    Jalen, you proved today what the word team means more at Alabama Football than any other place. you wrote you name in Crimson Flames today and you will always be remembered with the likes of Alabama quarter backs like, Namath, Sloan, Stabler, Davis, Rutledges, Todd, Fraley, Coker, Wilson, and so many more that were replaced or took over when needed, or shared QB duties to make Alabama Teams great over the years. it is not about individual glory, it is about winning as a team and playing your role. Cherish your memories, accomplishments, but more than that your teamates and the close bond with them that you have developed. Roll Tide Roll, Former Student Trainer 1970 - 1974, E. Parsons.

      @ImNotMad ButUR Good post. I'm not gonna deny that Tua is a great quarterback but so is Jalen. But they are two different kinds of quarterbacks. Jalen was going thru a slump in last year's Natty and they had to put Tua in to try and spark something. And he did. And hit and unbeleivable play in overtime to win the game. That spark Tua lit became a fire. And he's been rolling every since until last night in the SEC championship. Now he's slumping and went out with an injury as you know. Jalen stepped up like the champion he is. And HE pulled off an unbelievable comeback. Now he's the Hero! AGAIN! Like he has been is so many games since he got to Alabama! What's happens from here on out ? I don't know ? But Jalen will always be one of Bama's all time greats. He has led our guys like a MAN. Even while on the bench. Classy man. Pure athelete. The appetomy of courage and determination. Roll Tide! And Roll Jalen! This world needs more like him.

    • @randyjordan5521
      @randyjordan5521 6 років тому +3

      @ImNotMad ButUR I liked most of your comments, but as a Bama fan, I didn't "turn on Jalen with a vengeance" after the Clemson loss. If you recall, Jalen ran for the go-ahead TD in that game with just two minutes left. It was Bama's exhausted defense that allowed Clemson to drive back down the field to score the winning TD. I, along with most other people, knew that Tua was a phenom coming in last year, but I never believed that that automatically made Jalen a loser. I thought that Jalen should have still been the starter because of his proven success and his extra year of experience. Jalen proved yesterday that he can do pretty much the same things Tua does. I'm just glad that Bama has two great QBs who can lead their team to victory.

      @ ImNotMad - Jalen wore out the defense all year in 2016/17 because he didn't have the ability to maintain drives (ie couldn't throw).It finally caught up with us against Auburn 2017 (after almost 2 years). Real arm chair coaches (like me) know Jalen should have been replaced sooner. If they had, we would have another Natty. FACTS!! RTR!!

    Remember - Jalen was pulled last year because he was ineffective and couldn't move the team. Fast forward to this year - Tua was moving the team for the tying score when he had to leave for injury. Our defense had already picked up after the Georgia missed FG.Had Tua been able to finish the game, the result would've been the same, plus he would have won the Heisman.We were ALL very lucky that Kirby went fake punt instead of kicking!

      Anthony Turner you so full of shit. It happened the way it was supposed to. Hurt had almost as many yards I nine throws as Tua had in 3 qt. The difference is just like it was last year when the game planned for Jalen and not Tua. This year vice versa. If Tua had stayed in that game it a a different result. I know. Racist don’t understand that!!

      Why I gotta be racist if I have a different opinion. I'm black BTW.

      I know this is old but, you obviously didn't watch the game. Tua did not play well at all, granted he was hurt. His last two drives went 3 & out before he got hurt on the third so I don't know where you get this "we were driving" crap from. When 2 came in, UA scored on both possessions. I can't prove you're a passive aggressive racist but if you are that wouldn't make sense seeing as that neither Tua nor Jalen are white..so yeah.

    So proud of that kid! When he came in to replace Tua, I put all my confidence in him. Alabama fought hard to take that game back. Impressive!
