Try to join the dept after completing your maternity period, after getting joining there you can avail further extension. In the clause of joining you can refer your maternity clause, it will be acceptable,

Try to join the dept after completing your maternity period, after getting joining there you can avail further extension.
In the clause of joining you can refer your maternity clause, it will be acceptable,
