Failure configuring windows updates reverting changes screen stuck fix

Ok. the same thing happened next day too. Solution :
I forgot to disable it's automatic windows update so the computer downloaded updates and installed again.
failure to ..... appeared again in safe mode for couple of time but did go to safe mode eventually.
so , after doing all those above steps , click on
start button,
type in services.msc
press enter
double click on windows update
now on startup type , change automatic to disabled.
then click ok to confirm .
Then restart your computer .

Had this issue for a week now and i found a REAL SOLUTION!!! I took my laptop to the back yard, shot it with my .38, went to best buy and bought a mac book. No issues since! Let me know how it works for you guys

Had to leave computer running over night just to get into safe mode but did eventually go. Followed all steps including description and for now it's worked! Thanks man. Gonna make sure windows update can never run again.
It worked more or less. I was at the stage of manually uninstalling updates until it no longer wanted to uninstall them. Weird. So I turned it on in normal mode and it worked. Now I'm restoring the last restore point.
My problem occurred because I was installing the updates and the power went out. My laptop's battery was dead so it turned off immediately.

I clicked on safe mode and it shows the same message "failure windows updates revering changes" for a while

This is what happened before this happened: while you shutting down your computer, you got an update but after the update installed, there are 3 stages which the third stage you got stuck and I'm just gonna wait for about 4 hours and it's still the same. That's what happened before this happened.

Jpt Man, this is an old post . . but I will have to say many thanks! . . My work laptop was stuck at Windows Updates at 35% for both normal & safe modes . . I had to rewind to catch you saying while booting up in safe mode to just wait for it to respond and it did . . Got it back up (Windows 7 Prof Edition) and running all thanks to you documenting these procedures . . . Sad that Microsoft themselves can't document these tutorials on UA-cam! . . Have a Bless Day!

I wanna share my story, when I entered safe mode, that text pop up again. Then I just turn it off again then log in normal mode. It works as usual 😂. I go to settings then turn off automatic update

I had an error with Compilation 7601 and Unoriginal Windows Version text at the corner of the screen, so I put some commands in the console and by some fooling around I ordered the updates to be installed, so two days ago I got like 162 updates and this text today. I waited for 3 hours and nothing. But your video saved me. Ahhamed to say that, bud I didn't even know such a thing as safe mode existed.

This actually works. Tysssm. I actually got stuck and it said not all updates have been installed and i wasn't able to uninstall them. But i proceeded w the next step and shut it down. And bombclaat it switched on. Thanks again.

+the master You need to keep trying. It wont do on 1 go. Will take several time. Just switch off if it stays more than 10 min. Hope that helps.

I don't know how many times you have tried but sometime it will take a really good many times. Other option might be, install a new windows but surly not win 7.

First thing though, we need to enter Safe mode first hand & allow the computer to revert the updates for 3~4 hours.
The window Download patch Files mentioned are huge and so it take a fair amount of time to reverse it. It took longer if you're on normal mode.
Once the revert is complete you can logon to the desktop then follow JPTMAN youtube instructions manually.

Never update your windows. It's always more harmul to your system than not updating it, especially never update it if you haven't updated it for a year or two. It will crash for sure.

My laptop switched on after waiting for about half an hour and then I followed everything you mentioned in the video, but when it comes to uninstalling installed updates, it's coming like 'Windows Installer Service is not accessible in safe mode. Please try again when your computer is not in safe mode or you can use System Restore to return your machine to a previous good state'. Please tell me what to do.😭😭

i already deleted the recent updates on local disk C windows folder.. the part on 2:00 - 2:38 is the one im having problems with. :(

Small note, when uninstalling the updates, i saw a few new updates under .NET. i left those alone and only uninstalled those under "Windows". And it worked.
I follow your video arrived at the last step i couldnt uninstall last program downloaded it said uninstall failed it is about NET framework 4. 8 could you please help me i have all my work in this laptop thank you

I don't know how this can work for others. I followed the instructions exactly and when you come to the step "Uninstalling the latest updates" you are not allowed getting the error "Cannot install in Safe Mode". However just deleting the latest updates from the download folder seemed to fix my problem and all we back into the normal UI

I was having this problem. I left my computer on overnight and it still didn't update. It turns out the wireless mouse was blocking the update somehow. When I plugged it out my computer finally reverted back the changes and I was able to log in.

I had to reboot in safe mode 4 or 5 times and waited an hour each time before it worked. But it did work.
I had 325 updates installed yesterday as well - which is very strange - I had to delete them one at a time.
