There’s nothing wrong with the 4K on the M50, you just need to make sure each shot is manually adjusted, the autofocus is pretty bad
Yes the m50 auto focus is sketchy 👍🏻
Big ups to this. I played around with this the other day. Manual focus is the way to go with the M50. So odd cus I thought auto focus would be better but it was a hassle more than anything.

I enjoy watching your films about the Canon R50. A month ago I bought the same one. I like him. And a week ago I bought 7Artisans 7.5mm F2:8 for him. This is just a bomb pictures from him. I want to learn how to do time lapse on R50

I love my r50.for begginers .I use it for everything Instagram photos looks so good with basic editing.I also use it for UA-cam videos and TikToks and it looks solid with some editing.I also use it as a web cam and a streaming camera and it looks super good.easy to use and easy to follow UA-cam videos on it And it’s Bluetooth connected with youre phone. So transferring photos and videos is simple. I’d personally give it a 8/10🤌🏽

Im thinking of getting the r50 but BECAUSE the r50 is so damn good im CONSIDERING getting the m50 instead just to help hide facial imperfections. Because I just tend to get acne very frequently sometimes and i feel that if i get the r50, it would be a hinderance instead of a help to my channel considering that id be worried about showing the acne.
But the biggest thing i dont like about the m50 is that the video cuts off after only 30 minutes, whereas the r50 has a 1hr recording limit.

There are picture profile settings for sharpness you can set. This may help. Don’t let imperfections hold you back - go for it regardless. I think the m50 mkii had the recording limit removed for camming. M50 for the win if purchased 2nd hand and pick up the sigma 16mm m mount lens, but the R50 for newer tech and adding the sigma 18-50mm. Thanks for watching as I really appreciate it

With only 9 months difference between the release of the * R10 and the R50 - the R50* has a few more features (more shots per charge, lens focus breathing correction, a better screen, and weighs less). The R10 does shoot a few more frames per second continuous shooting at 15 (23 electronic) whereas the R50 can do 12 (15 elecrtonic). The R50 is my choice of these entry level cameras. I have the original M50 and the R50 is worth the upgrade for me for video
Could you help me set up my Canon R50? I've used it for streaming using the HDMI output, but I realized that the receiver was using the internal microphone instead of the external one attached to my Canon R50.
used both dji mic 2 and Shotgun mic
I know the R50 has a TRS jack. I’ve made the mistake in the past using a cable that is suited for phone - TRRS is not compatible with the R50. Also I hadn’t pushed in the cable fully and had no sound. Try these first. Hope it goes well and thanks for watching and saying hi

I have the Canon m50 mark ii but not happy with the video quality/focus. I play and record basketball clips.. any tips or advice on any video cameras that I should look into? I prefer 1080x1920 recording (for instagram) and a wide angle lens to get the whole basketball halfcourt I play in with other people aswell... Would love to know what you think. Cheers from Aus 🇦🇺 ❤
What lenses are you currently using? An interesting question for sure. Sports are typically shot at 30fps to reduce motion blur. 4K would be my preferred option as you can zoom in digitally in the edit
@@cre8r61 I currently use the stock 15-45mm Single Lens & the Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM lens both are good but just not doing it for me...
@@SomeSkillzTV the Sigma 16mm is a fast wide lens and loved by many (including me) FB Market Place has them generally around $400-$450 AUD if you want to stick with the M50. i'm making a video on a fun 35mm lens thats only a few bucks. Look out for that one when it drops soon

Im planning on buying a camera that is good for photography, also in videography that suits my budget. quick question, tho. how's the audio(for making a film with lots of talking:) Is it good? or do i need to buy a specific mic for it? great vid.
Onboard mics typically are terrible. The R50 is great for photo and video with many features you can learn as you go along. With the mic input jack an inexpensive shotgun or wireless lav kit can help improve audio. I have a video coming testing mics from Saramonic. I’m on the research for a cam for DYI music video. So the R50 is the best bang for the buck for that type of video making?
I LOVE the R50. Great value in this beginner package with 4K. Don’t go as cheap as the R100. Have a look at a fast wide lens like the RF16mm as this would make it around a 25mm on the crop sensor. The lens has stabilisation and reasonably fast at F2.8. I’m starting to see some of these on the 2nd hand market. Thanks for watching my channel as I really appreciate your support

Thanks for dropping by. While I’m not a beauty influencer I’d always go for the better version that gives value. I’m impressed with the R50 4K and auto focus. Canon color science is fabulous for skin tones. 4K can be unkind to skin complexions and texture showing every detail. Just had a quick peak at your channel and your lighting is fabulous, editing on point and video cadence is engaging (keep going). The RF 50mm native to the R mount is quality but the EF 50mm can be purchased 2nd hand but focus is noisy. I also love the Canon G7X ii and the Sony ZV 1 as my A and B cams when talking about the R50. Both are quick and fabulous capable shooters too. Thanks again for watching as I really appreciate it

Zv e10 or r50 for photography?
Thanks for watching. It’s actually a tough call - I’ve just picked up the ZV-E10 and I actually quite like it. Menus and settings seem easier on the R50. I have a few videos in the works comparing the same lens on these cameras. This UA-cam thing is fun 🤩

R50 has better (usable) 4K footage with the 50mm EF lens
How is the audio and filming on this camera?
Audio is as you’d expect for in built mics - not fabulous. I’ve been using the Saramonic Blink ME and I’m loving it. Camera preamps are ordinary but the R50 can show your sound levels on screen ☺️

Crop factor 4K on the M50. It looks like the R50 on the right at 1080P
The M50 had a crop (multiply your lens x1.6 ie 50mm X 1.6 = 80mm)

IMO I’m loving the R50 capabilities BUT RF lens options are expensive. No fun lenses for the RF mount from 3rd party manufacturers like Sigma. I have a soft spot for the M50 as it is my dream camera getting back into photography and video

I am biased towards the Canon R50 as I own this. Nikon make great cameras but I don’t own one so I cannot compare. Either will be a great choice and it depends on your budget and features required. Thanks for watching

i think the 50mm is the suspect. when i use 22mm or kitlens on my m50, there's not much an issue unlike when i use 50mm
4K and auto focus was an issue on the M50 reverting back to contrast based focus. The M50 hunted for focus when recording in 4K. Thanks for watching as I really appreciate it
What adapter are you using to put the ef lens on the r50.
Hi there and thanks for your question. I use this adapter - the Canon EF-EOS R Bayonet Adapter with Lens Control Ring. I've had no issues with this and also use EFS lenses on the R50. By using a lens mount adaptor if I'm not mistaken

Canon M6 mkii does the same as the R50

Hi there and thanks for watching. The A7S II was released in 2015 and 5 years later the Canon M50 MK ii was released. The M50 mk ii is an entry level APSC sensor camera and the A7S II is a Pro level Full Frame camera. They know each other but are not related 😉

@@andrijtesliar With the R50 being released (2023) and the ZVE10 (2021) you have a little advantage with the Canon R50. Better auto focus with more focus points on the R50, the EVF and higher resolution full touch screen I feel the R50 is a better choice. I do want to take the Sony ZVE10 for a test drive though and compare
I tell you R50 is a little Beast and very underrated camera . I personally use it . sony people just engulfed it so....😂
