I wonder if it got smushed together because you didn’t unit you only grouped it together. Whenever unit it starts from left to right and doesn’t jump back and forth

I keep getting a weird yellowish haze when I do anything near the sides, I have the same exact setup but near the rounded edges it really seems yellow and frosted not clear through

I have a 10w diode, I wonder if these setting will work for me or if I'll need to adjust. I've been afraid to try more colors ( red and black have worked just fine) but I haven't been able to get through the white yet

How did you manage to remove the base plate without the laser displaying an error message indicating that the base plate is not probertly mounted ?

Thanks so much, this is exactly what I have been trying to find out since getting my S1! The standard laser is essentially a blue laser (455nm is blue light) and so the blue acrylic reflects it rather than absorbing the energy - hence it looks blue when it reflects the blue light in daylight

Maybe the reflective material in the acrylic paint is forming a barrier too difficult for the lasers to penetrate?

Have you tried using grayscale and invert the image? I engrave painted canvases all the time but I invert the image.

I have learned in the test grids for canvas lower you power max from 100 to 30 it help me. Im new to doing the canvas engravings but its been a fun experience

A thing I do for my jigs is I add a shape in the jig that represents my off-limits area on the material in your case the opener part this helps me better align.

Have you tried 100 power 8-9 speed on 1 pass? I have some wood I either run 100 power 3 speed or 12speed 2 pass.

I don't post long comments, but you need to know this: A few days ago, my converted Epson 8550 and Epson 2803 started printing in pink within minutes of each other for no apparent reason. I thought a firmware update had bricked them both, and it broke my heart. I have a booth at an event next week that I am prepping for, my first, in fact. While I give God all the glory and praise, I owe you a heartfelt thank you for being the messenger He sent along the way. Some things aren’t worth the time. $10-15 for something that took 8 hours to make? I’d rather make $15 off a tumbler that’s done in 5 minutes and knock out 40 a day.

We have the same issue today... We will try it and see.
