no is not. The first Tamagotchi game was actually the original virtual pet itself, which was not a video game in the traditional sense but a handheld digital pet created by Bandai. It was released in Japan in 1996. The Tamagotchi allowed players to care for a virtual creature, feeding it, playing with it, and ensuring it stayed healthy and happy. It became incredibly popular worldwide and sparked numerous adaptations and spin-offs, including video games for various consoles and platforms.
Will you guys help me get Bandai Namco to dub the rest of the Tamagotchi anime series from episode 27 to episode 271 aka episode 50 of Go-Go Tamagotchi in English? Help a fellow Tamagotchi fan out.
Holy crap the nostalgia
So this is Tamagotchi's first game in 1997.
