I have the 20W S1, so it was interesting for me & thanks for the test. I am puzzled however, why you mention more than once about wearing safety goggles when the lid of the machine provides eye protection from the laser beam?
Just being extra cautious to make sure you protect your eyes. These lasers can cause damage to your eyes. I noticed with mine if you are sitting next to it the riser base still has a little bit of the laser light peak through. However it’s up to you rather you wear them for extra protection or not. They came with my laser engraver so it doesn’t hurt wearing them if you have them. Take care.
@@liciatoday Thanks for the reply. I didn’t get any glasses with my S1 & now wondering whether it is something that xTool would recommend. Think I need to contact them to see what they have to say. I don’t have the riser base so just dealing with the standard machine & may be that is why I didn’t get any glasses.
Interesting yours didn’t come with some. I ended up buying extra ones for my husband and kids off Amazon. That is an option and they weren’t expensive.
You should try inverting image,
pwr 17, speed 128, bmp:Bayer,
dpi around 250. Thicker layers of paint. See how that works. All image processing can be done in Creative Space. Good luck! 😊
