I have a friend who is an enthusiast of a legal liqueur called Chartreuse, which he claims tastes a lot like Absinthe ( he's had both). It's made in Europe by monks.
I knew of a fellow who had drank absinthe straight. He did it few times, told me his hangovers from it were way more intense. He told me to" brace for it" if you have it straight. Lol
Absinthe had issues since its original inception. There were cases in Demark and other places as early as the 1500s .
You must make the background sounds a little louder to completely drown out the woman's voice!

Ive had absinthe. It has pleasant anise flavor. It’s okay but certainly doesn’t live up to the hype. Worth trying if you’re curious.
Have better absinthe. You might as well have just been drinking Pernod.

No you haven't.
Today's recipe is not the same as the original.
