- Based on an attraction at Disneyland, the Country Bear Jamboree, "The Country Bears" (2002) is one in a long line of live action Disney family films. The movie is a satire of Behind the Music rock & roll bands. Beary, a young bear raised by a human family in a world where humans and talking bears coexist, attempts to trace his roots. He meets up with the Country Bears, a long-since broken-up band, a parody of bands like the Eagles. Beary helps the Country Bears reunite for one final concert, while searching for who he truly is. Written by Matt Dicker
Beary Barrinson, a ten-year-old bear cub raised by humans, heads for Tennessee to find his birth family. Along the way, he helps unite the once legendary Country Bear Band for a benefit show to save the Country Bear concert hall.
I don’t care what anyone says: this was a good movie. I cherished it in my childhood and always will.
@Carlton Brown and they are really catchy
I cherished crocs in my childhood. Times change
it was shit
I love this movie too ❤
SAME!
This is old school. Disney was awsome back then.
Hellz yea it was!
Fuck yeah i loved it!!!
Agree and I find it ironic that This movie came out the year after I seen the attraction at Disney world
Back when almost every movie Disney gave us got the G-rating.
@@jordanstauffer6058 this song is my favorite mate
To me, this scene was the best.
Clifford Dean Same
Same as well as the car wash scene
I fucking loved this scene when i was little and i still do! I miss my childhood😄😄😄😄😄😄
Yes it was.
I remember rewinding this scene over and over as a kid because the musical performance was just absolutely amazing. It’s a shame this movie was underrated. It truly deserved a lot of credit
This is fun.
I used to replay this part all the time when I was a kid lmao
Same lol. My best friend and I used to replay it over and over
Lindsay Marie even now the song is still catchy lol
omg +CGA yes i used replay this song over and over this song was very very catchy :D
Same! I would dance in front of my bedroom window dancing & singing with one of my dads guitars in my hand! Lol
I loved this movie when i little! Now i'm 18 AND I STILL LOVED IT!!!!! I LOVED THIS SONG!!!!
This song randomly popped in my head and its been almost 18 years since I've seen it
This movie is on the Disney Plus app
Same
Oh my gosh I thought I dreamed this whole film.. nobody i know seems to remember it! This was my childhood.. I wanted to meet the country bears so bad.. until I realised they were'nt real :(
Right. Its really crazy as shit that nobody know about this movie. I used to watch this at my grandmoms house EVERY time I went over there for years. Me and my brother watched this at least 100 times.
we the only people we know that knows this movie and grew up with it(were from the "hood").
The movie is based on a ride at Disneyland... that I believe is no longer there lol.
Better than the eagles
I remember it
@@sarahtaylor-duff4058 there is a attraction at Disney world too . The one at Disney world is still active
I just love how the cook in the back says "Hey, come on, sing it! Come on!"
That was until it came to life...
Not to mention that the cooks "pull a Tony" by using the pots & pans as drums like how Tony did in Disney's Out of the Box.
LOL the random old ladies with trumpets that's totally normal in diners
+goodtoby07 don't forget the ice for your guitar XD.... oh, wait, that's a salt shaker.
watching it now i almost swear that's a shot glass
Well, so are talking bears, apparently.
Totally normal 😂
We thought they were our pills. We're really old.
this song was my jam at age 5
Ditto
Its still mine
Me too 😂
This was my jam too when i was little! I'm 18 and i still love it!!! *sigh* I miss my childhood.
Same
Tennessee was my favorite country bear..especially when he screams..*TRIXIEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!*
I like him
Agree
she should have been way more famous
Erin Martin If she would have went Country instead of Pop I think she would have kicked butt.
I think American idol is the key for her.
Erin Martin her song “crush” was an international hit
when i watched this for the first time, i was all;
'of course, if bears just randomly come to your dinner, you dont scream and run, you give them menus and take their order!'
EXACTLY
Well yeah, they’re not a threat if they have people clothes. And used to be a musical sensation...
This movie popped into my head today for the first time in probably 8 or 9 years.
I used to watch this movie all the time as a kid. Man. The nostalgia 🥺
Same. Just pooped in my head too n I’m 23 lol
I saw this movie once or twice when I was about 6 years old (now I'm 21) and I swear this song stayed in my head until today. These days I found this movie on Disney Plus and finally came to look for this song 😂
You don't see this sorta thing happen in real life.
Reality's kinda lame like that.
Sure you do. Go to New York
New york? Why?
AustralFever if someone wanted me to sing for them for a giant top, I'd 100% perform a music number
@@jordanstauffer6058 Broadway that's why.
