I appreciate how they have respected every detail down to the Hairdos. This is exactly the way elegant women wore their hair in the 20's & 30's. The 70's and 80's when they still gave the viewers TV series worth watching. 😊 Thanks for the upload. Greetings from Paris🎉
The old Scott on the bench smoking his pipe all day reminds me of me Da. Same broug and age around same era. I can't stop laughing about it. He was with Her Royal Magesty's Merchant Marine of the late Victorian period. Steam and sail! Migrated to USA immediately after WW1. Sure do love these Wimsy stories!
This is so appreciated. Excellent acting, directing, set design, sound, cinematography....only criticism is there arent enough of them! Thank you for sharing these.
I have read the story several times and have viewed this video at least 3 times over the last 30 years. I was puzzled why there was never a mention of luggage in the story...his carcase. This last time when I viewed it I heard them mention his carcass (the way we spell it in the US). Boy, do I feel dumb! But I Love all of the Lord Peter tales.
41:41 I chuckled to myself thinking that pair (dancer and the infatuated older rich woman) was an earlier version of the present online romance scam we have now - younger man scamming older rich woman into thinking she was so in love that he could fleece her of her money.
How on earth are they going to unravel this murder mystery. The actor playing Lord Peter whimsy butler bunting if I'm correct I remember him being in the tv series Tom Brown's School Days playing the school bully flashman.
5:00 - i have always thought it a goof that she couldn't just drag him away from the incoming tide since it seemed only about 150 yds (a woman her size could put her arms under his shoulders and drag him etc?) - it made a better story that she couldn't of course but he should have been much fatter etc.
She is an idiot. She just escaped a murder charge , she should have run away from there the minute she realized he was dead but instead she goes and touch everything .

Every detail of this production is perfection. Thank you for posting, it is such a pleasure to watch.
FYI- Harriet Vane (Harriet Walter) is the legendary Sir Christopher Lee’s niece 🙌❤️
Really. Good to know

Harriet has a large range of outfits in her rucksack 😂😂
😂 That didn't even occur to me until you said it.

Only 58 K views after 7 years. Says it all. When you see real CRAP get more than 1M views in less than 6 months. 😮😮
My favorite Lord Whinsey is Petherbridge.
Much prefer Ian Carmichael
Edward is rather handsome.
I loved this series. It's a pity though that they only made three episodes.
Who doesn't love a big, fluffy bobbed hairdo? Thanks for all the excellent uploads!
Well, can't say I love Harriet's hairdo. They didn't do her any favors with that cut. She has nice eyes, deserved better with the hair.

Habeas Corpus . (" You Have His Carcase". legal Latin) There must be a body (carcasse) for the coroner to view. The body disappeared.

Me 4 lol
This is my favourite of the Lord Peter Wimsey videos. Thanks for uploading.

Same with aging gay men. And they needn't be rich.
thanks for posting.

In the books did Wimsey wear a monocle?
Yes

On a smooth walkway, sure. Over boulders and through sand? That's hard going.
Books are much better likewise the radio adaptation
