My army reserve recruit course in November/December 1993 at Brighton Army Camp Tasmania was the first intake to be trained exclusively on the F88 and the bayonet issued was the US M7.
An interesting look at an otherwise unknown and long forgotten part of Australian bayonet history. I wonder if there’s any trials photos floating around of the F88 with the L1A2 bayonet attached.

@JMorris297 I doubt it, next time I go there I might take one. I did get some footage of a glock knife bayonet lug

@madaboutmilitaria3630 more than likely they picked m7 because it's cheap to make and the u.s. has large numbers stored.
