Mine just shipped in today but I wont be able to use it til Sunday. This video just got me super stoked on this piece of hardware. A lot of cool options. Extremely helpful video!
Technically the P 16 is a personal monitor mixer. In-ear monitors or IEM’s refer to the actual earbuds along with a wireless or wired hadphone amplifier.
Nicely done tutorial. We don't always have time to give new team members a comprehensive lesson on the P16's, so I'm always trying to pull them aside and show them these features. Especially panning, which really helps separate everything in your ears. I'm thinking of doing a similar tutorial for our specific team, but yours covers all the basics already. I also created an Excel label strip, but without the colors. I'll check your out and may just switch them out. :-)
What is the best way to connect 4.4 balanced IEMs to the power play? Just use an adapter from the 6.5 to 4.4female? Or use the two R&L line outs to a 4.4 female?
We have a Beringer X32 and P16s. I would like the worship leader to to be able to hear the main Left and Right front of house signel in one channel on the p16s. Can I route the main left and right to a bus? I would then send the bus to the p16 where we could solo the p16 channel.
Great video but the drobox file has been deleted, any chance you could put that back up.... out everything I've seen yours are the best labels no doubt for the M16.... thx
Is there any possibility on the X32 mixer to set the gain independently from the P16M mixer? Every time when the mixing guy changing the gain of a certain channel live (FOH), the gain is changing in the P16M too, and ruining my settings of my monitor. Is there any possibility to solve this problem? Thanks.
Great question, I have experienced this myself. Our solution/policy is gain structure is set early in rehearsal and not touched again at all. If it's set properly there is really no need to adjust it live. Hope that helps!
Thanks Jim! The link for the label template is in the description. It's done in Excel so you can customize it however you need, print it out and attach it to the P16. Hope that helps!
Been using this for years. Love it. But im a guy with a very particular eq setting. Haven’t been able to find this anywhere but do you know what the frequency range is on the frequency knob for the mid? Maybe 250 to 4,000 hertz? Or maybe 300 to 2,000. Can anyone help with this for when adjusting the frequency knob next to the mid knob?
I looked in all the Behringer documentation on their website and have not seen a defined range. Contacting their tech support is the last place I can think to check. Sorry man!
At our church we had to use SHIELDED cat 5 ethernet cables. Using a long 150 ft unshielded ethernet cable caused internal issues with our X32 Digital mixer. We now use 100% shielded cables with no ill effect. The shielded cables cost more but better that having your digital board reset itself mid performance! www.cables.com/Category/Category-5-shielded-cables.aspx?gclid=CjwKCAiAv9riBRANEiwA9Dqv1VL0RjYz7xnvOjSSXjNZGXyHLcf17v9e9P5iWCSigEMEhx7_wLOWIRoCz88QAvD_BwE
The P16-M connection is not ethercon. However, shielded Cat5 (or better) cables are specified for all Ultranet connections by Behringer. Don't risk problems by trying to use unshielded cables.
Very helpful. We use these at my church. I only have a basic understanding of how to use them. Your video gave me a better understanding. Thanks.
This is exceptional and straight to the point…thank you

It is not exclusively an in ear system. It can run wedges too. This might be confusing to some.
thanks, sent it to the entire worship team.

🤯life changing video🤯 thank you!
It's my pleasure!

Thanks! The Behringer website doesn't have any useful documentation on how to use the P16. Nothing explains the store or recall feature.

Very helpful. Thank you.
The Label Template isn't available anymore😢😢😢😢
Thanks for Labels!
please, I want to ask. if i have a personal monitor mixer p16 and i have an analog mixer but i do not have a direct out . So what should I do ? .
my church has around 6 channels for the drums so they take up a lot of channels already. is there a way to group them into one or two channels?
Yes, I believe they would be put into a subgroup on the X32 and then that subgroup would be routed as a single channel to the P16.
With regard to LINK and GROUP it's not clear if you are limited to having just one linked pair and/or just one group?
Great tutorial! Bit of a silly question, would I be able to use it in conjunction with a Wireless IEM say like the Sennheiser G4?
Yep, no problem.
Hello, can i use it on a Yamaha tf series?
Thank you!

@@WorshipEdge thank you for your response !
you could also solve this with a mic splitter, send one set of inputs to FOH and one to the IEMs, yes?
@@lassiterbenjamin Not realy.
@@szekerespista3758 your tap point should be pre fader. That prevents the main mix from affecting the P16
Thanks for this video. The manual is crap. Very helpful!
How many P16 can be used in one XR18?
Anyway to upload your label template back into dropbox? THX
Very helpful💯.
Glad it was helpful!
GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW I CAN SEND FX IN P16???
Can I get that p16 label template
Very good video! How did you do the labels?
Thanks Jim! The link for the label template is in the description. It's done in Excel so you can customize it however you need, print it out and attach it to the P16. Hope that helps!
@@WorshipEdge Is there a special paper you print on? ... or just print on regular paper & mount with clear packing tape?
@@jimwilder5264 Yes, just regular paper and packing tape
@@jimwilder5264 you can also buy A4 Sticker printer paper to print onto, and then cut out with a straight edge and craft knife
@Jim Wilder : do you have the template ?
Keytar? Wow.
Wait so are you saying the EQ can independently mix all 16 channels separately and again all together on the main selection??
The eq is only for the main not individual channels
The EQ is per channel, so yes, EQ can be mixed independently on all 16 channels and the main channel.

Worship Edge I actually found it. It’s 100 hertz to 10,000 hertz.
Good video.
Thanks!
I plan on getting some for my church. Would I need ethercon cables or would a plain ethernet cable work fine?
Hooked On Rogics worked for me! A regular cat5/6 cable should work fine

👍
Does all the drums need to be mic’d? To use these
They don’t have too but can be, we have all drums mic’d so we can adjust everything but again they don’t always have to be mic’d
Thanks
Hello
Does anybody know smth about the longevity of the P16?
I have been using the P16 for 6 years and have never had a problem with a unit and we owned 40 units.
@@WorshipEdge thanks man!
Can you daisy chain these together?
Yes you can. Every unit after the first in the chain will need power adapter connected.
or get the P16-D and then you don't have to have separate power per P16
can anyone tell me how to edit what the label says please??
Download the Label Template and open it up in Excel. then you can edit the channel name. and you can also change the colours if you want.
