This is a masterpiece, i wonder where is the woman voice music came from, because I used to heard that voice in a reggae music when im going to school on public transportation
I think that Rusko did a great remix on the original. I usually dont like Rusko's tunes, they too filthy. But this is al well done dubplate on Skream's original. I like the small dub effects he put in, he made the bassline cleaner, and more contstant, and this tune came out nicely. The synth in the melody is perfectly done, and the melody shifted, and is still beautiful done.. I like this track.
Though I think the Dub feel was important in early Dubstep. There is no Dub feel whatsoever in brostep for instance. Therefore I think of Dubstep as it was in it early stages, where the "dub feel" was important, therefore implying I don't honestly see "brostep", "chillstep" etc.. as Dubstep, but sub-genres.
It's called chill. Not everything needs to be fast and energetic. Life moves fast. Any time spent relaxing and slowing shit down is a good thing. I wouldn't expect you to have the mental capacity to understand that, though. You're probably one of those "OMG 420 SMOK WEED ERRRR DAY IM SO COOL BRO I LOVE PARTYING #YOLO LOLL0L" kids.
@zerbamandnb know what you mean i'm 17 so similar problem but you cant get the older stuff like early dubstep or garage in good quality unless its 'on wax' so go for a mixture of the two keep going with vinyl as much as u can as well as cddjs
OMGGGGGGGGG Absolutely love this! I love both versions. So chilled! I'm not the biggest dubstep fan but its a shame all I'm hearing from most dubstep songs nowadays is RAWR RAWR RAWR, like some transformers on some domestic violence trip.
I remember when this video didn't have a stream of comments by people who's musical opinions are more malformed than the music they try to glorify. love this track :)
people who like this: listen to the original version. it's bassy. then hit up the rest of Skreams' stuff! consider it a gateway into the awesome world of chill dubstep
Who the **peeep** cares what genre this is. One of the best developments in the musicindustry is that nowadays you don't necessarily have to label things in to one category. Genres mix, people mix, music is music. So stop being jerks and just ENJOY THE MUSIC. Peace x
@bouncygangsta Sukh Knight - Chicken Curry Rusko - Sound Guy Is My Target Radikal Guru - Strong Dub Marla - Alicia Rusko - Acton Dread Zomby - Spliff Dub (Sukh Knight Remix) RYXP - Stronghold [not dubstep but still chill] And this one ofc. :P
Just here to discover the roots of dubstep. Better late than never.
Boh! 🙌🏼
This is a lost art form. I come back to this song every so often and just bob my head to the sound of what used to make me freak out in the club
Yea, they don't make music like they use to, or atleast broadcast the good stuff.
Amen braj. Makes me giddy knowing this track still gets love. 🖖🏻
Resonate with this comment so much
One of my favorite tunes ever ❤
I remember rolling back in 2010ish listening to this song and admiring how beautiful it is. Too many great memories 😢

epitome of what real dubstep is
two of the pioneers that really introduced me to the music I love today, this is a tune.
Back when the "dub" in dubstep actually meant something about the genre.
Exactly
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Said everything
Word
Oh the good days when Dubstep was so original & new.
L33T Gaymer god that’s the truest thing I’ve ever heard. This was before it became exploited and still sounded like London filth over reggae beats
Ah before america ruined it...
All my homies love Rusko!
And Skream of course.
Old man, you are right. On the surface its just music, but beneath that, its a form of expression on a million different levels and flavours.
kiss me teet
One of my favorites about 8 years ago and still remains one of my favorites to this day.

Absolutely one of the best remixes I've ever heard.
Rusko at his best before gay brostep. This is where its at!
This is my 4/20 anthem.
Mine is Rusko - Sound boy is my target, or Bro Safari - Amazon Rock, sometimes Synkro - King of Kings , or Attack .
I love it when an old dub comes home
welcome home dawg!!
been loving this song since the day it came out .... good sexy times
Nothing beats finding this absolute tune in my favourites from years ago. *Rolls up*
so old school that there are myspace links in the description
Miss the old times
I love that dubby sub bass, mimicking the original melody. Brilliant remix.

Old skool dub! ...miss the days
I'm not sure if I prefer this or the original. They're both amazing.
I love this step like in a driving techy involvin sound!!
I actually dont know if swing my head or go and bounce up
more then 10 years still the best
Maybe because he was a huge influence on the whole "brostep"-sound, which many people, understandably, don't appreciate.
Still good in 2023.
This is by far way better than the original. So much more emotional with the melody!
You can listen all day
OMGGGGGGGGG Absolutely love this! I love both versions. So chilled! I'm not the biggest dubstep fan but its a shame all I'm hearing from most dubstep songs nowadays is RAWR RAWR RAWR, like some transformers on some domestic violence trip.
positive vibes. luv it. keeping the dub alive.
Like Skream! I prefer his older work. UK bass has an ethereal influence on myself!
circular and reciprocal + more
Nothing today sounds as good and down to earth as this to me.
So I happy I found this song years ago and still a gem today.
Hell yeah. Check out Get Darker's stuff then. He has all the old dub heads on all the time.
Everything You Need To Know there’s no such thing as uk bass this is Jamaican culture and music
Rusko before his "OMG! shit happens..." much respect
Echos in my mind
Dubstep that sounds like dub... Fucking RARITY

@zerbamandnb its dubstep on vinyl. wax is just slang for vinyl

amazing, beats the original by a long run
This is so much different from today's dubstep. But I really like this, relaxes me so much. :)
@zerbamandnb its quite frequently used. u must have heard: its coming out on wax or soulwax records or earwax recordings etc.
Space, weight and pressure
@xxAbcelxx its dubstep in every sense of the genre!
Anyone know any other songs like this? Obviously scream, rusko etc but anyone else?
This is incredible!

Skream?
Good Music, nice taste:)
@Benjy3634 apparently, it's "brostep" now. someone correct me if i'm wrong :P
although i do dabble in mind altering substances from time to time, i completely endorse this statement
Who the **peeep** cares what genre this is. One of the best developments in the musicindustry is that nowadays you don't necessarily have to label things in to one category. Genres mix, people mix, music is music. So stop being jerks and just ENJOY THE MUSIC. Peace x
CHILL ITS ONLY MUSIC

ambient dubz me gusta.
@xxAbcelxx But they sure help you experience it when you're not feeling it already.
if i couldnt see the title id say its a VIP its almost the same as the original
the bassline is simpler and softer, it's much more chilled out.
and that reverb tho!!
heerlijk!!!
whered the full come froooom
@gdisleet spot on!

"original dubstep" is also a "bunch of synthesizers and drums"
Sometimes you just need to hear this song...

@bouncygangsta Sukh Knight - Chicken Curry
Rusko - Sound Guy Is My Target
Radikal Guru - Strong Dub

Does anyone know where to buy this?
Reminds me of Acton Dread
It still does, you're just looking in the wrong places :P
@Jartny don't really see the point of making a remix like this, he didn't change much in the song
Vera Musica, e Basta Cazzate!!!
@ioanatema do that and listen to this with weed and u'll know what life is man.
