So cool how “ Big Daddy Kane” gave you your props!! Great show!! You are helping folks with this podcast.( platform).. Big Daddy Kane is the “ Godfather!”
Let the B.I.G DA double DY EXPLODE!!! Just like a bomb in Vietnam so hit the alarm, I’ll be funky like an under arm!!! Big Daddy Kane for me growing up was the BEST!!! I was introduced to Kane by my older brother when I was in the 5th grade and I am 46 years old now and I still listen to Kane just about everyday. My kids are well versed on Big Daddy Kane. As I’m typing this I hear my son upstairs on the phone talking about hip hop with his friend and I hear him say “stop, hold up, pause, quit change the groove and funk it up a little bit.” A verse from Kane’s song Get Bizzy and it is 1 in the morning where I am right now. I know this message is long but Kane’s music meant a lot to me growing up! Listening to his music gave me confidence in class because he spoke so well and used words that enhanced my vocabulary. He made me want to speak and use words that made people think. I had confidence with the girls because as a kid you tried to be like who you liked. Outside of my Dad and brothers it was Kane and Micheal Jordan. I had confidence on the court as well. I would be out there hooping saying to myself “competition shut up cause I’m R.A.W. I really can’t put into words on how much Kane’s music meant to me and the impact he had on my life but just know it is still making a mark with me today cause I still listen to it like it was just released today. I appreciate this interview and seeing Kane more cause people normally fade into the background and you don’t see them until something bad happens then we want to give them their flowers. Give it to them while they are still here and if I could talk to Kane or just meet him I would let him know how he impacted my life. Love, Peace, and Hair Grease!
