- UTU CEO Roman Shvets tells us about the printer they invented which accepts dry powder delivered to the extruder head mixed right before printing! This is an incredile innovation which has the potential to drastically reduce the waste found in long concrete hoses used by other systems. Could 3D printed buildings be the solution to rebuild Ukraine?

I wouldn’t say there is 10% waste - somewhere between 1-5% maybe but I just add that leftover material from start-up and clean-up into stepping stone molds (construction could use it for sidewalks, planters, etc) so less than 1% material is sent to trash.
Great solution, unfortunately some larger house projects have had over 20% waste from bad material or other issues. It’s really not uncommon.
@@automateconstructionpodcast 20% due to bad material is unfortunate. It seems like it could still be used at minimum as crushed base for the next concrete pad.
