Last season, Georgia had a game plan for Jalen, not Tua. This season, Georgia had a game plan for Tua, not Jalen.
Not really Tua was barely standing on one leg. Same problem OSU has you can’t be elite without having a dual threat QB. Tua couldn’t run since he was injured so they stepped up their pass defense. That’s why Jalen was so effective in the game.

Tua hurt his ankle on the first drive, so he wasnt able to run. And was passing off. So Georgia realized that and stepped up their pass defense. Because they knew he couldn’t escape the pocket.

I'm a Buckeye fan for life, period and have always downed Bama any chance I'd got. I guess just because they are always that good, but gotta say I've got mad respect for Jalen Hurts and that team this year. The poise and loyalty this guy showed staying with the team after losing his starting job and then the grit and talent he has to come in when needed and lead them to a come back win. It was awe inspiring to me and that's what college football was always supposed to be about in my mind. Being a team and doing whatever it took to win, even if it was sitting on the bench and waiting until it was your chance again. Kudos Jalen Hurts and good luck to Bama the rest of the way.....probably the first and last time I'll ever say it but, Roll Tide!!

Jalen Hurts has my respect till the end. When he was taken out last year and Tua won the champ. Jalen was the first on the field to congratulate him. Now Jalen shines again. Way to go Jalen.

Jalen Hurts is the best qb in the country I feel...this young man is not out for himself. Look at this young man he truly is a team player. Look Tua is as good as advertised truly...but he is not that far ahead of Jalen...look at what Jalen did when he came in for Tua last night. This kid has ice water in his veins and his arm looked OK to me last night. I just feel that Jalen was done wrong and this has nothing to do with Tua either...But the fact that Jalen didn't red shirt or transfer should tell you Alabama people volumes. Look I am a razorback but I also know that Alabama is the class of college football and has been for years...But Jalen is my favorite qb in college football and has been since he started as a true freshman that looked like a 5th year senior hesiman winner his first game...I think coaches are obscene sometime in this case...but I also understand that coach saban has a business to run here too like...KEEP WINNING AT ALABAMA. As a competitor, i can only imagine how it felt to go through all he went through for a whole year just to get put back in the same position to redeem himself! Love Jalen for everything he stands for and represents in today's "instant gratification" youth and civilization in general. He's always so humble and shows so much class. So glad he stayed and hung in there to support the team for when his number may be called. Other QB's transfer out while Jalen stayed and learned from Enos and team mates who helped evolve his game to being a more balanced, potent QB and not just a runner. It has showed all throughout the season that he has become a better passer. When he got hurt in the UT game, had surgery and then came back for his first time in the Citadel game he got a massive standing ovation from the entire stadium and Bama Nation.
