Tag Force will always be the best. The feeling of actually being in there is incredible. Especially with japanese voices, character animations, the music and everything.

it came back on ds but only a few games were made on ds;sadly its not on 3ds but legacy of the duelist link evolution is coming to switch in the summer of 2019 and is already out in japan and for 32$ its a good price for the game it comes with all the dlc and is 10$ more than the original price also you get to play the game anywere
i agree, i played 2008 and 2009. unfortunately i lost the 2008 one but when im rly bored i launch up the 2009 on my old ds.

@@genericname2593 I've experienced both of what you 2 are talking about and i totally agree with you, those where the worst part in the games , also the one against the earthbound who had the whale.. he had this condition which said '' finish the game after i've summoned my earthbound '' and some games he wouldn't even summon it :p
I like the 5d's world championship games to, I've played and beaten all of them. I'm also a fan of the Tag Force series on PSP. They all have they're flaws of course: Turbo Dueling in Stardust Accelerator was terrible (thankfully they got much better in Reverse of Arcadia and Over the Nexus due to using Speed World 2), D-Wheel track design in Reverse of Arcadia made no sense plus the game would sometimes slow down when the racing got too intense and Over the Nexus cut out a lot of content in comparison to the previous titles (animations, sprites, character design). The Tag Force games weren't perfect either, they all had quite a high difficulty spike for those starting a new game file and the AI partners for Tag Duels weren't always the sharpest tools in the shed. Despite all this, they're filled with tons of charm and fun in their own ways. I like to believe these games were the best that had come out before the quality of future titles started to nosedive.
The GX/5D's tag force games were the best games overall, but the power of chaos games had insane quality, even if the content was only enough for 2 hours of playing.
My alltime favorite was "Nightmare troubadour" for the Nintendo DS. Of course I have every YGO game played and also love forbidden memories, duelist of the roses, all of the GBA Games, but this game was so.. Deep. I can really say, deep. As a child, I had very less friends. I was always the "YUGIOH nerd" and stuff, but it was okay. But in this game, you were your own character and even if this was also the same in some GBA Games, here you had the special to be friends with some of the characters and this created some special kind of feeling. Of course I knew that it is or better was just a game, but it took so much time for me to be some kind of friends with Kaiba and i was so freaking proud after it. This game helped me over a lot of time, where I was really really alone and so it's some kind of special game for me and I would wish, I could get a game like this again, today :) With the old rules of course. The XYZ rules etc. aren't mine xD

When I was a child I just played nightmare Troubadour and is also really nostalgic for me. Definitely a great game.
You can't go wrong between the PSP or DS Yu-gi-oh games, both consoles were fire for Yu-gi-oh games.
Can't believe how Yugioh games has evolved so much so far can't wait to play legacy of the duelist link evolution on nintendo switch
you already can if you make a japanese switch account and go to playasia and purchase digital eshop codes on there site it works and i already have yu-gi-oh! legacy of the duelist link evolution way before america gets it;and its already in english to so no need to re buy it when the english version comes out

I go with Forbidden Memories and Capsule Monster Coliseum but I havent played Falseboung Kingdom and Duelist of the Roses was a little bit weird for me, even though I had fun with it for maybe 10 hours as a kid :D

Power of chaos is my first childhood Yu-Gi-Oh game ever played, so much memories and nostalgia good job!
the things I like about YU-GI-OH! tag force series are:
1- Speed up the game.
2- skip summon/attack animation, if you want to.
3- Buy the whole box(s) of packages and open them one by one or skip it.
Yu-gi-oh legacy of the duelist has completely ruined that.
@Bronks2012 yeah man ikr, but Konami maybe want to destroy itself, because, they just need to give us a new Tag Force with all recent cards, let us play the old formats, like GX rules, or Pendulum rules, etc.
Also put all cards available at the store, not that dlc crap on LotD.

