- Hey its XoAnnette! I will be using the crochet method to install Fashion Dread Loc Extensions. INSTALL IN TWO HOURS!! I used the crochet method to hand make these locs and to install them. In this video I am attaching a loc extension to my models hair instantly. The extensions have LOOSE KINKY HAIR at the tip so its super easy to install.

Never cut the frizz!!! Smh, would've been A1 on point if the frizz hadn't been cut. These are not zillions or box braids that need to have every hair in place. The frizz does help to strength the loc, a palm roll would have been just fine.

I do locx extensions first time I see people plait it into the locks we normally crotchet it into the client hair but it came out wonderful...

It depends if they making the locs from scratch then add it on. But she already have hers in stock so it's faster to just add them on.
Well she’s just attaching pre made Locs ……soo doesn’t compare to someone hand wrapping faux Locs from scratch

12 hrs are for stylist who actually crochet them in properly. She used mostly a braid and wrap method without much time crocheting the locs.

I was a little worried at the beginning but they came out really good..... 😍 love them!!
She does a great job when doing locs I just don't like the loc extensions she uses. They always seem too big or something. However, I would definitely go to her for styling and maintenance.
She has to use bigger ones because the part determines how big her locs will grow to be. So, if she used smaller locs her natural hair would grow into bigger locs when retwisted, but then she’ll have these skinny locs at the bottom.

They look great! What I don't understand is these videos say 'tutorial' or 'how to'......then the person does it so fast that I have no clue what they did and they only do one of course. How would someone that isn't familiar with installing them be able to figure out what they're doing? I've watched 3 different ones now and they're exactly the same. I think I'm just gonna have to pay the $200 to have them done by a stylist. It might just be that I'm the only one that can't see what they are doing with the crochet hook but I would be surprised if it was. She did a beautiful job tho and she looks phenomenal.
Can you use kinky curly virgin hair to make the permanent loc extension? My hair is a 3c texture and I feel that mimics my hair better. I know I can make it i have made them already but I guess I'm asking will they stay in once installed.

Agreed. I don’t like her loc extensions because the clients hair always looks thinner than the loc. You can literally see where the extension starts. I also think it’s the method she’s using as well. I had extensions and the stylist never braided the loc in. She’s still a great loctician. Just not with extensions
It’s just like the regular dread process.. it’s gonna take time for the hair at the root to thicken up
@@nnekajustbetalking9661 it’s not going to “thicken up” the density of her hair will remain the same. I had loc extensions so I know. She’s using a braid technique that I don’t like. Plus the ratio is off. That’s why the extension looks thicker than the client’s hair.
@@MsNisha314 girl I’ve done MULTIPLE peoples extensions and they “thicken” up as the hair grows. It’s literally like getting a retwist. your hair must just be weak.

The older they get with washes it will look better. The only issue I had with the installation was her cutting the loose hair.
Lunar Dream a good install doesn’t need washes to look good lol this technique is real popular now. it’s supposed to be SEAMLESS she literally just added the hair on however she could as long ass it stayed put 😂 then had the nerve to “trim” the hairs away which is what u need to build your foundation. smh. this why u cant let everybody do ya hair. they have to much of a following for this bs

Looks great! I already have dreads to my back and semi free form a lot can you add extensions to already long mature dreads? Would like for my hair to look full my dreads are thick but would just like for my entire head to be full would you let me know if you can do that? Thanks!

Hey great job with your tutorial. Do you have a take down video for these dreads (doesn't have to be these ones specifically). I worried about the take down since the hair is infused together.
Yea she didnt really make it clear in the video but that method is a permanent loc extension for people who dont want to go through the actual locing phases of growing them out naturally. If you want temporary locs I wouldnt do this.

I have a question. So, I worked for a loctician, but now I want to branch off and do my own thing. Every client she'd install loc extensions on shed give them 2 strand twist. She says that it helps the locs to stay in without slipping. So, I just wanted to know if there is any slippage with just installing the locs like this ? will they hold up.

Hair used is human & CAN be dyed. Her hair (Star - in video with the pink locs ) is short or to some mid length- and the locs that are in her head ARE extensions... && dyed 💅🏽💃🏽
Also after watching this video I’m guessing the client did NOT want them as a transition as some might yet for the “FASHION”🤷🏽♀️ because she said she used the color and less crochet so the client can easily find the place to remove.
She sells the loose hair bulk for the faux loc method & blend, clip ins & rolled locs 10in, 14 & 16 if I remember correctly. Even without this stylist (Star) adding the extensions.... every client/ person hair when twisted locks differently. (Consider white people💁🏽♀️) my Husband is African and we started his locs with braids... my god mother did double strand twist and I know my daughter has curly fine (fuzzy/shiny) hair and within 3-6 days ...if not combed WILL create locs on their own 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
If you can do better with the install I’m sure the blend will be better.... image using number 2b....4 or 6 on undyed hair ..... the possibilities are endless.
Some people’s face frame doesn’t look attractive with the short beginnings of the “Natural loc journey”.... movies.... pictures.... cosplay.... trend or something more professional suitable for those in the 9-5 workforce this will be like braces or training wheels ....
