@@beatriooz is it grammatically “correct” to spell it as learnt? or would you in most cases spell it with an -ed but knowingly pronounce it as -t?
@@edwinguerrero4073 if you refuse to take OP’s word, just google it. “Learnt” is indeed the UK pronunciation/spelling. Also spelling is not the same as grammar.

I know your a grown woman but your so happy in this video. It’s adorable lol.
Hahaha 😂🤗 yes, when I talk about Spanish I suddenly don’t feel very grown 🤣💕 everything becomes super exciting
Hi Nigerian sister! I learned Spanish some years ago too and I’m Nigerian as well! Your Spanish is so good! You sound great! But I will just say I totally learned to speak Spanish from Netflix. Lol. I did take 4 semestres of Spanish class during university but after completing them I still could not enter a SINGLE conversation nor could I understand ANYTHING from the natural rhythm of native Spanish speakers. I just decided to start watching novelas thinking it would never work and lo and behold after some months I noticed my skills were getting better and better to the point I’m now fluent. Now I did have a specific method I followed and watched with subtitules and broke everything down as I went and having the background of Spanish class was helpful but it did work perfectly for me! Just wanted to throw that in with regard to learning from shows!
That’s amazing! Netflix is definitely useful I can’t deny. The classes would help with the foundations of grammar and some vocabularies. In my case, Netflix was wayyy to advanced🤣🤣🤣 Enhorabuena hermana ❤️❤️🇳🇬
Great! Watching novels helps a lot! But...what about being part of a conversation with a native teacher? You only need practice, and we offer that opportunity :)
What novelas did you start with on Netflix?
@@alexaash8113 So many of them are now off 😭as I started watching about 10 years ago. But some of the ones I've seen on Netflix that I loved and are still there are Las Munecas de la Mafia, La Reina del Flow, The Marked Heart and Romina Poderosa. Bear in mind that these are all Colombian (so will have a bunch of their country-specific words/accent) as I ended up picking up Colombian Spanish and focusing specifically on their series but I recommend all of those!
@@GlobalSpanishPortuguese Yes! Always looking for more opportunities to practice speaking

It's not a 100m, it's a marathon, dijo Brenda de Hola Spanish. Many great teachers on YT, she's the easiest to understand.
I like the Colombians, they speak des-pa-ci-to. But living near Spain, I listen to María Español. Great lady from Sevilla.
I took a real teacher, french, her husband is from Peru, and she knows the latin American culture I'm interested in.
And I sing the lyrics of the best band in Cuba. Havana D'Primera. Español de la calle, gran sonero, groove fenomenal.
Yes I like the Colombian accent very much too! Thanks for sharing María Español, I find her useful as well 💕 I will give Havana D’Primera a listen too 🎧 sounds good!👌

Why do you have the background music. Is already hard to understand your English with the sound it becomes extremely difficult to listen to you. Please eliminate music in next video pertaining to language learning
I understand, I didn’t realise the music was a bit loud. I hope you could still take some value away from it regardless. In my other videos I make sure the music is much quieter 🙌🏾💕

I'm learning German in uni and I use just duolingo, what resources do you use?
@krysPaxton what resources do you use? I am currently learning Mandarin and using Duolingo. I also have Rosetta Stone downloaded but I feel as if it runs slowly and prefer the set up of Duolingo so I stop using Rosetta Stone and mainly using Duolingo. Also love the reminders and challenges on Duolingo. Going forward , since I already paid for Rosetta Stone, I want to practice Duolingo in the morning and Rosetta Stone in the afternoon (or visa versa because I can get reminders in the afternoon from Duolingo if I forget in the afternoon)

Y yo...tratando de aprender inglés ❤
Girl u got this
I learned Spanish while living in Spain. Here’s what I did. 1) I moved to a village for 8 months. Barely anyone spoke English and I needed to eat so I had to figure things out quickly. lol. 2) I used Netflix with a Chrome Language extension that allows you to slow things down, highlight and save words and phrases. You can also view subtitles simultaneously in 2 languages and change the audio. 3) I use the language drops app. 4) I’d force myself to have several interactions with strangers daily to practice speaking - this could be having lunch alone and chatting with the staff to going on free or low cost tours or asking for directions.
5) I switched my phone to Spanish and I chose a bank that only had Spanish speakers. It forces you to try your hardest. 6) I also used dating apps to practice colloquial terms and meet people. Explaining that I only wanted to practice the language didn’t go so well with some of the guys. I let it known that was my intention before I met up with anyone (always in public and never at night). Just be honest. Now that I’m learning Portuguese, I’ve taken my first language course (hated it) but I’m trying to interact with more women through apps and in conversation groups. Portuguese has not been as easy for me. I don’t have the ear for it and only really feel comfortable trying after I’ve had a few drinks. I am not going the dating app route this time around, to keep my sanity.
You’ve given me hope to keep trying and I love your energy. Thank you for this video!
Hey! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 💕The dating apps part is so creative 😂 and I can see how that might not go to plan 😭😭
I also have my phone switched to Spanish, it definitely helps me learn new words unexpectedly.
Good luck with Portuguese, you say you don’t have the ear for it but you know it’s just practice and you’ll get used to it 🤗

Hi there. My name is James and I'm from the US but I currently live in Spain. I've been learning Spanish since 2008 (yep, I'm old) and I came across your interview with Mike yesterday and was very impressed. It's not easy to learn a language but you possess the two qualities I think are essential when it comes to advancing in a language. Confidence and motivation. Many people will say it's impossible to learn a language as quickly as you, but few lack the patience to work as hard as you did. Clearly, it's an ongoing process and fluency can be achieved at various stages in the game. Anyway, I just felt I should congratulate you on your achievement. Well done.
Hi James from the US! 🤗
That comment really means a lot to me 🥹 And I think you described the key ingredients of motivation and confidence perfectly. I acknowledge that naturally my confidence lacks often since it’s not my native language but my motivation and curiosity keeps me going! Self-confidence is 100% necessary 💕

I want to learn Igbo & Spanish. How long would you say you studied per day on average for Spanish? Not sure if I missed where you mentioned it
Hey! At the beginning I studied around 4 hours a day, this went down to about 3 hours after a few months, then 2 and now I aim for about 1. I naturally studied less hours as I began to master the grammar, everyone’s timing will be different but I recommend starting intense and letting it naturally calm down. That’s the quickest way to get fluent in my opinion! 💕
Me escuchara musica en espanol a veces (which I hope helps me). My written spanish is somewhat readable but my speaking & listening is very poor atm though. New sub. Great video!!
I’m glad you enjoyed! And it’s great you can identify which areas are stronger than others, that’s gonna help you improve quicker! 💕
I am a native Portuguese speaker. I did Spanish in uni, but I know all until intermediate level…can’t speak but can understand…wish I could be fluent like you
Hi! That’s so cool! 🤩
Since you have studied the language up to B2, you have already done most of the hard work. Getting to fluency for you now is the easier part🤗
Have you seen my video on how to pass intermediate level? That could help with getting fluent sooner💕