Omg I finally found out what the game I played as a kid was. It was Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Yugi the Destiny. I wonder if can still play it now.
Power of Chaos is literally the best, smooth gameplay never not fun, good card variety, extremely soothing/upbeat music, and entire Tournaments were built on Joey's online, the originl for me, and a very high standard imo.
They should have exchanged Yugi with Joey in the 1st and 3rd games, the first game is very lacking in cards, but the 2nd and 3rd are very good.
I will forever cherish these games and more! So many fond memories!

I have a lot of fond memories with yu gi oh duel arena. I remember being so hyped when I got yusei’s deck. This game got me into the yu gi oh franchise.

A lot of cool games, especially some unique early ones and the later tag force games, but I’m surprised that the unofficial Yu-Gi-Oh! VR is still the closest we’ve gotten to getting to experience Yu-Gi-Oh! fully the way it’s shown to be in the show

Yugioh Nightmare Trobadour and GX Spirit Caller are my favorites, it was one of the first games in the series in which you can use the touchscreen of a console Yugioh game to make duelling slightly more quicker. One of the only issues I had with the game is how you needed to do specific requirements to progress the game.

Play the fanmade simulator too ygopro, its fill anything that you need to play in real life Yu-Gi-Oh.
But prepare to face a lot nuisance like orcust which is a very tough deck to beat.

capsule monsters coliseum is my favorite yugioh game ever.
I have played Yu-Gi-Oh! from its early days of release in germany on. But with the introduction of the Xyz monsters I began to lose interest in this game. From that moment on everything was about doing the most Special Summons within one single turn. Some say, that the speed of duels was increased by that measure, but that's wrong. The number of turns in a duel decreased, but every single turn needed much more time for summons, deck searching, graveyard searching, Extra Deck searching.
So you can say: today, Yu-Gi-Oh! is a game about searching and summoning :D
Geht mir genauso. Außerdem kann man YuGiOh Weltmeisterschaften nichtmal mehr ansehen, da dauert ein Spiel 20 Minuten und in 15 Minuten davon werden nur Karten rausgesucht, das Deck gemischt von beiden Spielern nur damit man 5 Sekunden später genau das gleiche macht im selben Zug weshalb daa mischen KOMPLETT unnötig war. Da sehe ich lieber Topf der Gier 3mal im deck statt gebannt und dafür die raussuchkarten gebannt... und ich bin auch seit XYZ raus. Pendel, Link, blablabla... Synchromonster waren noch cool, aber am schönsten war die Zeit mit den alten decks auch wenn Elementarhelden voll cool waren so als ich noch jünger war.

The thing i love the most about YuGiOh games is the music, specially from the classic era before GX
The music from Duelist of the Roses and Capsule Monsters Coliseum is just as good as Final Fantasy's
World Championship 2004 and Dawn or Destiny also have great tracks, i love the main menu theme from WC 2004 and the sound effects from Forbidden Memories that where used A LOT for these games
Whoever composed the OST for these games deserves to compose for God
Konami needs to just make a solid Yugioh game in VR with all monsters in 3D and they wouldn't have to make another game ever again. That game alone would rack up so much sales.
I see your argument, but then the predatory aspect from the gatcha aspect would be too tempting for them to pass up.
I guess if they made a trading system within the game it'd make for easier obtaining, but question is - would they be game for it.
My first YGO was Forbidden Memories, back then in 2000, It was cool for his time, then Duelist of the Roses and BAM (it had a weird gameplay, but somehow it was funny, but it was too much P2W), when I started played official game (ARC-V Tag Force Special, yep, I didn't played YGO for years) I realized that thoses games bring you alternatives forms of winning, since then I played only the official, the only exception is duel links, maybe his limited game suck for some people, but it has his own meta and I thinks ranked game that offers and the possibility to play comfortably in your house, with your friends, etc, is nice, when Legacy of the the Duelist Link Evolution, I was hyped, finally something official from konami, but when was announced as switch exclusive, my heart was broken..., I really expected multiplataform game, so I hope that is temporaly.
I know the existence of YGO PRO, but is fun when you play with friend only and for test new cards, it has nothing more to offers 🤷♂️.
