Their lyrics are still phenomenal almost 40 years later - but the prophecy of "fifty years down the line, you can start this Cuz we'll be the Old School artists" and "...my rhymes will remain like a hieroglyphics" is nuts watching this 30 years after they wrote it!
BDK was the first Hip Hop concert I’ve ever attended, back in 1989 at the legendary Concert Hall. The show was🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’ve seen KRS 6 times in Toronto🇨🇦, and I was never ever disappointed, not once. Even had the honour of meeting Kris back in 1995, one of the most down to earth brother I’ve ever met.

This was the perfect verzuz… maybe cause it was less of a battle and more of a professional concert highlighting some of the greats of hip hop and the whole of the culture. Much respect for the numerous guest performances from so many other amazing artists of the era and giving them a platform with two of the best ever, KRS One and Big Daddy Kane. This video, unlike other videos, you can actually hear the crowd say all of KRS' lyrics and you can tell how hype he had the crowd. He definitely won in this video, but Kane was on 🔥too!!! However, in other videos, you can't hear the crowd and in those videos Kane won easily.
Both Legendary MC’s, both great performers. Still rapping live better than most young artists. Brings back so many good memories from school days. Kane was one of my favourite rappers back then, got more into BDP when I heard “loves gona get ya” Material Love. Many more. Heard “Poetry and My Philosophy “ way bat and loved them but didn’t really appreciate KRS’s music till I was a bit older and wiser. Wrath of Kane was one of my favourites. They both won this Versus… Big these Legendary OG’s up!!!!!! When rap music had positive messages…. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Maybe just Cuz i wasn't there, but the crowd spit most of Blasmaster's verse (which says lots, for sure). Sounds less good in a video than when you're there... I'm sure.

I didn't like the fact that KRS-One had the audience doing most of the lyrics.
One or two lines is nice but damn he had the audience doing the whole fucking songs.
They came to hear KRS spit ryhmes not each other, Kane understood that and gave the audience a great show.