In other diners, tim roth and sam Jackson are arguing on the table
i am 29 years old and i remember jamming out to this when i was cleaning up my toys at 11 years old lol
also now that i work in the restaurant industry, i wish we had this much fun working in the kitchen lol
I wonder what would happen if Gordon Ramsay walked in and saw this lol.
XD
Okay hear me out, I know people hated this film, but this scene is excellent. Hella unrealistic, the choreography is awesome, and jennifer Paige is incredibly talented. The smooth running of this scene, and the camera angles really do make it a great scene
People hated this movie?! I loved this movie as a kid, still a classic for music at least in my eyes
@@tmann7064 that’s what I’m saying??? Who tf hated this movie? This my childhood!
I know right this is my favorite scene and always going to be one of favorite all the time :)
Who could hate this film
@@jonas2431 I know right I love this movie:)
This is probably my favorite scene in the movie and the ending scene when he plays with his music idols.
This movie was my favorite as well i loved it!😄
This song just randomly popped into my head because someone on the show I was watching said "we gotta kick it into gear." I looked it up and thought I heard it from some disney channel movie but it was the freakn country bears. This movie was so surreal.
It's crazy that this was the _THIRD_ Disneyland attraction to get a movie adaptation, after Mission to Mars and after the made-for-TV Tower of Terror. Most people only seem to remember Pirates of the Caribbean as the earliest.
What about Jungle Cruise?
There was also haunted mansion
I loved this movie. Never saw Mission to Mars or Tower of Terror
OMG U JUST UNLOCKED A MEMORY. THANK U FRIEND 😂💫💫💫
This scene is literally the ONLY reason I watch the movie. It's such a shame that such an amazingly choreographed and staged number is in not such a great movie. The set, costumes and all the dancers were absolute perfection. The energy is so on point and that catwalk!
😃Wow that Jennifer Paige sure can sing🎤🎶!
Got that right!
I remember this movie. I loved this when i was a kid. Can't remember much of it though. I should watch it again.
This movie was so underated and the music was amazing! Yet My sibs just can't understand why I love this movie so much.
I never go into a diner without wishing this would happen to me
OMG I watched this movie every single day ! When I got home from school I would watch it ... I thought nobody else watched it before though .👌❤️😄
Paige: how do you boys like your eggs?
Zeb: HOT!
Fred: like us
Fred: Did you make it?
Zed: tch ya Fred she just made it she just works here for the free uniformFred: *growls*Zed: No offense!
I love that part lol
Mystic I’ve always thought he said darn it no bitch and it still sounds like that it doesn’t sound like he said no offense
@@CieraMatlock he didn't say that lol
She *does* look striking in the uniform. I think it's the short skirt and boots.
This movie was such a fever dream! Nostalgia unlocked
Happy 20 years to Country bears We still gon kick into gear to this day 🤎
This is when the manager comes in, like, "Fired. Fired. Fired. Fired. Fired. Fired. (takes out a gun) Animal hazard."
even though this was my youngest nephews favorite movie when he was little i still enjoyed it and i have enjoyed many disney movies since i was a kid and i think that is the real magic of what walt disney has brought to the world the ability to still feel like a kid even after we are grown up and on our own thanks to his dreams we all have had dreams of our own to follow
Preach 🤗
12 years since this Came Out and I still love it One Of My best Childhood Movies ❤️
for some reason, as a kid...i used to dance to this song with pom poms in my room. i used to do cheerleading, and thats why i had the pom poms. oh if only we could actually dance in diners in real life.
You can in New York
Laeric T
omg really?
Yes! Look up Ellen's Stardust Diner! It has nothing to do with Ellen DeGeneres lol. It's a diner on Broadway with a singing and performing waitstaff.
+flwrgrl13 haha thats awesome. she's back now: www.jenniferpaige.com/kickstarter
Thu Nguyen oh yay!
This is the best scene ever. The chefs are my favorites.
Idk how I found this movie was I young.. but I did. And I'm grateful.
Why was this one part so funny to me... I think it’s how they cut from the flash back scene hahaha it was so abrupt 🤣
I wish this movie got more love
dang here i am in 2020
Thank you Nostalgia Critic for reminding me that not only did this movie exist, but it is a strangely underrated Disney movie.
He's pretty much the reason I decided to check the movie out. Like most Disney classics, this is a musical, which is good. This is 1 of Disney's most UNDERRATED movies.
The MOST UNDERRATED Disney movie *ever*
Holy throwback! I completely forgot this movie existed!! ❤🎶
I always loved the guy strumming the guitar with the shot glass lol
I have to say, my favorite thing about this scene is: The chefs banging pots and pans. I like all chefs.
Best scene ever!!!
