle Me Elmo" was still a generation away! Next day, Mom marched me to school, confronting Teacher, who refused to back down til Mom turned Monster inside out, revealing muliti-colored stitches unevenly holding together big squares of blue fake-fur in a manner obviously reflecting a child's work. That teacher never did apologize, but I passed the assignment, & had a fun new toy for awhile, til he fell apart.
