Fun but, I must admit I love my 2005 Crossfire. Never really enjoyed always goofing around with the engine to keep her running well, as my daily driver. Then again I restored a 1941 McCormick Deering Tractor because I love the Mechanical sound and older technology. Crazy old world...

I noticed under the hood the tubes to the PVC value are crimped in the turns. I had a 66 TR4A and they will collapse and cause considerable blowback all over the engine. If you shorten them the problem goes away. If you wonder how I know. One night driving back to Montreal from school in Ontario, I thought I smelled a little burning oil. Being a Triumph I ignored the smell. Stopping for gas, I jumped out of the car to have a pee and asked the attendant to fill the car with super. Half way to the store, the attendant yelled, "hey your car is on fire!" I ran back to the car opened the hood and found the problem. A collapsed hose on the PCV valve. Oil all over the engine burning off the exhaust Manifold . I had replaced the hose because it was cracked and leaking. I cut the hose too long and it collapsed at the bend. That night I simply added oil, it was down, topped it up drove the rest of the way back home. Changed the hoses, cleaned the engine compartment and never had the problem again. Next Chapter, Vapour lock in cold temperatures........... They were so much fun to drive and to learn from.

I just saw the same car going to a scrap yard. It pained me to see that crane grab it and toss it in dump. I tried to stop it to save it, but I was 10 seconds too late.

Nice car, I had one and it should have dual exhaust. That was standard back in the day.

I noted that as well, cold start, then run the hell out of it. Be on the lookout for rod knocks in this cars future
