Me too. I remember a close buddy of mine and I found it at the same time and when I saw him he was like, "yo you gotta check out this artist", and I said, "sandsnake!?", lol. Nostalgia.
Show some respect, boys. Skream was there at the birth of dubstep and pioneered the genre. He makes some raw-ass beats and if you can't appreciate it, don't hate, just move on and don't soil this refuge for the rest of us.
the way the breaks are sliced up so only one snare appears in a bar but its BREAKS just tells you how early this is, defining stuff, literally dipping their hand in a puddle, that turned into a large lake.
Does anyone notice that the drum beat slightly resembles Skream's song "Lightning" off the Skreamizm Vol. 1? Leads me to believe that Skream is fully responsible for that killer backbeat.
the first track with the woman singing is called "Under The Dancing Feet - Clouds" but that shits pure dubplate, i dont think its possible to get it at the moment
why do ppl piss and moan about this not bein proper dubstep, the genres evolvin n changin like house years n years back, itll splinter up into subgenres n everyone'll b happy i like my low key stuff but nothin beats a chest rattlin beast like this bring back club shhhh! glory days!
@xXJoryXx mate your right this is proper dubstep! you got to love the old and new cause at the end of the day it is what it is....and what it is is dubstep!!
@Fermezlabouchee you also have to bear in mind the many many other genres that have split from Dubstep besides brostep... Bear Cubstep, Flowering Shrubstep, Country Clubstep... hell... even Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Clubstep Band
tllin ya now m8 im a big fan of jungle 4 the fast hi hats and snares but dub has gt the bass and the snares and hi hats dubstep is just full on messy m8e woo big up skream 4 dis big tune like always 1
if its easily available as a digital release I'll buy it. If they make you work to try to track it down or have only vinyl I'll support them in other ways by going to there gigs. Maybe in the UK HMV has a dubstep section, but you wont find that shit in any HMV around my parts.
@Brennan946 I am from holland, so I think I listen the most to dutch hiphop , but house is also great. I don't know if you know Spencer & hill ? That is some damn good music :)
Takes me back to my teens damn tune
