💜My son wanted to do Karate when he was small. So I signed him up and the instructor was horrible. He did two classes and we stopped. I try to stay under $200 week for groceries. But I honestly need to keep better track of how much I actually spend since my husband wants to keep grocery $ in the account instead of cash💜

I try to stay at 200 a week on groceries for four of us but that includes any paper products/cleaning supplies too. You could have made change out of the envelope you were stuffing as well If you were stuffing $10 and there was $10 already in it put in a $20 and take the $10 out …. Or in hubby’s envelope you could have swapped some of the 5’s & 10’s for 20’s
I TRY and keep groceries at $200 a wk but it's hard. My kids school requires a lunchbox 3 days a week. (Thursday is hot lunch and half day fri) so we spend most of our budget on lunchables!!

@JennOnABudget no it doesn't include eating out. I would just start adding a little bit at a time to your budget and see what feels best for you. For me $300 work it's me,hubby and two teenagers.
I stuff $100 for food but I also have a separate envelope for bulk shopping at Costco or other wholesale clubs. so sorry to hear about the issues with taekwondo. Are you looking to switch your son to another instructor/company?

Us $200 too. 5 of us in the household. (Oldest child moved out so used to be 6 in that budget) even with 200 it's not enough :* 😢