After Blues Brothers, that was the best music fils, the Country Bears
me and my friend watch this every time we hang out before bed it has truly changed our lives
"eugh.... HOT!! like us..."
I remember how much I loved this movie but the carwash sequence gave me nightmares as a kid
I still love this music and I will not forget it forever ok??????
This was literally my favorite song from this movie!! Close second is I’m Only In It For the Honey!
I like this part of the movie its like she sung this song with more soul, and the ending was funny when the bears looked like "what just happened" I laughed my socks off
They don't make movies this good anymore
No, they do not
Just like good times. When I was a kid, plus I loved that song too.
this is the best song that i love and its cool
Tina Gehler YEAH!!!
It’s pretty cool everyone at the diner brought in their instruments and knew the song lol
I'm laughing because the old guys how they're dancing on 2:45
Lol i didnt notice that lol
They’re GOING for it
Mad props for men at their age to keep up in a contemporary dance number with high energy.
William-Jay Monetti agreed
Know what, better than Charli D’Ameilo
Jennifer Paige really did kick it into gear!
2021? one of my fave classics
2:17
Tennessee is like yay it stop
Henry is like are they done now
Zed like peek-a-boo it stop
it hard to believe its been 11 years since this movie came out

mrprojoe1 this movie came out in 2002
It's been 17 years now
Marcus280898 more like 6 1/2 but it will turn 17 this year
mrprojoe1 yeah it came out the same year I was born and I’m 17! I feel old
I was born a year after this movie came out
the girl who sings crush💖 i love jennifer
Brings back memories!
I am singing this in show choir and I am the lead
Whenever I see or hear "sunny side up" I think of this song
I loved this movie
2:13
Tennessee is like oh no it spinning again
Haney is like oh no im about to fall of my seat
Zed is like im superMan (superbear)
This was my fav movie
If i ever own a restaurant ill hire a band to play this whenever its teenage night
Does anyone laugh at the absurdity of this scene, like how the chefs just start banging pots and pans or some guy just appears with a guitar. It just really makes me laugh besides the fact that it’s a really fun song
I do
Yes. It's funny, and, (of course) awesome, too.
Me in front of the tv VHS tape rolling jamming like my life depended on it yeah those were the good days lol
I am just imagining someone in the diner was like " dammit, why does every place i go to break into a song? i just wanted breakfast".
My childhood ❤️😭
bro i miss this movie so much !😭
Oh mah gosh. You're the Country BEARZZ 😂 Good times 🤧
*This song randomly came into my head when I was at work today and I had to listen to it when I got home lmao, I miss my childhood.*
LOVE IT!!! A BEAUTIFUL MEMORY OF MY CHILDHOOD!!!
So many memories
I always think of the "HOT" line when people ask how I like my eggs, lol.
I remember being stuck at home watching this in the summer of 2003 because I had a terribly painful foot infection from a rusty fence wire wound I got in the backyard. Had to get a tetna shot and take some strong antibiotics, but honestly it was still a good time.
You know this was the first time I think I have ever seen a flash mob in full force and the song is absolutely perfect
I love the dude they brought the guitar & amp setup into the restaurant and just happened to be ready to play a solo
I love that I’m complaining about that being unrealistic when there’s animatronic bears sitting there
Love it!!!
Ashley Kendrick )
Such a fever dream! I love it!
21 years old got that song stuck in my head as I was bored... and old memories start to come back!!! OMG I MISS IT!!! Right after dancing up a storm in my bedroom I watched it!!! And aaaaaah I missed it so much!!! Hmm but now that I think about it I don't really remember how old I was when I first saw this.. I was born in 1995 soooo.. about 6 or 7 years old.. huh! Ya don't saaaaaay!!!!!
i like kick it into gear it's a good song
Very nostagic 2003
I know this movie got hate, but I was 7 years old when this came out. I liked it and I like it now!
I remember the trailer and I wanted to see the movie but my mom didn’t want to see it. Now that I have the dvd it’s so well done . After 22 years
I used to think that was a Betty White cameo at 1:45
Always love this movie!
I can remember watching this movie dancing to this song made me country
After Blues Brothers, we have Country Bears
This movie pops up in my head from time to time. Omg this song has hit it with memories coming back when I jammed out to this song back then
The song popped into my head earlier today, but couldn't remember which movie I heard it from. All I remembered it had something to do with bears travel the country and found it on Google. One of many movies I loved during childhood. I've listened to this song two times today and still as amazing as remember it.❤ Thank you.
I have a DVD of this movie and I love it!!!!!
My brother and I grew up with this movie. You can bet your arse that we danced to this every time this song came on.
Girls you better kick your Boyfriend It Into Gear
The red head in the black outfit always did something for me as a child ....i was a sick kid lol
