Some Hannover lore: Hannover is situated where it is because there happened to be a high riverbank (that's where Hannover gets its name from: "Honovere", which translates to "At the high riverbank") safe from regularly occurring floods of the resident Leine river. In addition to this, at the place of Hannover's founding, there happened to be a stream island and relatively slim river plain plus shallow ford, making for a good point to cross the river there. Perhaps because of that, there was a crossing of two major roads at that location. So naturally, a medieval mercantile town would flourish there, as sources suggest, as early as 950 a.d. . ( it's very common in germany to have towns named after trees) -Dresden: from the old sorbian "drezd'any" meaning "denizens of the swamp valley". so yeah, germans really like their rivers, trees and swamps when naming their towns.

@@skyr3x sometimes it really felt like it💀
As a foreign student living in Germany for 9 months, I can confirm this is true.
The thing is that HSV fans are a dichotomy: either they still have passion in which case the clip is accurate or the last 12 to 13 years have turned them into an emotionless stone when it comes to HSV
Well, I'm gonna start working towards my double nationality with Germany, and this video was very informative, looking forward to moving to Cologne
Willkommen und denk an das tägliche Früh Kölsch
oder zumindest Kölsches Wasser (ist ne Limo)
And always remember to ask for an "Alt" in the breweries and restaurants. It's the specialty there
Hamburg is almost as gay as cologne lol

Im amazed that he caught the CDU lacking with corruption 😂 I didn’t think those news would ever leave the Bavarian border 🤣
You'd have to get it into Bavaria first if we're talking about the CDU

As a person who lives in Aachen, I take the 25 bus nearly every Sunday to buy shit in Vaals that they don’t have in Aachen 💀
Dutch supermarket slaps tho
this was GREAT! ✨ hahhaha and highly accurate!

As a Citizen of Frankfurt (Oder) I support this message
I can relate
As a HSV Fan 1:38 i can confirm, its pure agony
Yeah, like I was confident they finally make it... bruh
The Meme for Konstanz explaining that they aren't Swiss also works for Schaffhausen explaining that they aren't German
Try not to smell piss after exiting from a Hauptbahnhof anywhere in germany for the first 3 minutes (impossible)
Even here in my village the train stop smells like piss
When your Bundesland wasn’t slander-ed in this video: _happy Sachsen-Anhalt noises_
East Germany was though
Happy NRW

That's because no one remembers it.

Lower-saxony is the truest thing ever. We once did a 16 hour bike tour and I'm not shitting you every single place we passed through had the same exact junction with the same exact farm building to the left, felt like we passed the same place like 10 times
Go to Hamburg and greet someone with „Servus“ and watch what happens
Damn that about rural people being alcoholic hits hard
In Saarland on every little festival in every little place with more than 10 people there is a stand with beer and everyone can't walk straight anymore after like 2 hours
As a German this thought me so much about other states and cities in my own country xD Definitely had a good laugh xD

What's Wilhelmshaven like these days? It wasn't in the video, but as a foreigner history buff I know at least in the past it was a major port city for you guys (and a naval base).
Frankfurters are the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced
And don't forget, Bielefeld having an existential crisis!
The studying for Abitur in Bavaria is 100% true 🙂
I am young, from eastern Germany and had to live and work in the west for the past 3 months. Never will I leave the east again.
Warum?
bochum caught me off guard but as a bochumer i gotta say, its so accurate
As a foreigner in bochum, i very much agree.
This city is so damn boring and dry
I swear. As a Bochumer myself I need to say. Dortmund gets all the cool things.
I'm from Frankfurt and I can confirm that this 0:33 is completely accurate xD
In The Hague we are with guys looking same.
I love how everytime something about Stuttgart appears, it has to do with money, which is entirely true lmao.
1:11 Baden-Württemberg when someone from Bavaria greets them with "Servus".
The footage that you used for Lower-Saxony is actually from the Netherlands. ''Groene hart'' on the brown sign translates to ''Grun Herz'' or ''Green Heart''

Well, I recently moved to Munich. The rent is expensive, but at least the apartment is good and well located. It's definitely better than São Paulo, where rent was high as fuck and it took me 2 hours in public transport to get to work (and another 2 to get back).
