For me I used to watch Ghost adventures when I was 12 a few yrs ago at night and even though I knew the videos were always fake, I still liked the scary factor they gave me that horror movies didn't. Now I still like watching them but also Buzzfeed unsolved.
Check out Ghost Files from Watcher! It's exactly what you want! Shane and Ryan are so fucking funny and their investigations are more of them goofing around than anything
I think that’s what made Buzzfeed Unsolved so successful. Their show was more based around the two host’s banter as a believer and a skeptic rather than the evidence itself. So even if they didn’t find anything, the episodes were still fun and interesting to watch. They’re also respectful of the places they go to, and they treat their audience like adults instead of children, letting us create our own opinion on whether or not ghosts are real. (Edit: the replies reminded me to promote their new show “Ghost Files” on Watcher, if anyone is interested.) The only thing that made Shane Dawson’s ghost hunting content tolerable for a little while was when Drew and Garett were there, because it brought in that fun banter. It didn’t feel so serious and campy, more like friends just goofing off.
The Buzzfeed Unsolved guys are still going on "ghost hunting" adventures over at Watcher. Ghost Files (their new show) feels like they're giving the audience a voice with their opinions/experiences more than Buzzfeed Unsolved.

My sister and her friends stayed there for her birthday when she was like 12 and they had a terrifying experience. In the middle of the night they heard the sound of something at their window and a bunch of scratching. A raccoon broke into their room and scared the shit out of all of them. So if like 15 years ago you heard a bunch of screaming kids in the middle of the night at the Stanley you now have an explanation.
Imagine a horror movie where a vlogger stays at a haunted hotel, but instead of having spooky ghost shenanigans, they start to find out how many stories are fabricated, and the hotel workers become increasingly desperate to scare them, eventually resulting in a deadly game of cat (workers) and mouse (vlogger) :0
"watching shane dawson investigate the paranormal is like watching a wounded deer try to investigate a theme park. it doesnt matter what happens, he's going to be terrified" best thing ive heard all week
I am so glad that I found this channel because I have often wondered the exact same thing about some of those ghost shows. I know that Ghost Adventures is way over the top, and they try to make things seem like there is activity when in actually there is nothing there. I get it though, we watch these shows because we want to see something, and when there is no activity, then someone might say that the show is fake (GA is very low on the credibility scale) I have a couple of places here in Los Angeles that I want to check out, like the Heritage Museum, but I'm waiting until after the 1st of the year. Great video!!!👻
The only ghost hunters I trust are Shane and Ryan, because its been 7 years and they still haven't found anything despite how badly one of them wants to.
It’s dramatic because all stuff about paranormal activity is fake, what else are they gonna do for entertainment if there not dramatic? “Guys I heard the floor crack it could be a ghost but most likely in actuality it was probably a rat or the fact that this house is 200 years old😳”
@@cheddarsunchipsyes8144 Haha why don't they do that? Way more interesting if something abnormal actually happened. Otherwise it feels a bit like a hysteria pantomime
I used to go to Estes fairly often (several times a year) and got to know an employee at another Estes Park business. She used to clean the Stanley hotel. She said she never saw anything or heard anything. HOWEVER! She was cleaning a room once and suddenly got a horrible leg cramp that made her fall (which caused a giant thud) and cry out in pain. She then heard several screams outside the room. Turns out a ghost tour was happening at the time and everyone on the tour was convinced they'd heard a ghost. If I remember correctly, she didn't say anything else and just let them think they'd heard a ghost.

As an electronics engineer, the "hunting devices" are hilarious to me. EM frequencies are going to vary any time someone's cellphone tries to get reception. The other gadgets are also probably messing with it. A radio that's flipping through a bunch of stations is going to pick up little clips of stations and if it picks up talking stations (more likely to happen if it's using AM also) it's going to put together some words, and our brains desperately try to make anything that sounds like words make sense.
@@EmilyChill22 That's exactly why I've always found walking around at night fascinating. Things just shape shift in front of your eyes while your brain tries to figure out what you're looking at and it's so interesting to me.

Oh my gosh. Thank you so much for this video. It's so comedic watching these ghost hunters acting in their shows. And that Zac guy is intolerable to watch and listen to. Can't believe someone is calling these fakes out for what they are! 👏
This was 100% more entertaining than any “ghost hunter” shows I’ve ever seen

I think the instinct to sniff wet carpet comes from owning pets lol. It’s the “do I need to deal with this, or did somebody just spill some water?” question
I couldn’t agree more that’s what I was thinking
pets or small children in the house 😂😂 i've never had a 'free range' pet (only insects and rodents) but i've definitely smelled the carpet before to make sure there was no unreported accident
I absolutely love that Danny gave us the Cursed Angle for half of his 'investigating'. Beautiful :)
"some nights its an every night thing"
90% of the time it works every time
My sister and her friends stayed there for her birthday when she was like 12 and they had a terrifying experience.

This video has 13 million views which means all of the people who saw this video are going to go to the Stanley when they die 😂
The only ghost hunters I trust are Shane and Ryan, because its been 7 years and they still haven't found anything despite how badly one of them wants to.
The funny thing is, Shane is always saying he’d love to see a ghost and Ryan is often pleading with them not to show themselves 😆

Does Ghost Files/Buzzfeed unsolved work for you?
It’s dramatic because all stuff about paranormal activity is fake, what else are they gonna do for entertainment if there not dramatic? “Guys I heard the floor crack it could be a ghost but most likely in actuality it was probably a rat or the fact that this house is 200 years old😳”
@@BlueGangsta1958 I love Shane and Ryan, but find the editing and making every noise into a full sentence a bit grating.

If I remember correctly, she didn't say anything else and just let them think they'd heard a ghost.

the sniffing scene got me bad🤣🤣
As an electronics engineer, the "hunting devices" are hilarious to me. EM frequencies are going to vary any time someone's cellphone tries to get reception. The other gadgets are also probably messing with it. A radio that's flipping through a bunch of stations is going to pick up little clips of stations and if it picks up talking stations (more likely to happen if it's using AM also) it's going to put together some words, and our brains desperately try to make anything that sounds like words make sense.
Yeah a huge amount of "photos" and "audio" of ghosts is just our brains desperately trying to find patterns because they're good at that (Pareidolia)
@@EmilyChill22 That's exactly why I've always found walking around at night fascinating. Things just shape shift in front of your eyes while your brain tries to figure out what you're looking at and it's so interesting to me.
