A solid album. Awesome work with the great in depth review.
A Fantastic KISS album ❤Love Revenge.
Ive really enjoyed this guided trip through the KISS albums 🤘 even learned about a few things, like the Argentinian mix of Paralyzed.manythnx and Merry Christmas!
Loving these reviews
A truly superb album that shows commitment. I saw them at Sheffield Arena, unfortunately they were hard to see as we were about three million miles away. They used the Pharaoh from the Hot In the Shade tour.
Another great album
I was all set to skip this like I originally had the previous three, that was until I heard "Domino" on the radio. Gone were the neon outfits and in came black leather and Gene looks absolutely menacing on the inside cover. I was also pleased to see Bob Ezrin back in the producers seat. He delivered 3 good to great albums, it's too bad they didnt use him in the eighties. It was sad about Eric not being able to play on the album. They had finally become the band he was expecting when he joined in 81.
At Christmas time you can't hide the hook
God Gave Rock n Roll to You 2 on Revenge is not the single that got in the charts. The album had a different rerecording. If you want to checkout The radio hit is is available on Interscope records
What about "Crazy Nights", "Hot In The Shade" and "Smashes, Trashes and Hits"?
Episodes 18 & 19 dropping this Monday and Tuesday
On the US versions of Alive 3 Take It Off is omitted. WTF
Musically the album is one of their best, but sonically it sounds flat (clear, but flat)! The master was probably one of those terrible sounding "eumatic" tapes from the "primitive" digital age (digital has improved significantly since)! Why an artist would choose that over a 1/4 inch 15/30 IPS analogue tape for their final master is beyond me! That's all just my personal opinion, it's ok to disagree!😊
Unholy is the best non make up era KISS song but Revenge is very overrated. I also like Domino and Carr Jam 1981.
A terribly overrated album with lackluster songs, as if they went 'look, we can be heavy' except it's heavy for the sake of it where Creatures of the Night actually had much better material on it, so it's somewhere near the bottom for me...
