I have this kit with the original hardware as well. I'm lucky to have it. Not as shiny but hey, it's been used with love and what more could you want in a used haha.
I had a custom set of blue vista lite back in 72. Huge drums - 13", 14" and 16" with 24" bass drum all open ended. What a punch. My only complaint when I took the heads off were the poorly machined edges. Looked like someone took a huge rasp to them. Not even flat or smooth. They sure were pretty drums though!

My brother just traded his old junker car for this drum set for me. It’s early 70s as far as I can tell. I’m digging it a lot
I have a set of 1976 Vistalites in this color. I use Evans G2 heads and they sound great. I like to muffle the bass drum a bit.
Sweet set ! 💥 👍💨
My high school jazz band had a kit just like that one.
Would you know where ii can get these sets if any??? Tried looking to see if Ludwig makes them still but no luck.
Hang in for a bit. 2022 is the 50th anniversary of Vistalite. Stay tuned.
I have a lit just like this, it’s allegedly early 70s. How much do you think I could get out of it?
